  1. Thank you very much @AFaustini. @dukeemu, my apologies on that. I can get that to you today. :)
  2. Thanks everybody. I appreciate that, @Riffman81. I don't really desire to make Big Box look like Hyperspin, but always have enjoyed the Hyperspin wheels. That said, I hate how Hyperspin constantly goes back and forth between the wheel and the fullscreen themes. To me it's way too "in-your-face" and jumpy. But again, that's just one opinion. @wallmachine All I can say is that's not typical performance. Sorry if I've asked before, but what are your system specs? @CriticalCid Thanks for the reminder on those issues. I can tackle those today. :) @ALIE, we already have a thread for sharing images I believe, but hit up @SentaiBrad and he can sticky a new one if we need one.
  3. wallmachine, not as of yet.
  4. Yup, I'm very happy with our current setup. :)
  5. FYI all, the black bars should be removed for VLC in Big Box in the latest betas.
  6. Yup, and I'm fine with that. I'm making a decent living at it and loving doing it, so I can't go wrong with that. I'm not out to get rich, just out to make a living doing what I love. :)
  7. Thank you @Wattoo. :)
  8. Lol, @wallmachine, are you for real? No, the entire program does not come from open source. If that was the case I would've been just sitting on my hands for the last two years. In reality very little of the code has come from open source; the vast majority has been written from scratch. That said, if a library is already available with a license that is okay to use (like MIT), I'm definitely going to go ahead and use it instead of reinventing the wheel and wasting everyone's time.
  9. Great to hear, @Riffman81. I really appreciate the kind words and support. It's been a few months now that I've been on LaunchBox full time, and I'm still loving every minute of it. :)
  10. Awesome, thank you @Riffman81. Didn't know you were part of the team. :)
  11. wallmachine, I'm confused. There's still 433 open tickets on the Bitbucket. I fixed and closed quite a few but nowhere near anything that significant.
  12. Ha, no question, if everyone who downloaded the free version of LaunchBox purchased the premium version I'd be pretty rich (and could definitely afford to hire some people). Sales are very good but it's still a very small percentage of people who choose to purchase.
  13. Yes, unfortunately it's because EmuMovies is down.
  14. Ha, yeah my hope is that pirates who are stuck on 5.7 will eventually give in and pay for the upgrade. ;)
  15. Perfect, thanks @CADScott. Was hoping someone had some experience doing that. Glad it's all working well.
  16. Ah, I see. So it's a file permissions issue in your case. Okay, thanks @djweevil. You may run into issues while using LaunchBox or Big Box if your LaunchBox folder for some reason requires administrator privileges. Hard to tell for sure though.
  17. Sorry I think we've changed the approach since then. Now you just have to go check the box in Tools > Options > General > Updates in LaunchBox to Update to Beta Releases. Then you can just restart and you should be prompted to update.
  18. Also, here are the release notes to be translated. Thank you very much guys. :) Here are the biggest changes for this release: Several new views for Big Box including CoverFlow and logo wheels like Hyperspin Big Box now allows you to quickly jump between letters of the alphabet Big Box can now be locked down to read-only mode with a pin LaunchBox and Big Box sorting mechanisms now ignore leading articles
  19. Bedwyr, thanks. It's jasondavidcarr@gmail.com. @DOS76, the platform clear logos folders probably shouldn't have multiples in them, no. Were there mismatched images in the folders? That does sound like you found and resolved the problem. Still strange that there would be multiples in there. @ALIE, as I commented on YouTube, I didn't expect anyone to miss that view. We can discuss it though; I still have all the code for it in the project, but the image caching for it was glitchy and I didn't like the view at all so I just got rid of it and replaced it with the CoverFlow with details view. What is it about the previous view that you like more than the new CoverFlow with Details view? Thanks!
  20. Alright, new beta is out; gonna call this the first release candidate for the 6.0 official. To be honest I can't even remember everything I touched today, but here the important parts: - Fixed a bunch of bugs from Bitbucket tickets in both LaunchBox and Big Box - Fixed (hopefully) the issues with small images in the wheels. Please refresh all images in Big Box to test. - Added backgrounds to the fullscreen coverflow view, like we added to the one with details - Probably five other things I'm forgetting ;) Thanks all. :)
  21. Hi @djweevil, thanks for the report. Pretty sure this is happening because of over-zealous anti-virus software, which is deleting the files during install. Try adding both the installer and the LaunchBox folder to the exclusions list of your anti-virus. We've had quite a few problems recently with crappy anti-virus programs mistaking LaunchBox for a virus.
  22. nyny77, is it just specific images or everything? Can you screenshot me? @DOS76, your favorited games will show up first in the wheel if that setting is enabled. Is that what's going on? @CriticalCid, apologies for removing the notes; I just didn't like the look of it because there was just too much stuff on the screen. We'll definitely add some further configuration options for those views but I'm hoping to push out 6.0 sooner rather than later so it might not make it into the 6.0 release. Thanks for the note on switching views for the platforms. I will see if I can add the fade for the full screen CoverFlow view. :)
  23. It's bugfix day everybody! I'm still working on things of course but wanted to get a new beta out to address the two errors from @bundangdon and @kmoney2315. Both of those errors should hopefully be fixed now. If you get to this early, might be 3 minutes or so before the new beta goes live.
  24. CliveBarker @Wattoo @AFaustini @cyanjiang Now is the time to get the translations ready for the 6.0 release. I will be fixing bugs yet but won't be adding any new features and shouldn't be changing any text to translate. The translation packages are ready. As always, thank you guys so much. Hoping to put out the official 6.0 release in a couple days if possible. :)
  25. Hi @m3TTwUrsT, unfortunately I'm not aware of a program to use for OS X. Primarily because this is the .NET solution for translations, I'd be surprised if one existed, sadly. I did a quick search and there are .resx editors available for OS X, but I haven't found anything that will work well for translating.
