I did get another VLC crash in LB a moment ago (appears to be the same crash). It doesn't happen every time but it's still happening every once in a while. It happens when launching games.
-
Thanks Jason! I love that we can individually select emulators for it now. That's great! Honestly I think Additional Applications is fine - different regional versions certainly isn't the only use or even necessarily the most common use for that section so I'm not sure it needs an entire rename just because of that (especially since we've been able to have additional roms in that section for some time now). It can be used for lots of things, one of which just happens to be alternate rom versions. There's also no shortage of technical help that's been offered in the past here on the forums that specifically refers to that section by name so people would be lost if they were to see that down the road. If you're absolutely opposed to keeping the name... maybe "Extras"...

Ehhh it's not the end of the world man. Maybe just take a break from it. Whenever I get frustrated by something I'm working on it's usually best to step away from it for a bit. Maybe find a new platform to mess around with - I've been having a lot of fun with Atomiswave and Naomi the last few days.

Hey, this actually did fix it for me! There's a little cutoff before it scrolls but that's way less of an annoyance for me than the performance hit.
-
I've made some new versions of the CPS-1 and CPS-2 banners that feature the system logo rather than a board as that's consistent with my non-console/handheld banners. A CPS-3 clear logo and banner is next on the agenda.
-
This is awesome dude! Great job as always!
-
The downloads section has been brought up to current with all the banners now.
-
What I'll probably end up doing is just making a shareable link to my Google Sheet that people can view. EDIT: I've updated it to a viewable sheet now.
-
Yep, me too. One of the more valuable games in my collection; an awesome game too. So it turns out that there's some kind of cell number limit for tables in download descriptions and it makes the page formatting freaking the ever-loving-HELL out if it goes over that limit. So, instead of the table I took a screencap of the table and linked it (which, of course, is limited to a width of 500 pixels so it's tiny and you have to click on it and select "full size" to actually see it well... heh heh HA HA OH HO HAAAAA !@#!&*$ ). Anyway... they're in the download section now...

Not just yet - I'm going to do a Naomi clear logo and then I'll be updating both the banner and clear logo download sections.
-
I kindof debated what I wanted to use for this so I just went ahead and made two versions. One cool thing about banners is that you can actually have multiple at once in the folder and it'll cycle between them randomly when you move to the platform in Big Box.

I'll give it a shot although the current version of CityHunter worked fine as-is in the latest stable release of LB.

Welp, the Wii one was done and then I realized after watching the render that whatever genius put the footage together decided that they'd leave a big fat mouse cursor right in the middle of the Smash Bros gameplay... rendering a new one now. One of the clips had the wrong aspect ratio/overscan too - I noticed that the first time before the first render and cut it out but I didn't notice the cursor in the other clip. Really poor quality control on that intro...

Emulating the Commodore 64 - LaunchBox Tutorials
Zombeaver replied to gizmo's topic in Troubleshooting
T64s work okay for me. The vast majority of my games are D64, with some G64s and a small number of T64s, but all three work with CCS64. If a game isn't working when started through Launchbox I would advise taking a look at your filename for it - I've had an issue with a few filenames when launched through LB - ones that use commas, apostrophes or multiple parentheses/brackets or other special characters can sometimes cause issues for C64 games directed to CCS64 via Launchbox (even if the files themselves work fine when used in CCS64 alone). -
Performance seems unchanged from beta 1. Whatever's causing the issue definitely has something to do with scrolling descriptions - if there are several in a row that don't scroll I can switch between them and it's completely smooth but if I move to one that has a scrolling description it kindof hangs for about half a second.

Thanks Jason! I'll give it a go tonight!

It's unfortunate that the video game version of Fist of the North Star doesn't feature the "force you to walk off a cliff" technique (which I can't seem to find a video of), the "force you to strangle yourself" technique, or tank punching but it's still a pretty fun game so I won't give it too much grief.

Ah, yep. Well based on that post from Circo Wii and PSP is what they're working on.

Wii and PSP is supposedly what they've been working on. There are intros for PSP (which I used in the above video) and Wii currently. http://emumovies.com/forums/topic/10920-anyone-made-a-nintendo-wii-u-system-intro/

I started adding some Atomiswave games to my library last night. There isn't a huge number of games for it but there's some pretty good stuff there, especially if you like 2D fighters. I think the logo turned out pretty shmexy Normal: Scanlines: Normal - Version 2: Scanlines - Version 2:

No, it seems to be the same. Of five launches, none worked correctly in terms of background music stopping/restarting (which is basically what I was seeing before). The control issues that I was having with Demul and CCS64 were fixed in the latest stable. The only noticeable difference between stable and the beta for me is worse scrolling performance.
