Beta 5 is out now with the rest of the theme manager implemented. Pretty much everything should be there and working properly, including assigning particular views to particular platforms and playlists. The new theme submission web pages are done as well, sans for integrating them with the forums login system. I'm working with IPB to get that going here soon; planning on having it ready to go some time next week, and then we can start accepting theme submissions for including in Big Box. In the mean time, I'll be going through my never-ending to-do list of "minor" things, and we'll see what I can improve on.

I've heard that this is an issue with Launch With in Big Box (on my list), but haven't heard it mentioned about LaunchBox itself for a long while. Can anyone else reproduce? There may be other additions, but I'm not entirely sure what they'll be yet. Yes, my main focus is still the poll items. There's not many left, but there are a few big ones. Yup, that's one of the big ones.

Just a matter of replacing the LaunchBox\Themes\CityHunter 2\Background.mp4 file I believe.

The plugin version has been removed because it always caused some serious stability issues, and also no longer works properly with the latest version of Big Box.

The Windows importer should do a good job with it already, so long as shortcuts for the games are available in the Start menu. Otherwise, you can just drag a batch of shortcuts over as Monkus mentioned. I do plan to add other importers eventually, but considering that's it's already fairly easy, it hasn't been a high priority.

Alright, then I'm lost on this. It especially doesn't make sense if multiple programs are causing the problem. The first thing to test would be to try running those games from the command-line, without LaunchBox. One possibility is that Cemu is just broken when running those games from the command-line, and I think that would be more likely than a conflict with LaunchBox or Big Box. What do you mean by this exactly? What problems exactly are caused by those programs? Or do you only have the Cemu issue if LaunchBox AND the above three programs are running?

I'll add this to my list to come back to at some point, but unfortunately I can't make it a priority for the time being.

To be honest, I'm not very familiar with that hardware, and also not really all that familiar with how well emulators run on AMD hardware. I'm sorry @luger81, but I'm not really going to be much help here.

All I can figure is that maybe it has to do with the startup screens. Does this stuff happen if you disable the startup screens?

What emulator is it?

@int3 I *think* I know why. In order to use the IBigBoxThemeElementPlugin interface, you have to implement it from a WPF/XAML control, and then use that control in a custom theme. That was the point of that type of plugin when it was built. If you're looking to do it without a custom theme, you would need to use one of the other interfaces, such as the ISystemEventsPlugin, as you've done. Is there a reason why that won't work?

By the way, the controller lag issues made sense and I was able to fix them, but I'm completely lost on any other bugs with the themes manager, such as images not loading, etc. Do keep in mind that images will only show up for themes that are available and have been approved on the server; if "Latest Version Available" is listed as "Unknown", then the theme hasn't been uploaded yet and nothing will show up for it. You'll be able to uninstall it or apply it, but that's about it. If it's taking forever to load up the themes manager, it's probably some sort of a connectivity issue.

@alexposad I never notified you (sorry for that), but the Russian translation is available (I put it into a previous beta). Let me know how it goes for testing.

@Swiddzy If you're experiencing issues with starting and stopping games, most likely it's related to the startup screens. The first thing to try is disabling the startup screens. Let me know if that fixes it for you, and if you provide me with details on what emulator you're using, I can troubleshoot it further. As far as I am aware, all issues related to this that have come up in the past have been resolved. If you know of another topic where it has not, please link me and I'll follow up.

Beta 3 is out now with a hopeful fix for the issue with the theme details not loading, as well as the following: List of installed themes with updates available List of recently updated themes List of newly available themes Support for startup themes Unfortunately, most of the above additions aren't very useful currently because of how few themes we have up there at this point. I haven't added any startup themes yet, so there's nothing available to download, though you can still manage your installed themes. My next objective is to finish the theme uploader web forms so that we can get the theme lists decently populated.

Yeah, I can see this being useful if you like to change your main theme often. It's certainly tricky due to the whole "different themes for each platform" thing. Really all we need is an easy way to back up and save settings, which would be a more generic solution that would help out in a number of other ways as well. That could even be done by a plugin I think, but I'll put that on the list for the next poll.

Make sure you have the latest versions of both of those themes. Have you updated them since the 9.5 release?

Looks to be being caused by the Ao.Bigbox plugin. What theme are you using?

Yeah, a second one might help.

@Beetlejuice29 Unfortunately I cannot give you permission to include any ROMs (of course we don't have the rights to them), nor any media (as we don't really own any of those either), but yes, you can certainly include the free version of LaunchBox on any cabs that you sell.

The option is in the new Themes Manager. I have not changed the stuff that was there before. There's a "Set as Main Theme" option in the themes manager.
