  1. There are way more storefronts out there than most of us realize. We've done the big ones recently, and we'll get to the smaller ones, but as for right now, it's not exactly a priority. Videos will work pretty much exactly like images with priorities and categories. Yes, this too. This is a known issue, and has never really been solved by any frontend, ever (not even Rocket Launcher). Unfortunately it's not possible to magically just make it work for all Windows games, because every Windows game is so different from every other Windows game. What we have currently is pretty much the best you can do without custom programming for each and every Windows game ever made.
  2. Thanks, this should be fixed now. Please enable debug logs in the LaunchBox options (see the first post of this thread). Then you can look in the log file to see what's happening.
  3. The first 11.0 beta is out now here:
  4. Hey all, the first 11.0 beta is out now with the following: New Feature: The Clean Up Media process has a new option to scan images for rough matches. This new option can make the clean up media process take an extremely long time, but will save you loads of disk space in your collection, especially if you download media both from the LaunchBox Games Database and from EmuMovies. The process identifies duplicate images in your collection even if they are different sizes, faded, etc. The largest duplicate image is kept, and the rest are listed for deletion. Improvement: GOG game install state changes will now auto-update for games installed via the GOG Galaxy client Fixed: When using All Games as your startup view in Big Box, sometimes the alphanumeric index was not populating correctly Fixed: Corrected an issue with the pause key bindings that may be causing them to fail Fixed: The Play Mode filter in LaunchBox was not working properly when multiple play modes were selected In addition to the above, we have the following in the works for the 11.0 release: Automatic recording of video snaps via hotkeys Automatic screenshot capturing Multiple video support Overhaul of the Add/Edit interface Much of the above is already finished or nearly finished, but as they're all tied together, it will be a bit before a beta comes out with the bottom four. The Add/Edit overhaul is taking a bit more time than we expected.
  5. The first 10.16 beta will most likely be out this week. It's just that we've been working on some big features that take more development time than usual.
  6. We send out the link to the poll in an email. So unless you've unsubscribed to the monthly email newsletters, you should see it.
  7. @damyx To do this, all you have to do is use the Platform Categories view. You can customize the view hierarchy in LaunchBox (you don't have to use the default platform categories).
  8. I have plans to re-theme the games database website (actually I have something in the works). No promises or timelines, but it's coming.
  9. You can currently filter your games by star rating (and create a playlist for it if desired), but unfortunately you can't sort your games by star rating in Big Box currently. We added sort by options to the last community poll, but surprisingly they weren't highly voted on, so we haven't focused on adding them yet.
  10. You're probably onto something with controllers, though I don't know what. Controllers are parsed when you open the Options screen. We read both DirectInput and XInput controllers from the system. Can you check Device Manager to see what drivers are installed and active? All I can figure is that maybe there's some sort of a faulty driver left around, but it's hard to say.
  11. I've done some more testing myself here as well, and unfortunately I still can't reproduce any issues. I tested with your data, and yes, it really didn't make any difference, most likely because this issue is somehow media-related. I've also tested my own collection with my own media, going through hundreds of games with the game details and screenshots enabled and I have yet to see the RAM ever go over 2 gigs. I'm not sure what's going on really, but I guess there must be something different between your machine and my testing machines that somehow causes the problem. I'm grasping at straws here, but per your screenshot it looks like maybe you've customized the look of Windows 10 a bit (looking at the Start button)? I really have no idea what could be causing it, but I'd try removing any customizations and closing any background apps to see if that makes any difference.
  12. Unfortunately no. It's a long list, admittedly.
  13. No, scores will only show up if you achieve a *new* personal high score. The only way to get around that would be to remove all existing MAME high scores before starting up a game, and that's not really a good option.
  14. You're not on any ban list. Check your debug log?
  15. I'm not an expert on PS4 controllers (I use Xbone controllers myself), but are you using DS4Windows? If not, that may be what you need. It's a free download I believe.
  16. Thanks for this clue. We were running around all over the place with this issue and never could figure out what was causing it, but I finally have it fixed for the next beta now.
  17. There was a similar item on the latest community poll, but unfortunately it did not get many votes (was basically just an option to reverse the sort order). Noted though.
  18. There is nothing wrong with a plugin developer getting paid with a bounty to develop a plugin; I see no issues in that, but we won't be involved in the process. Nothing wrong with posting on the forums here about it though. That said, we don't take bounties ourselves because we just prefer to work on things that more people want rather than one-off requests.
  19. The best option right now is to add a platform called Applications or similar. Then you can add "games" for other apps.
  20. Yes, we never did add a full jukebox as part of LaunchBox. There's game-specific music, but no full jukebox functionality. Music Box Alpha might be more of what you're looking for, but right now it does not have a Big Box-type interface.
  21. Interesting. Can you zip up and PM your data folder? That way I can confirm what's happening.
  22. Yeah, when multi-disc games are imported, two or more additional apps are created. One for each disc.
  23. Well that's interesting to know at least. Is it a unique issue when you hold down the left mouse button? Does it still happen if you just click on items instead? That's not a typical way to use the app so I can't say I've ever tested for memory issues doing that. I've done a small bit of testing and haven't replicated it, but we might still be onto something there. If that's not it, it may be data-related. If you can zip up or send me your data, I can try testing with it.
  24. Wow, good to know. What anti-virus program were you using? Just so we can look out for it in the future. The multiple discs badge will show up if you have more than one additional app on the game with the Disc property set.
