  1. I would love this, I have a lot of screenshots.
  2. I am having the same issue when trying to import GOG Fallout. The game is installed and it appears on my start menu.
  3. Jason Carr said Thanks guys. I think I have the artifacts on closing issue fixed. I just hide the window before I start shutting everything down, so it appears to just magically close right away. ;) The slowness issue was extreme. I actually played with it via screen sharing and it was absurdly slow, and *everything* was slow, from opening up the menu to adding a game, everything. And this was with 0 games, on a fast machine, so there was obviously something wrong. But I couldn't identify what it was. But we're talking like 5 seconds to do the most minuscule operations. The double keypress issue supposedly only happens when LaunchBox is running. So yeah...that makes zero sense. Thanks again...should have a new beta out in a short while. This one should be feature complete for the release. I added a premium option to prefer Steam banners for box art, and allow downloading Steam banners from Add/Edit. I tested the new Beta-10, very nice. Now LaunchBox closes instantly no matter the number of games added. Also there is a screenshot of what I made today with this new beta (With a custom theme that I made, because I like red...) https://i.imgur.com/Bd31kxp.png Hippyshake: It was looking fine to me, just freezing when closing it, nothing more.
  4. I have Windows 7 Ultimate with Aero enabled and I don't suffer any graphical glitches when I close LaunchBox. It only freezes for like 1 second max. This problem increases when I have a large collection added. I have an AMD 6400K APU, and 4GB of RAM. It will not be the first time when some apps have problems with AMD hardware. Do you develop LaunchBox in an Intel-NVIDIA system Jason?
  5. Sure thing, here are the translated versions in order: Más opciones premium para fuentes de la barra lateral Nuevo Asistente de Importación de Juegos para Windows (incluyendo Origin y GOG) Nuevo Asistente de Importación de Juegos de Steam para importar juegos de Steam que no estén instalados Descargars de banners de Steam durante el proceso de importación
  6. Very nice collection. I once had to search front images to japanese games, they are not at TheGamesDB and I know your feeling man, looking for those is tedious, but at the end you get these nice results.
  7. Hello man, can you please share me your images? I am trying to get similar results but the spacing numbers are difficult to guess. Thanks in advance!
  8. Its working great man, and WOW the Steam import improved a hell lot, now it finds every game and even the GOTY and Special editions are being identified correctly, great work!
  9. Jason Carr said Forgot to post last night, but the new Steam Banner import features are live in the latest beta. They could use some testing. :) Excellent, I will test it now!
  10. SentaiBrad said CliveBarker said I am an alpha tester since the beginning, and I like it very much because the development of Galaxy is almost like LaunchBox. They really hear the community and they implement a lot of features suggested by the community. Hopefully this create a healthier market where Steam is like Goliath and Origin and GOG Galaxy are raising slowly. I don't think this is a direct competitor of LaunchBox because LaunchBox have features that GOG Galaxy probably will never implement. I've been Alpha testing but I didn't hear anything about achievements, this is new to me. So, I am getting Witcher 3 for free because I bought a GTX 970, and my friend told me it would redeem on GOG. I was mad, I am an achievement oriented person. As well I like steam cards. I don't hate steam, I love steam. If they give me achievements with GOG Galaxy though, I will be happier. My hope is that games can get updated in the future to allow for more achievements on the platform. DOSBox games most likely excluded unless they develop a competent wrapper for DOSBox and intercept specific calls... but that might be way to complicated for its potentially less return. If Galaxy turns out to be a Steam client but oriented towards the games they Publish and / or Older Games with a lot of similar features, I might be swayed to Galaxy as my 'old games platform'. I more or less already do, but lets take Space Quest for example. I got it on Steam, neither of the 6 games launch. I can gaurentee they lauch on GOG though. Wrap that together with Steam like features and I will be all over it. Right now you can get achievements in Witcher 2, most of the newer games will get achievements too. Just imagine if older games implement achievements...oh man. I also love achievements, imagine Planescape Torment with achievements and such. I hope they find a way to encourage developers to implement and update their games. Also GOG has an excellent DRM free program, where you can redeem your Steam STALKER and WITCHER games at GOG and obtain DRM free copies at no cost.

  12. Hippyshake said Back on topic, I'd like to add a request that Desura be added as well, please. I'm a bundle junkie and, for me, the potential for LaunchBox to allow me to finally see all of my collections at once is huge. Does Desura implement DRM to their games? It can be a good implementation, but I think Jason said that every game platform is kinda different and not everyone store your game IDs in your computer, I don't really know anything about this subject. So far we got Steam and that is a huge one, there is a small list of those who can be implemented but I don't know if its possible from a technical perspective, those are: -Desura -Origin client -Uplay -GOG Galaxy (its not even released yet, but since GOG is DRM-free I think it will be no problem in implementing an import feature) Oh, and Jason, you can send me those new resource files to my gmail or hotmail anytime!
  13. Yeah, if the data at steamdb.info can't be used because of licensing reasons, we as community will have to fill those entries at TheGamesDB.net, I will do this for my game collection. One positive thing about this, is that you can upload your own screenshots and art and they will be used by other members.
  14. Of course SentaiBrad, there is a specific issue with Early Access, Beta, and GOTY/Speacial editions of Steam games, all those are not being flagged correctly. Also with newer releases, some of them have this issue. Edit: Yeah, I noticed that in some cases, where a game has a name that is almost the same as another game, sometimes it takes the wrong choices, at the end of the day, I understand that the construction of the new database will need a lot of community participation, don't get me wrong, this is not a complain, I was just curious if steamdb.info can help with this cases.
  15. Thanks for implementing this Jason! I have a question: Is steamdb.info involved in any step of this new import process? I have found that like a half of my 312 Steam games imported have incorrect info, even Borderlands 2 wasn't found in the databases for some reason. https://steamdb.info/ have the most complete and accurate information about Steam games, the problem is that I can't find any information about the License that they are using. I don't know if they use Creative Commons or something like that. Of course I can contribute to TheGamesDB by uploading the correct information for each game tho, but if you are interested in data accuracy for your upcoming LaunchBox Database, that is the place.
  16. Star Citizen will be 100+GB!
  17. Jason Carr said But the possibilities go well beyond sharing metadata and images. I'm envisioning a broader social platform where people can share their collections by posting web browsable versions of them online, community ratings, and much more. Still not sure if we'll head in that direction, but it is exciting for me currently. As always, any and all thoughts are welcome. You are talking like Mark Zuckerberg man...and that scares me. JOKE! I really like this, but will this be regulated? Like what happens if a user uploads tons of 4K screenshots/artworks to your server? Or malintentioned users uploading innapropiate content? I think this is going to be a big challenge man, but I will be happy to upload and share my metadata and collections with other people!
  18. Hahaha! This is too much. Thanks Jason, I can tell from my window that my lawn is taller than me now.
  19. Hey Jason, this is awesome man, I will send you an email to recieve instructions and the files to start translating!
  20. Awesome to hear that Jason, thanks for the reply and I will look forward to it. On a side note, I am not sure about doing another thread for this but, I am a member of a lot of spanish emulation forums, the spanish emulation community is huge and I have made a thread about Launchbox to spread the word and I get a lot of messages asking me about a spanish translation of the App, are those in your to do list? If not I will be glad to help you translate it, I am a native spanish speaker and I have a lot of free time right now and I would like to contribute to this project in some way(as a free volunteer of course), anyway thanks for your attention man.
  21. Hello everyone. First of all, I am in love with this software, launchbox, at least for me, is the Scarlett Johansson of the frontends. Now moving to the subject of this topic. Is there any way to implement an importing feature that lets you import non-installed games from Steam, Origin and GOG Galaxy? I have about 350 games in those platforms, and installing all the games in order to be imported to launchbox is not a possibility for me and I am pretty sure that I am not the only one with this issue. Emulation and PC Gaming is just a passion for me but I am no programmer and I don't really know the technical implications of this request. I am not sure about this, but, does Steam and the other platforms store any useful files, like game IDs in your computer? Can these files be used to import non-installed games from your library? Like implementing a feature where launchbox scan your Steam Folder and look for files associated to your games library in order to import them. I really don't know if someone will understand this I tried to explain myself. Anyway, thanks in advance.
  22. Very nice man, I will do the same I think but with a little more space maybe.
  23. Thanks Jason i had a hard time trying to auto start psx games.
