Thank you both I have only tried ps1 games with mu3 so far but they are working fine with retroarch and mednafen only one I had a problem with and that's gta London wont work in retroarch but will in mednafan stand alone. don't think retroarch like the long file names in the bin/cue but I just use mednafan for that game thanks again for explaining it

Zombeaver said One other thing of note from testing is that it appears that Mednafen's multi-disc m3u function works, sortof... the game launched normally via m3u file and I was able to "open the tray" via F8, switch to disc 2 via F6, and close the tray with F8. The game (Enemy Zero) continued, but the graphics seemed to be all screwed up afterwards... I'm not sure if that's something still being worked on or if it's a problem with my files. I'm inclined to think the former because when I just start the emulator with Disc 2 in the first place, it looks fine. Seems like the functionality is there, it just doesn't quite work just yet. This is my updated testing list. Working: Albert Odyssey Assault Suit Leynos 2 Blast Wind Bulk Slash Burning Rangers Corpse Killer: Graveyard Edition Crime Wave Dark Savior Digital Pinball: Necronomicon Daytona USA - Championship Edition Dragon Force Enemy Zero Fighters Megamix Final Fight Revenge Funky Head Boxers Funky Head Boxers Plus Gale Racer Ghen War Golden Axe: The Duel Guardian Heroes Gungriffon Herc's Adventures Hyper Duel Konami Antiques: MSX Collection Last Bronx The Legend of Oasis Metal Black Mobile Suit Gundam: The Blue Destiny Mr. Bones Night Striker S Nights Into Dreams Panzer Dragoon Panzer Dragoon II: Zwei Panzer Dragoon Saga Radiant Silvergun Robotica Scorcher Scud: The Disposable Assassin Shining Force 3: Scenario 1 Shining Force 3: Scenario 2 Shining Force 3: Scenario 3 Shining The Holy Ark Shining Wisdom Spiritual Assassin Taroumaru Steam-Heart's Three Dirty Dwarves Won't Launch/no error message (pretty sure all of these just need new rips): Elan Doree Gungriffon II Sengoku Blade Tempest 2000 Thunder Force V Crashing: Astal - launches and runs but after a bit audio hangs and the game locks up Clockwork Knight 2 - runtime error (PAL region; need a NA rip) Digital Pinball: Last Gladiators - runtime error (PAL region; need a NA rip) Virtua Fighter - launches and runs but once a match starts the characters and stage disappear about 1 second later I am new to this can I ask do a make a text doc say Panzer Dragoon Saga.m3u put each disk name in the doc put the file in the same dir as the disk imgs then add the m3u file to launchbox?

A perfect Commodore Amiga WinUAELoader.exe aviable!
orac31 replied to aRcAdEsTaTiOn's topic in Emulation
Locutus74 said Ok. To quote an ancient Greek. EUREKA. Using just WinUAE, WHDLoad and WinUAE Loader i now have my WHD files loading (although some appear to run a little fast). BEST OF ALL..... I can save on all games. I have tried on a few but especially the best game in the world the AWESOME Dungeon Master. To be honest saving is completed via a almost unknown part of WinUAE and a bit of a cheat, But it works. At the moment it is 10:15 pm here in the UK and I've been at work all day. As such i will try to post a complete guide, with screenshots, sometime in the next few days. I will give it a try when you post it and see what its like compared to fsuae I went to fsuae because they where running to fast in winuae -
I think lb is contained in itself that's why its portable as long as none of the emulators are in the system you should be ok

lordmonkus said Something just posted over on /r/emulation. "it currently doesn't support pal games, but that'll get added in other releases" Well that explains some of the limitations for now, can't have everything in the initial release now can we. Sorry to ask is there a command line to streach the screen? I am very impressed with this and only the first build?
-
shadowfire36 said are you sure the problem is not the emulators ?? I use ssf only if the game is not capable in running yabuse , my tv resolution is a lot larger than the 1200x800 for SSF full-screen mode so i run it in a 2550x1440 window in SSF to make it run correctly . have you try building without RL and just the emulators themselves.? Hi its not just the emulator ssf but all emulators and can use lb without rl was just trying it out.
-
Thank you tried magic knight rayearth and baseball both work well can I get it to open full screen?
-
I just downloaded it is it command line? as the exe does not run never used it before?
-
Thank you it must be somethink my end how do I get a troubleshooting log please?
-
Well I don't think its the res switching as retroarch is 1080p it just seems like bigbox snaps in and out again.
-
I will have a go after tea but it was doing it for Atari 2600 using retro arch so I don't think its the mount feature. it is strange as it does not do it every time. I am thinking the same as you I don't know if ssf will work the same res as my desktop will have a look thank you

Hi this is a test build just trying it out I recorded for tem mins trying to get it to do it for all three systems(which it was doing a lot last night) no luck but when I stopped recording it did it a few times which I caught with the last 5min shodowplay rec. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEZQeNKuNvY

Aug 2nd Win 10 build 1067 update safe? [Anniversary update]
orac31 replied to MazJohn [Mr Arcade]'s topic in Troubleshooting
yep just updated and it broke retroarch joystick detection with xbone one controller so has to be auto configured for each system(hope retroarch fixes this soon but its not there fault) mame and controller automation work fine for me -
sorry I can`t help but its a big pain on how windows assigns controller ids I have hunted high and low on google and a lot of people have the problem. Just wish there was a way of making a controller stick to same id.

Mute64 said Ah yes, i have watched that video... and it helps for the people who a migrating there allready setup Rocketlauncher from another Frontend to move it to LaunchBox.... but im look for how to setup Rocketlauncher for the 1st time... it does seam very overwhelming with soooo many tabs of settings.I just do not have the time to read thru tutorials and was hoping there was a good video that would show you how to setup, add emulators, bezzels and all that good stuff. Austin did say he will be working on a video like this.. but i was hoping there maybe something allready out there... i gues i better wait for his tutorial and so it right the 1st time. Hi if you look threw Simply austins videos on hyperspin setups it shows you how to set them up in rocket launcher. I am in two minds about using rocket launcher for launchbox as most of my needs are catered for maybe if I want to run two front ends or for some problematic systems

thanks I may just save up the extra

I've Conquered MESS - MESS Default Command Line Compendium!
orac31 replied to SentaiBrad's topic in Emulation
lordmonkus said So here it is after 4am and of course I have to tinker with stuff and like last night around this same time I decided let's have another go around with Mess (my arch nemesis of emulators). This is an emulator I so desperately want to love but for one reason or another it just doesn't seem to want to be the emulator for me. Progress has been made however, small but progress none the less. Last nights goal was to get the Atari 5200 working since this is a system that really has no great options. Sure there are some serviceable options such as Kat5200 but it's still rather meh with it's funky UI, the way you kick out of game and the way it forces all my background windows to my second monitor. Well my goal of getting the 5200 emulated with Mess was a success and even better I was able to transfer over my HLSL settings from Mame and they actually look really good with the 5200 games. I can safely say now that Mess is my new Atari 5200 emulator of choice. Tonight's adventure took me to the Sega Saturn, another system where the choices of emulator are all far from perfect with SSF being the best but with the major drawback of mounting disk images or having actual game disks to put into your cd drive. There was some success in that I was able to get it working and loaded up Darius Gaiden (my go to testing game). Game looked great with my HLSL settings. Some very minor sound glitches but overall a very enjoyable experience. Problems did come up however when trying out Guardian Heroes which had some speed issues but playable. My next game to test was Nights which works really well in SSF but sadly is very broken using Mess. One last and final major problem is the control configuration using an Xbox 360 controller. There was no option to set up an analog stick for Nights, or at least I couldn't see any option and there is the option for it for the 5200. Also button bindings would not allow for using the L and R analog triggers for the L and R buttons of the Saturn controller. My final verdict on Saturn emulated through Mess is that while it is better over all than Yabause and Retroarch's Yabause core it is not a replacement for SSF yet. I am hopeful however since Mess / Mame is such a heavily developed emulator, we should see progress made eventually Any Idear of the command line for Atari 5200 please? -
I just changed my video playback from vlc to wmp and bigbox seems to close every time now.
-
sorry to say after a bit more testing some times big box is still active after closing and has to be shut down in task manager
-
Jason Carr said Alright, new beta is out. Believe it or not, I think I've solved the VLC playback/audio stuttering issues as well. From what I can tell, the issues were indeed caused by VLC. Let me know how this version fairs for everyone who was having those issues. Just given it a quick test only quick mind But controller automation fixed Also videos playing and stopping fine(using background videos) I have tried closing big box 5 times each time it closes fine. will let you know if I come up with any problems Thanks
