  1. Unfortunately, looking at the date of MAME.xml file will not tell you anything about when the MAME metadata was last updated. We do our best to update the MAME metadata every month, shortly after new MAME releases.
  2. The issue with this is that some videos are encoded to be streamable, while others are not, and it's hard to tell. So some video producers make their videos streamable that way, while others don't. Unfortunately there isn't really a good solution to it.
  3. Mad Planets was added to the exclusion list because it doesn't have a traditional high scores system. I'm not sure why because I don't remember, but it could be because it has multiple score boards, doesn't use traditional scores, or similar. Unfortunately we'd have to majorly revamp the community high scores system to support it, so unfortunately that's probably not going to happen.
  4. Sorry for the late reply. I'm honestly puzzled on this, as I've never seen that happen on any of my machines. Does it take a long time for the video to start playing?
  5. Sorry for the delay on my responses in this thread; I've been busy trying to wrap up the 10.15 release. I went ahead and removed this score. It sounds like this issue should be fixed for the 10.15 release which just came out. This should get you started: Just removed this score as well. Please update to 10.15, as I think it should resolve these issues. If you're still seeing this with the 10.15 release, please create a ticket for GreatStone here: https://github.com/GreatStoneEx/hi2txt-xml/issues
  6. I've been doing some testing with the latest betas (and now 10.15) and the Unified Redux theme and I'm not running into any stability issues. Unfortunately this means that whatever is causing the crash is system-specific somehow. It could be data-related, but I doubt it. Most likely there's a buggy driver or something of that nature on the system. So I guess see if you can find any driver updates; sorry I can't be more help.
  7. Sorry for the delay here. I removed that score as it was an obvious glitch. I'm not sure how that game is supposed to work, but it may be one of the odd ones that adds a digit in certain situations. But yes, please create a ticket for GreatStone on Github: https://github.com/GreatStoneEx/hi2txt-xml/issues
  8. @mcfilmmakers @wallmachine I'm almost positive nothing changed recently for MAME imports. To be honest I didn't follow the full conversation, but let's take it to a different thread to discuss if needed.
  9. We can consider adding an option to hide the auto-run additional apps. Is that what you mean?
  10. Beta 11 is out now with the following: Fixed the additional apps issue that @CriticalCid reported Added a bunch of logging to the LaunchBox save/close/exit process to help with debugging app not closing issues Translation updates Fixed issue with some Steam poster and clear logo images not downloading during batch imports and updates
  11. That finishing up process is normal. It just takes a while. It's not frozen there. I don't know what's going on with the startup though. But the log files show errors of "The given path's format is not supported." which means that somehow it's finding invalid file paths. I suppose it's possible that one of your drives isn't showing up until after the boot process, but that would be weird.
  12. Do you have any mapped network drives? Is any of your collection over the network? How long did you wait for the finishing up process to finish?
  13. @Cauptain Thanks Claudio. We can't seem to get this fixed though, unfortunately, since we switched it to use WPF. We'll keep it on the list for now.
  14. Yes, there are inaccurate ways to do it like that, but we wouldn't be updating the badges until each game was selected, so it would be a mess.
  15. This has come up from a lot of people, but unfortunately the current RetroAchievements.org API doesn't really allow us to do this, because we can't run batch downloads/updates.
  16. Just tested this and didn't have any issues downloading that particular file. Most likely it was just an Internet hiccup. We've added a bunch of debug logging for the shutdown/saving process to help with this for the next beta. Make sure you have debug logging enabled so you can help us out with the log file if it happens again after the next beta.
  17. Thanks Cid, @C-Beats has the additional apps issue fixed for the next beta. Per the Epic Games issue though, we can't seem to reproduce. However, Epic Games has been having major issues lately with their servers due to GTA being free; maybe that has something to do with it? Might be worth trying again to see if it was a server issue that got fixed.
  18. That all makes sense. Thanks for sleuthing that out.
  19. Thanks guys; I have all translations updated for the next beta. I planned to release today, but I heard about a number of potential issues over the weekend that should be fixed before we release. Hopefully we can release tomorrow.
  20. Hi Claudio, can you screenshot me what you're seeing? Thanks!
  21. Ah, the good news there is that we can probably just pay a few bucks to use that image.
  22. Thank you all very much. Love that graphic @Cauptain! Where did you get the background image? Is it safe for us to use?
  23. It's that time again guys; I hope everyone is safe and not dying of loneliness. I'm planning on putting out the 10.15 release on Monday. @Opak @cyanjiang @Bardock @MajKSA @gamehacker @Cauptain @Kondorito @Nyny77 @alexposad @k_kutsugi @dukeemu
  24. Thanks @Corkscrew; sorry for the delay on this. I still need to put a translation package together. I can do that next week. Thanks Claudio; I have this translation in for beta 10.
  25. Unfortunately though, in doing that, you may be hitting some limits as to what LaunchBox or your machine can handle. If I had to guess, you're running into significant performance issues due to the number of platforms and such. On top of that, I'm guessing that every time you've killed the process, it was in the middle of saving things and taking forever due to the large number of platforms, so you may have corrupted your data somewhere in there as well. So it's a bit of a mess. I will take some time to look into the data further to see if I can figure anything out, but unfortunately I can't promise that I'll get anywhere.
