  1. Good deal. Directing an additional app to the emulator .exe itself and using the appropriate command line paramaters/rom path works fine in the interim - it definitely confused the hell out of me for a few minutes there though haha
  2. What video engine are you using? If you're on VLC have you tried switching it to WMP?
  3. Hmm, interesting. I do use nomousey and I believe @keltoigael does as well. I do use it with CCS64 as well though.
  4. How many launches did you test? It doesn't always behave the same way.
  5. An interesting tidbit that may or may not help diagnose the problem... I've been in the process of auditing my arcade platforms for the last few days and I've been converting some stuff over to RA's MAME core. Curiously, there are a handful of games that all exhibit the same unusual behavior and they're typically double/triple-screen games like Darius and Darius II. For whatever reason, these games will cause the screen to flash for a moment when booting, seemingly due to the weird resolution, and then afterwards it'll show the mouse cursor in the middle of the screen (which is weird for RA). If you boot these games in Big Box using RA MAME they exhibit the exact same sound problem as Demul; and RA is normally perfect for me. The specific games I've encountered that exhibit this behavior are: Cotton Boomerang Darius (triple screen game) Darius II (triple screen game) Die Hard Arcade GP Rider (double screen game) Outrunners (double screen game) Warrior Blade (double screen game) They work perfectly fine in say MAMEUI, but it got me thinking that maybe the Demul issue has something to do with resolution switching? It does start windowed and then go fullscreen. CCS64 does too though and it's working fine in Big Box currently.
  6. Neo Geo Pocket Color is now available.
  7. Atari 5200 is now available.
  8. I can confirm this is still happening for me as well. CCS64 was doing the same thing at one point but it was fixed a few betas back.
  9. He's not talking about a problem with Demul's sound - the problem is with background music in Big Box when you start Demul. Sometimes it doesn't stop after starting a game, sometimes it will stop when you start a game but doesn't come back after exiting the game.
  10. @Jason Carr I just figured out what's causing the problem. The problem is arising when you specify custom command line parameters in the emulation tab. This: Plus this: Does not work. However, this: Plus this (unchanged): Works just fine.
  11. Check out these posts: You should really try Mednafen or RA with Mednafen Saturn core though if you haven't. It's way better (and simpler) than any of the other Saturn emulation options.
  12. I won't be back at the house until a little after 5PM EST I'm happy to send it to you when I do get home though.
  13. No, it's not different. It's an additional app in a Sega Saturn library entry.
  14. I noticed something odd last night that I assume is unintentional. If you add an additional app and tell it to "Use Emulator" it doesn't seem to be pulling the relevant platform-specific command line parameters for that emulator. I've only experienced this with Retroarch but presumably it would affect other emulators as well. So, for example, using a Saturn game: This does not work: This, however, does work: Here's the relevant associated platform in the emulator entry (setting Retroarch as the primary emulator for a Saturn library entry works just fine):
  15. If you do decide you want to go with Montezuma's Revenge again at some point, here's an avatar I just made for the hell of it (because reasons; also boredom). Long live Panama Joe!
  16. No problem! The defaults work decently well in a lot of cases but occasionally you'll run into ones that are just way off like Rad Mobile and Discs of Tron. I find that racing games, in particular, seem to have the tendency to be problematic (overly sensitive by default). Unrelated, but but per your avatar, Montezuma's Revenge is one of my all-time favorites on the C64 It's hard as balls (like a lot of games back then) but a great game. EDIT: Noes...you changed it
  17. No, I don't have a screenshot (I'm not home at the moment either) but it's one of the main sections when you hit Tab. It's just called Analog Controls. I will warn you that adjusting them can take some getting used to. You might want to take a look at the second post in this thread (the one by Derrick Renaud) for some pointers. It can take a bit to get things dialed in where you need them - luckily you can do this while the game is running so you can tweak, hit tab to test it, hit tab to tweak it some more, etc.
  18. That's not that unusual - there's a lot of cross-pollination between genres in the electronica sphere anyway. I ended up getting into it years ago thanks to some Synth Pop bands like Chvrches and iamamiwhoami and some rabbit-hole browsing habits. That led me to Bandcamp and digging through pages and pages of Synthwave albums. NewRetroWave's channel is actually a great starting point too since they post single songs from various Synthwave artists several times a day. It's a great introduction to a lot of bands that fall into the full range of Synthwave styles, from 80's dream pop like Timecop1983 to heavy stuff like Daniel Deluxe.
  19. You can adjust those by pulling up the tab menu and going to the Analog Controls section and adjusting the various sensitivity settings. Some games definitely do require some fine-tuning.
  20. There are a couple of related subgenres like Darkwave (more Cyberpunk inspired - this is stuff like Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, Dan Terminus, etc.) and Chillwave (stuff like Tycho and Lucy In Disguise) but Synthwave is kindof the larger umbrella genre under which they all fall. Some good sources for finding this stuff are: NewRetroWave's YouTube Channel Synthwave Tag on Bandcamp WeRuleNation's Youtube Channel I've got a playlist that I put together and shared on here that I use in conjunction with the CityHunter theme that you might be interested in as well:
  21. Just go back through the thread pages Probably 80% of my posts in here are Synthwave haha
  22. Alrighty, here's a new Dreamcast logo using Phantasy Star Online. Now where's my Spread Needle +99? Normal: Scanlines: Normal - Version 2: Scanlines - Version 2:
  23. You could add in something like this at the end of your script: Escape:: Process, close,AutoHotkey.exe return
  24. YEEEEP you got that right.
  25. Interesting. I've never had a specific need for it, but I'm glad to know it works should the niche need arise
