  1. I have plans to re-theme the games database website (actually I have something in the works). No promises or timelines, but it's coming.
  2. You can currently filter your games by star rating (and create a playlist for it if desired), but unfortunately you can't sort your games by star rating in Big Box currently. We added sort by options to the last community poll, but surprisingly they weren't highly voted on, so we haven't focused on adding them yet.
  3. You're probably onto something with controllers, though I don't know what. Controllers are parsed when you open the Options screen. We read both DirectInput and XInput controllers from the system. Can you check Device Manager to see what drivers are installed and active? All I can figure is that maybe there's some sort of a faulty driver left around, but it's hard to say.
  4. I've done some more testing myself here as well, and unfortunately I still can't reproduce any issues. I tested with your data, and yes, it really didn't make any difference, most likely because this issue is somehow media-related. I've also tested my own collection with my own media, going through hundreds of games with the game details and screenshots enabled and I have yet to see the RAM ever go over 2 gigs. I'm not sure what's going on really, but I guess there must be something different between your machine and my testing machines that somehow causes the problem. I'm grasping at straws here, but per your screenshot it looks like maybe you've customized the look of Windows 10 a bit (looking at the Start button)? I really have no idea what could be causing it, but I'd try removing any customizations and closing any background apps to see if that makes any difference.
  5. Unfortunately no. It's a long list, admittedly.
  6. No, scores will only show up if you achieve a *new* personal high score. The only way to get around that would be to remove all existing MAME high scores before starting up a game, and that's not really a good option.
  7. You're not on any ban list. Check your debug log?
  8. I'm not an expert on PS4 controllers (I use Xbone controllers myself), but are you using DS4Windows? If not, that may be what you need. It's a free download I believe.
  9. Thanks for this clue. We were running around all over the place with this issue and never could figure out what was causing it, but I finally have it fixed for the next beta now.
  10. There was a similar item on the latest community poll, but unfortunately it did not get many votes (was basically just an option to reverse the sort order). Noted though.
  11. There is nothing wrong with a plugin developer getting paid with a bounty to develop a plugin; I see no issues in that, but we won't be involved in the process. Nothing wrong with posting on the forums here about it though. That said, we don't take bounties ourselves because we just prefer to work on things that more people want rather than one-off requests.
  12. The best option right now is to add a platform called Applications or similar. Then you can add "games" for other apps.
  13. Yes, we never did add a full jukebox as part of LaunchBox. There's game-specific music, but no full jukebox functionality. Music Box Alpha might be more of what you're looking for, but right now it does not have a Big Box-type interface.
  14. Interesting. Can you zip up and PM your data folder? That way I can confirm what's happening.
  15. Yeah, when multi-disc games are imported, two or more additional apps are created. One for each disc.
  16. Well that's interesting to know at least. Is it a unique issue when you hold down the left mouse button? Does it still happen if you just click on items instead? That's not a typical way to use the app so I can't say I've ever tested for memory issues doing that. I've done a small bit of testing and haven't replicated it, but we might still be onto something there. If that's not it, it may be data-related. If you can zip up or send me your data, I can try testing with it.
  17. Good to know, thanks.
  18. Wow, good to know. What anti-virus program were you using? Just so we can look out for it in the future. The multiple discs badge will show up if you have more than one additional app on the game with the Disc property set.
  19. Thank you @ItchyRobot, good to hear. For anyone in this thread who's having issues with performance, RAM, or crashes, keep in mind that issues like those are almost always caused by some kind of outside influence, be it bad drivers, being out of date on updates (or even running untested bleeding edge Windows updates), or some kind of poorly written application running in the background. And of course if your system isn't stable because of over-clocking, that can be an issue as well. Unfortunately we've also seen lots of corrupt Windows, .NET Framework, or DirectX installs that can do all kinds of other crazy things and cause similar issues. So it's always worth repairing Windows, looking for driver updates, making sure you're up to date on Windows updates, closing background applications, etc.
  20. Can you explain exactly what is happening every single time (I assume you're saying that the Options screen is taking a long time to load)? Are you timing it? How long is it taking? Does it take a long time again if you close it out and re-open it? Are you seeing poor performance elsewhere in LaunchBox? Try closing everything you have running in the background, especially any anti-virus or security apps, and see if that makes any difference.
  21. By chance, are you using Windows Media Player for your video playback engine in LaunchBox? Other than that, I really have no idea why your system would be holding onto all that RAM. I've tested going through and clicking through game after and game and the RAM never goes above 2 gigs. So to figure that out, we'd have to dive in and test a bunch of things. The first thing would be to get your OS and system specs.
  22. This does look to be caused by a flaky network or Internet connection. It could have just been a temporary issue though. As far as I'm aware, we have not had any issues with the LaunchBox Games Database.
  23. @legolas119 Tools > Create Missing Arcade/MAME Playlists
  24. Are you able to reproduce this every time? Have you tried rebooting? In the past, performance issues like this have typically been caused by some other app on your system creating a conflict.
  25. Do you mean that you can't bind the home button? To be honest, we probably won't be adding support for proprietary buttons on third-party controllers that should just be adopting already-existing functionality instead of reinventing the wheel.
