i did this, found on a reddit thread: disable user login: 1. Press Windows+R, type regedit and click OK; 2. Access the path below in the registry editor: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\PasswordLess\Device 1. Double-click DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion; 2. Set your value data to 0 and click OK. 3. Restart your computer. Then access netplwiz again and check if the option appears. 1. Press Windows+R, type netplwiz and click OK; 2. Uncheck the “Users must enter a username and password to use this computer” box; 3. Confirm with “Apply” and then enter the password/confirmation of the current password and click “OK”; 4. Restart the device and it will automatically log on.

I am trying to run Daphne on a new 4K tv. Windows looks great on it as does BigBox. Modern games are looking awesome. Daphne doesn't seem to like it. In order to run Daphne correctly, I had to add a utility to my daphne batch file called QRes.exe that will change the Windows 10 PC resolution via command line. I've tested setting it to 1920x1080 and back to 3480x2160, and the utility works. Adding the "downgrade" works well to play Daphne games. Once it exits, the resolution stays at the 1920x1080. I tried a number of things, including additional apps on exit with batch files of the command. I've done it on the emulator and game level. No changes are happening, as if the app isn't being triggered at all. I can trigger the app to work correctly in Launchbox by rightlicking and running it there. So I'm thinking there's something going on with "exit." Any thoughts?

So just to follow up. this was uber simple. i had to disable user logins but otherwise u flip this switch, set a pin, and disable show exit when locked, so basically the only exit option is SHUTDOWN. from pushing power to startup video is 19 seconds.

So you disabled the bigbox as shell new option, used kodi4launcher but instead of launching xbmc/kodi, you can use bb? can you then hit the power button and it properly shuts stuff down? im looking for something where i hit power button and it boots into bb, then hit power and it exits bb and shuts down cleanly. is this doable?

daphne games don’t seem to respond very well to pause or this theme either.

both this theme and the FS version does not display Arcade.jpg nor the games by LB ID but display for all other platforms and titles. Any thoughts on what i could be doing wrong?

Retro: thanks on the graphics. it was a setting. On the Game Controls, I’m at a loss. I have Nintendo working using the LBID. Arcade is not working. My platform is Arcade and Arcade Classics. I put the images by LBID in the Arcade folder as in the images i attached here, but nothing shows—including the platform file that came with the theme. Any thoughts?

It's been a while since i installed. I'd prefer portable mode to make it so i can transfer around easier if my PC goes down. any quick way to tell if i were in portable mode? any suggestions for migrating from regular install to portable mode without having to undo all my work? thanks!

ok. i'll send you my list when i get back. a suggestion is to link in this: https://gitlab.com/SchwingSK/Keyboard2Xinput This utility has been a game changer for me. no more screwing with x360ce and joy2key or ipac toggling. i have my ipac set as keyboard only, then i enable/disable this utility with an AHK script in launchbox. it maps all of my controller buttons to the same exact virtual joystick for all steam games, but you can create game-specific ones too!

so i installed this theme and used a 1920x1080 image of my controller, but it seems the resolution is changing when i pause the game. 1080p in game 1368x760 (i think) when it is in pause. so, one problem is that my tv then shows the resolution change on screen when i pause. second is that the image is scaled, meaning uneven black boxes. any thoughts on how to fix this?

i'm having a problem with this and was looking for some help what "platform" do we use for this? I have an ARCADE platform that uses MAME. I also have a MORTAL KOMBAT "platform" that uses ARCADE/MAME. Where should I put the images for Mortal Kombat? is it Images\Game Controls\Arcade\Mortal Kombat.jpg or Images\Game Controls\Mortal Kombat\Mortal Kombat.jpg?

I've been adding my steam games via steam://rungameid etc etc and they launch fine, but i'm finding they're not loading the additional apps of an autohotkey script that's set up to run before and after launch. Is there something I must do to make it work?

I found this tribute edition of my little pony where it's like streetfighter but w/my little pony. my daughters love it, so i want to put it into bigbox. the problem is that the game in still has the windows menu bars on the top. if you do full screen, it's kind of a hot mess. anyone have any ideas on how i could get this to display full screen without the menu in launched from big box? I'm not going to post links but a quick google of my little pony tribute edition shows the dl links. thanks!

there’s a version of it that has a bezel and settings. you simply drag the exe into launchbox, pick windows as the platform. tweak it as retro said. it works well!

I'm wondering if anyone has gotten this yet? It works great but every time it prompts me to set the clock, even though the time is good to go. wondering if there's a way for me to fix that permanently or stop that check? Thanks!

pause theme area is pretty inactive. i wanted to post it here for visibility with theme makers.

Here's what I'd like to have, please tell me if this is 1. even possible 2. done already or 3. if you'd like to help me get it done (I'll pay!): Pause theme would be a graphic for each game that would have the instructions for controls. I will create the graphics for each game this would apply for. I just want to be able to drop in a file into a folder and it work magically... Attached is my current mockup, which matches the design of my controller. Thanks!

i thought we were discussing in the context of Launchbox. I'm sure a video would work well, but as I pointed out, most videos are 2 seconds of actual help and 9 minutes of fluff.
