  1. Hi @Abobo, I think the best option is to start narrowing it down. Try temporarily disabling your anti-virus to see if that makes any difference. Then try disconnecting your controllers to see if that helps, etc. Only try one thing at a time so that it can be narrowed down. There's no reason for me to believe that duplicate mode would be causing a problem, but as drivers vary it might be worth temporarily disabling that as well to see if that might be causing an issue. If you can help me narrow down the issue, then it will be much easier for me to solve it. Thanks!
  2. I'm actually still seeing this occasionally too. It's pretty rare but I do see it happen on all of my systems from time to time. I've also confirmed that it has nothing to do with the image, because the same image will sometimes show a line and other times not.
  3. Hi @anyany, I actually just fixed this in the 6.2 official release. :)
  4. wallmachine My apologies; I really was not referencing you in the above discussion, though I think some of the community might have interpreted it that way, so I apologize for that. I clarified up above that I wasn't referring to you after I sort of had an "oh crap" moment and realized that some people were interpreting it that way. So I do apologize for that. I will admit that I did get frustrated simply because I don't have any alternative solutions. And other than the Windows 7 thing, nothing really makes sense. At some point I do have to move on unfortunately in order to keep things productive. I really wish I had an alternate solution for you though.
  5. Hi @thedoughboy15, what @SentaiBrad said. Let me know if you would like a refund, no problem. :)
  6. I don't either yet, actually. I'm gonna play with it later this evening to see what I can figure out. Let me know what you guys get going. :)
  7. Good news, everyone! Bleasby just posted a beta version of his new Rocket Launcher plugin for LaunchBox here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1a414r06qlymh1x/LaunchBox.plugin?dl=0 This is early so go easy on it. :)
  8. Complaints are one thing; unnecessary and excessive negativity is another, especially when a solution has been provided but is being ignored. I would like to mention though that this discussion actually did *not* stem from any particular recent events in this thread, so don't get me wrong there. But let's move on if we can and stop hijacking the beta testing thread (my fault just as much as anyone else's). :P
  9. Hi @dylstew; I fixed this earlier this morning about 4 or 5 hours ago. Sorry for the trouble; I will be looking into this so it doesn't happen again. :)
  10. Hi @cataclysm67, what version of LaunchBox are you running? This sounds like an issue that people were running into before recent versions where games were not deleted when deleting platforms, and then ended up in your All list without any associated platforms.
  11. Awesome, thanks for the purchase. Did you follow the MAME tutorial?
  12. Don't think I really need to step in too much here but I would hope that everyone here has good intentions and isn't out to create drama or alienate any particular people or products. We have had occasional issues in the past where people will diss on another product (whether it's a competitor or not), and that definitely isn't the kind of environment we want to create here. So I think that's what @Bedwyr was trying to say. We've also on very rare occurrences run into people who seem to have a negative outlook on everything in the world (sometimes LaunchBox, sometimes Hyperspin, sometimes people on the forum, and sometimes everything else), and in that case we have to be careful to quickly stop it before it starts grow and spread. I don't like rules and I don't like enforcing them, nor do I like encroaching on other people. So with that, everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate, and everyone is vital to community, including any and all perspectives. As problems arise we will take care of them, but we don't need to mandate what is or is not appropriate discussion for these forums, outside of eliminating excessive amounts of negativity.
  13. Zeromod said Jason Carr in regards to the video playing in the background, was there a specific emulator that was being used? I noticed that videos were playing in the background for Project64 and ended up removing my video snaps for the time being. However, I never reported that as it looks to be a result of how P64 opens to full screen mode and not a bug in launchbox/bigbox. Very good point! I didn't even think about that so I will confirm what the actual issue is for anyone who reports it. Thank you for clarifying that @Zeromod. :)
  14. Welcome @rmilyard; it should indeed be very easy to get going. Things are intuitive and automatic as much as possible.
  15. To clarify (sorry was running away so I had to respond fast), the GPU has the most significant affect on the performance, followed by the CPU. SSDs can help load times and such, but I have no doubt that the integrated graphics are the biggest issue in that situation (unless of course you're running a CPU that's ancient or something).
  16. Hi Noodles, I have tested this pretty extensively and the video card does have a major effect on the performance for Big Box animations. So yes, integrated graphics are probably at least part of the problem. :)
  17. Hey all, I have gotten one report that VLC video playback in Big Box is still playing in the background occasionally. If anyone is still seeing this in 6.2 and has any insight into when it happens or what might cause it, it'd be great to get your feedback. Thanks guys. :)
  18. Lololololol. Thanks guys. Glad things are running smoothly at long last. :)
  19. Hehehehehe. Also, just put out version 6.2 (yes, another rushed update) to fix a number of bugs. See the change log in the app after upgrading for more details. :) And of course, let me know if anybody has any issues with 6.2! :)
  20. Agreed @kmoney2315. :) Folks we're actually 100% maxing out a 100 mbps ethernet port right now. That is the cause of the slowness. Pretty incredible really if you think about it. I will be upgrading this to a gigabit ethernet port soon which will bring the speed back up, assuming this amount of traffic continues. I will have to schedule some short down time to upgrade the hardware, but I'll let everyone know.
  21. Thanks guys. I have this fixed for 6.2, which I should be putting out shortly. I've fixed a bunch of bugs in the last few hours that I think merit yet another release lol. ;)
  22. There are jerks everywhere, that's for sure. We're just good at weeding them out and sending them packing. :P
  23. No worries @Zeromod and sorry if I was harsh myself in my response. Just been getting TONS of feedback since the release (which is GREAT) so I'm rushing out responses. Glad to have you here, and I'm in agreement that there is such thing as too much flash. ;)
