  1. System specs and versions: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor 3.80 Ghz Radeon RX 5500 XT RAM: 24GB Windows 10 LaunchBox/BigBox 13.6 ~15,000 games Currently running on an HDD, but planning on moving everything to a single SSD if that's the culprit It takes around 3 minutes for LaunchBox and BigBox to start and everything has become pretty sluggish within the UI once it does load. I've verified that backup software and antivirus isn't running aggressively. Attached is my log of a startup and shutdown of BigBox. Eventually the start logo begins and then stops. Black screen again for a long time. Then eventually the UI loads, tough the wheels only do so partially. I have run the cached jobs so I'm surprised by the latter. This used to start up and be ready to go in under 30 seconds and that was under a much weaker CPU on the same PC. Does anything obvious look off? Thanks! Debug 2023-09-06 07-47-50 AM.log
  2. Hmmm...weird. I just took the leap and wiped out my arcade platform and re-imported with all of the "skips" enabled and "Import Originals Only " enabled. It still is pulling in junk like this: Is that correct?
  3. Ah that could be. I originally imported these the classic import ROMs way and then yesterday re-imported using the mame set approach. These could be leftover from the prior. Maybe I can look for the import date to distinguish one from the other. I'm hesitant to blow everything away as I think also imported some stuff previously that doesn't use MAME, but instead uses dedicated arcade system emulators (supermodel, etc). But maybe not. I will eye that. Thanks!
  4. I have a bunch of Games Missing Media that I am trying to clean up. As I'm going through some of these, I'm realizing that many of the games are in the GamesDB, but for whatever reason, they weren't populated with metadata. Given this, I had hoped to use "Tools->Download Metadata and Media" to clean up many of these in bulk, but it doesn't seem to find a match. That said, when I go to edit the games directly, "Search for MetaData" does find a result. This forces me to go through all of these one-by-one when I expect you provided the bulk method intentionally. Here's an example of the results using "Tools->Download Metadata and Media": And here's an example of editing it via "Game->Edit->Search for MetaData", which works: Any idea why the results are different? There is only one result found in the GamesDB, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't be selected. Thanks! Leo
  5. Here's a weird one that has popped up recently. I'm not sure exactly what changed to cause the problem. LEDBlinky version didn't originally change, but I have kept RetroArch and LaunchBox up to date. The behavior: Expected: I launch any retroarch game from launchbox. Normally as the startup screen appears, LEDBlinky kicks in, changes my LED buttons to reflect the buttons for the game and announces each button: "A Button: Jump", etc. Actual: I launch any retroarch game from launchbox. The LEDs do not change and no button mappings are announced. When I quite retroarch THEN the LEDs/buttons kick in. I am also working with @arzoo on the LEDBlinky side of things, but I was wondering if anyone else came across this and figured out a solution. Here's my log info. This time I did Launchbox -> Retroarch (Genesis). The LEDBlinky log after game start is: It stops there. LEDBlinky seems to recognize that the game has started, it sees "Speed LED Data", but then pauses at "Speak Button A". From a user perspective no button announcement or blinking occurs. I then hit Escape to exit retroarch and this is the log that is added: I then hear "Button A", "Button B", etc. I'm not sure what that " [06/23/2021 13:15:26] Received Event - Queue:[1] Msg:[4]." statement is, but it seems like the event is not getting to LEDBlinky until I quit. So only when I quit do I get an explanation of the controls, which obviously isn't very useful. This worked fine months ago, so either I've screwed up a setting or Launchbox/Retroarch has changed something in their latest build that might be causing problems for LEDBlinky. I've now upgraded all three to their latest versions in case of an incompatibility, but that didn't fix the problem. Any other ideas? Thanks!
  6. Is there any way to bulk-move playlists to a new parent category or do I have to right-click and edit each one individually? I'm trying to clean up and categorize the dozens of MAME playlists that are generated. Thanks!

  9. I was never able to get this to work. Let us know if you figure it out!
  10. Are the videos intentionally rotated 90 degrees? Seems a little different than what was done here: Grateful regardless!
  11. I am also trying to get AAE to work. I'm finding that even when using rocketlauncher, whenever I exist AAE my entire windows 10 machine loses resolution and color and gets stuck like that. Have to reboot. Anyone get past this?
  12. This is great!! The Platform Images share seems to be empty now though. Is that correct?
  13. Thanks so much for this submission! Where is the XML file? I don't see it in the downloads of this post. Thanks!
  14. Thanks for your help! I'll keep plugging away
  15. When you imported it, it looks like you used a custom platform, "American Laser Games", like I did. I then used "Arcade" as "Scrape as". Did you use the same?
  16. I was able to import ALG games using this method, however I seem to have 2 problems. lbh (Last Bounty Hunter) imports, but there doesn't seem to be any art associated with it. Other people also seeing this? I get an error whenever I try to import MadDog, though MadDog2 works fine: I'm using the same approach to import maddog as everything else, so I'm not sure why I'm receiving this error. Any ideas?
