Thanks it is a great looking theme. I like it a lot. The only criticism I have is that it is hard to see which games are coming next when you are selecting a game. But I am not sure if there is any way to fix that without messing up your layout.

here are some suggestions.

So here is some brainstorming. Feel free to bash it but I think it looks all right. First version is only using your fan art for a background with added text. The second version is a little more modified.

I like it. If you don't mind me asking why Alyssa? Can you upload it for testing? I think if you share it I would make your fan art poster full screen and blurry and add game description text on top.

Have you made any progress on the themes. Also I thought that xbox one theme is beautiful but some of its features are designed specifically for the xbox. In our case emulation is the biggest thing. So, it will need to be a bit different. I am not sure how though.

Could you please post an image of your game selection screen. This one I assume is the emulator screen. I have a few suggestions already but I would like to see some more of your theme. One small change that would make it better in my opinion is using fan art poster for the background. Just make it very very blurry or lower it's opacity.

I am very glad that we have someone who took on a challenge of creating a theme. I am would be glad to help you with images or research if you need to. What is your work flow plan. Do you want to split it into few part. Like the emulator selection screen. Then we can discuss it and make adjustments. Then the game menu screen etc. Also, is there a way for you to post an image of the original XBOX UI so we know which part of it you are trying to imitate. Thank you. Good Job.

For this particular project I hope to interest someone to create an xbox one inspired UI. But overall modern to me and it is a very subjective opinion is a trend that websites follow. If you remember websites in 2000's were really cluttered with flash and animation. Later web 2.0 came around with big bubble buttons and reflective surfaces. In 2010 's there was a trend for a grundgy messy look. And now I feel like most cool websites want to have full screen images with very few elements and a minimalistic look.

You know guys I just did a little googling and I got some interesting results. There is not one single major front end out there with a modern interface like xbox one. Everything is based on wheels or some sort of a coverflow or a list. One could think that people who like retro emulation are against all modern. lol. Of course it is not true but still not one front end had a modern ui.

I don't mind helping however I can. I am good with illustrator and photoshop. It will have to be some type of a grid view.

Has anyone considered contributing and creating an xbox one theme. I think it would be possible to come pretty close to it. Someone was offering a bounty for a console like them but then the topic was shut down. We already have a bigflix theme that looks rather similar. I think with some minor tweaks it can be modified to look and feel like the xbox one dashboard. I tried changing XAML myself but my knowledge is rather limited so I sort of gave up. But I wonder of there is anyone else like me who would like to see beautiful large images and a clean modern theme on the bigbox.

I just wanted to post an image with a very minorly modified theme. Though I think it improves the readability of it on the big screen if you are sitting away from it. How do you enable icons at the bottom of the screen with the favorites etc. Like in my original post.

Thank you once again for your help. I am learning xaml slowly. Now I am wondering which file or property is responsible for the boxart border when it is highlighted and when it is not. Here is my screenshot.

Wow thanks for such an exact answer. What is the best free editor for xaml files. Notepad works but Dreamweaver does not. Happy holidays.

Thank you for your reply I have attached a screen shot and posted in the support for the Switch theme. there are just so many xaml files that is hard to tell which one refers to which view. I am sure I will learns soon with a bit of research and trial and error.

Hi, everyone! I am new to bigbox themes though I do have experience coding for websites. Here is my question: How do I change the font color and size for where it says the Legend of Zelda. (see below). I am using the same view as in the picture. There are so many xaml files that I don't know which one I need to edit and what is the name of the property that I need to change. Yeah it came free with my x arcade. Isn't it what retroarch is attempting to be a front end for all emulators. I never used it but that is what it looks like to me.

I agree with you but I think there maybe a workaround. I used to run Maximus arcade. I know I know it is old. But it ran all emulators within itself sort of like a sandbox so it had the ability to exit games easily and it had control over any opened window bc it was a parent to it. Again it is beyond my coding skills.

Could custom themes be edited? I know the word custom in it. But I tried opening xaml files and I don't see any font or color properties in them. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

It would still be nice to have a dialog before exiting the game like consoles do. Oh well maybe one day front ends will be more console like. Also I have done some research and it is very difficult do create such a script with autohotkey to be universal for all games and emulators. Someone smarter than me has to do it.

Hi. thank you for your theme. this is my default theme. If I want to customize it i.e. change font size and color is it possible for me to do that? I kept looking through xml file but did not find a property for it. Any help is appreciated.
