I'm very new to LB. Been using Hyperspin forever and this MAME High Score feature made me dust off the cobwebs and play some classic games. Thanks for this feature.

Every time I try LB downloads the video themes and artwork using the full name. How do I make it using the MAME rom names? I just want to transfer my media from HS to here without having to d/l everything again. When I try placing my existing media in LB it does not recognize the rom name.

Thanks. Grabbed it from the FTP. Had to change the name but all good. Actually I have a question about how LB uses names. HS would use the rom name for videos and themes but here it uses the full name. Is there s way to have LB use the rom names for videos and themes. Sorry little off topic. Thanks

Does this clone have its own theme? I know there is one from HS but can't locate it here. Thanks

Oh yes I lost many due form failed HD. That's why I have so many drives backing stuff up. After looking looks like its been around 15+ years doing this on and off.

Thanks. That's what I meant. On the other hand lots of these games from Japan like Famicom that also has USA games might have different sounds or graphics and harder game play. I was just curious. Just trying to wrap my head around this from coming from HS. Seems like HS is dead in the water and has not been worked on for a while. I will keep my setup just planning for the future.

Been collecting for over 10 years form rom sites that are no longer with us. A moment of silence......................But a few have popped up that are hidden.

One more thing. I have a complete set of Nintendo NES. When I mean a complete set I am using the DB from HS. It has 886 different games. USA games first then other region games that were not released in USA. Why don't all my games show up when I add them to Launchbox?

OK is there a thread to show me how to do this. Now I have my NES and Famicom roms all in the Nintendo set. M NES set was 833 now it's 1107. Thanks

Just curious why it's done this way and that they don't have their own platform?

Been slowly moving from Hyperspin and importing my roms to Launchbox but noticed some systems are not in LB. Examples are NEC PCEngine, PC Engine CD, Nintendo Super Famicom Platforms.

OK I'm sorry for the noob question. I'm really having a hard time figuring this system out coming from Hyperspin. I have a merged rom set for MAME .220. I would like to import my clones so they show up in LB and BB. When I scroll to games the Donkey Kong the clone Pauline edition doesn't appear. I would like certain clones to have their own wheel, videos, artwork etc. How to I go about adding certain clone game? Thanks

Sure I was just practicing anyway. Only played maybe 2 games each of the scores I achieved High Scores.

Can I install launchbox outside of my C drive? I like to use my 3 8TB HDD for my roms, artwork, videos etc. Thanks

Ok noob question. I have all the artwork, videos etc. I'm a member of emumovies and have everything for my HyperSpin setup. I just purchased the license for Bigbox and I don't want to download everything again during setup. Can I point this to my current directory where I have all my files like game videos. Artwork etc? Thanks

OK I think I found out why some clone roms were missing. I had to uncheck bootleg hacks etc for them to show. Thanks

My fault the CHd games were in my database. Yes in MAME you can have your roms, CHDs anywhere you want. They don't need to be in the MAME directory. As long as you configure the MAMEini (screenshot below). Also why are my clones not showing up? I made sure they were checked when I created the database. games like donkey kong foundry etc not showing. Thanks

OK I found a problem. I was playing Alpine Ski and I barely broke 5,000 points and it gave me a score of 615,400. That is not correct. I also was going to play Armor Attack and I didn't even play the game and it gave me a high score of 38,400 in Launchbox.

Ok I'm a noob here. I have always for the most part used Hyperspin and Rlauncher. I figure I give this another try. My question is I have my roms in a different folder then MAME. I also have my CHD's in a separate folder. My MAME ini points to these folders and works no problem. When I set up lunchbox it only gives me one options to choose the directory of my roms but I need to have an option to point to two folders. How do I do this? One to MAME roms folder and another to CHD folder. Thanks

This is awesome. I fired up MAPPY, POOYAN and they all seem to work. I might have to start playing MAME again at the sweet age of 50 lol.

OK so did a quick trial in mario bros. and seems to work with adding the newest hiscore dat to MAME. It also works on MAME220 no nag. I had to remove my hisocre dat from previous scores in mario. I saved the original one.
