  1. sammyboy1414 said How do I use a emulator thats not on the list of emulators? I want to run my gba ands games but I dont wanna use stupid retroarch?! How to use VBA or NO$GBA HELP SOMEONE! D: VBA does not need any command line information. Just add the emulator, name it, add the exe path, and set it as the default emulator. If you already have all of the games in LB then select the first game then press the shft key and end key at the same time to select all, right click, edit. The baulk edit wizard will display, select next, then select emulator, and select the newly made VBA, follow the prompts and you should be good. If you need this in a deeper step-by-step let us know.
  2. mcclurem said I get my trailers from Youtube, and use keepvid.com to download them. Thank you, I think quite a few in the community will make use of this. Also a great source for video previews is emumovies.com They have an extensive collection. For free they only allow you to download the videos at 240p and limit you to 500MB daily, but a small membership fee gives you access to all movies at 480p, unlimited downloads, and access to their FTP server. They also have 2D and 3D box art, fan art, manuals, controller overlays, and many others. Enjoy all.
  3. A blast from the past "Duke Nukem"
  4. Strange thing, yesterday I was adding some new arcade games and it automatically placed '88 Games and 005 before "A". I have never had it do that on it's own before.
  5. bd000 said Also Jason, that entire thing was my fault. I just want to clear that up. We all were, it's just we are so appreciative of LB that we all want to do what we can. The thought that Jason can do all the coding alone is amazing to me...and slightly mad, lol. We love ya though!
  6. Jason Carr said Wish I could have jumped in on this conversation earlier. I haven't even read all the way through yet. I don't want to sound conceited or mean, but I am currently the only spokesperson for the direction of LaunchBox. I'm not good enough at communicating the state of things clearly or quickly enough for anyone else to have a good enough perspective there. Local scrapers are *still planned*. As a matter of fact, I keep re-evaluating how we're storing data, and keep trying to come up with a solution to this issue. It hasn't made it into LaunchBox as of yet because I feel like I haven't come up with a good solution that works for all types of games and/or platforms. Performance is also still an issue for ridiculously big libraries when saving, so the end solution needs to solve that problem as well. Jason, no worries. You were on vacation, if you never step back to relax, take a break, and enjoy your family and life....then you will miss it all. So never feel guilty when you go on vacation, just do it! huh....I sound like an 80's Nike commercail
  7. Maybe I should have made a topic for each set....or next time. I didn't think that this post could wreak havoc on some computers or mobile devices with loading all the youtube previews. Thought it would be nice to have on here, they need help too, and it's a little SEO for your site as well. As of now, on google, if you search "the video game years" SEO for google has already picked it up and has placed your site page 2 #8. Google's getting quicker, a few years ago it took 2 weeks.
  8. bd000 said I could create a script for play time using the additional apps feature. Might not be 100% accurate, but a ball park figure is better than none at all, right? Like you, I always have LB terminated when loading a game, so this whole playtime feature would be useless for me anyway. I would incorporate it into my launch scripts if I really wanted it. To be honest, I'm not that fussed, but I'm happy to help ps4 and anyone else who wants this. Thanks, bd000. You are a trooper, if I can help in anyway please let me know. I'm not sure about others but system RAM is not an issue for me. LB open uses about 2 - 3.2% of my overall RAM and with everything and running say NBA 2K15 I just top over 50% at times and that's usually with Firefox open in the BG with a few windows and Vuze. Not sure how I can help but if you have something you think I could handle let me know, I am 14hr ahead of the west coast.
  9. SentaiBrad said No, its totally a valid rant. my 4TB drive has almost 400GB missing. It's like 370GB short. It is annoying. Makes you feel like you're not getting all of what you paid for as it was marketed as 4TB, not 3.63TB. :P I get it. Well apparently it's based on decimal, well that's strange when did computers communicate other than in 1 or 0, well even the new super cooled quantum computer communicates in 1 or 0....but it can have a 1 and 0 in the same place....but it's still binary....I think, lol. Ok enough filling this post with so much off topic stuff I guess....I should start one up in the Monkeys maybe 5AM here so going to bed
  10. Funny that they use that to sell HDDs so 1TB=1,000,000,000,000 bytes but your OS reads it as 1,000,168,484,864 bytes=931GB. But Ram is figured as 1GB = 1,024,000,000 bytes and your OS reads the 1,024,000,000 bytes as 1GB. Sorry it always bugged me, I remembered when I bought my first 300GB HDD and I looked on the computer after install thinking hey....where's the rest of it, lol. Before that my 20GB HDD was 20GB....sorry about the tangent.
  11. Thanks, I know it would be better but my drives are near capacity ATM too, I need to get a couple more, lol. As for the speed thing I'm a bit old school so the mbps to MB/s conversion is almost natural to me.....wait...no..I'm stuck in the past really because I am thinking MB/s but they renamed it to MiB/s a while back, stupid I think, MB= 1,000kb and MiB= 1,024kb...anyway.
  12. Well mbps and MB/sec is a big difference, lol, MB/sec I'm at 6.2 tops but normally see 3 - 4. Also I am in SE Asia so that may be a ping issue, probably a few hops....why do they not show the number of hops anymore with a ping time?? And I'm not in Japan or Korea or I would never complain of the internet speed, lol. Just tested my ping to them and getting 234ms average and 13ms ping to my ISP. I save to the default location Documents.
