  1. What are you building exactly? I might be able to help with a better solution if I know what the purpose is.
  2. Unfortunately I don't think this is possible at current. You can always create an additional app and set it to auto-run before launching the game, but I don't believe it supports the command line parameters that you're looking for. If you're building an app that interfaces with emulators, why not just use the app as the emulator in LaunchBox and then have your app fire off the emulator EXE?

  6. Maybe make sure auto play music is enabled in the View menu? Does other music play?
  7. I've confirmed that .sid files are playing just fine in .Next. Even before my latest changes, they were playing. Can you look into it to ensure that the game is showing a .sid file in the Music path field in the Edit dialog? VLC plays the music in LaunchBox, .Next, and Big Box.

  9. @Solo187 I went ahead and added .sid into the background music scanner and such, so now those formats should be automatically picked up in the next beta. Not sure what issue you were running into, but it should at least be more clear now.
  10. Hi @Solo187, I just got around to looking into the .sid music thing, but it seems to be working fine for me. Can you explain in more detail what issue you're seeing?
  11. Yes, most likely the confusion is just coming from the image cache. Keep in mind that if you manually add or remove images, you have to refresh the cache for that game before the changes are necessarily reflected.
  12. Alright, I think I might have an idea as to what's going on. Thanks for all the feedback and the discovery work. I do think it's mostly a result of hardware slowness/delays (which is why I'm not seeing it on my main machines), but ultimately I think it's being caused by invoking the game controller code to the main application thread, which I don't do for the keyboard, so that explains that. It's not necessarily going to be an easy fix, because removing those invokes will likely cause some errors until I figure them all out and resolve them all, but at least I now know what's going on and I can work on getting it resolved. Thanks all.
  13. Also, just to confirm, I assume everyone is at least on the latest official release? 8.3?
  14. Just out of curiosity, what themes and views are you guys using when you're experiencing the lag? I have to be missing something here. Also, by chance, is anyone able to record a video of it lagging? Just so I can see exactly what's happening. So far we've ruled out driver versions, and hardware doesn't seem to be the issue (though having only 8GB of RAM can cause some serious lag, depending on the theme and the view).
  15. I just tested this in both OG LaunchBox and .Next and Steam videos downloaded fine for both. Are you seeing it on imports or using Download Metadata and Media?

  17. I'm not quite sure what you mean; I ran it through a translator and unfortunately it didn't make sense. Can you rephrase?

The only thing that could be happening here is if both USA and Japanese artwork is downloaded and available, LaunchBox may be switching between them if the region on the artwork isn't set properly, etc. LaunchBox does not ever download any new metadata or images without the user knowing about it. That's an impossible situation.
  20. Ah, that certainly could be the difference. Mine are connected up via the official MS wireless adapters. That said, I believe people were still seeing the issue with wired controllers, so that can't be the whole picture. I'll try to do some testing with BlueTooth though. I might need to pick up an adapter.
  21. Can you explain what's broken and where? Yes, the spacing options are still on the list to be implemented.
  22. Yeah, I'm aware of the usability issues of the control. I plan to make the mouse control easier to use, as well as add some accessibility options. Visually, the control will stay the same, but I plan to improve the usability of it.

  24. Cid is taking a much-needed break from theme development for the moment. There wouldn't be much sense in making Unified exactly like Unified Redux, since they're both available anyways. What features/changes did you want? I assume it's because you want to cherry-pick from the changes?
