Does this work for multi-disk multi-side games? On some of the larger C64 games there are instances where you've got multiple disks and each of those disks are split between side A and side B. It's kindof a non-issue honestly, because by and large you have to start C64 games with Disk 1 Side A anyway and disk-swapping is going to be taking place in-emulator. I'm mostly just curious.

That looks normal although I don't have --fullboot on mine. Are they working outside of Launchbox, just through PCSX2 itself?

Ah, gotcha. Yeah for people starting fresh that's probably a good option. I like the idea of ScummVM in RA because I'm a shader snob but I find that setup process even more cumbersome than the already cumbersome native LB + ScummVM setup. Also, savestates don't work in RA's ScummVM which is kindof a big turn off.

At this point my stuff is all imported already. I used the below process for setting them up. That app does sound interesting though.

Where do you find these exactly? I've got about 250 games on GOG and I'm not finding these in the extras for any of them. I thought it might be "Avatars" in the extras but those are just jpgs. I don't have Alan Wake on GOG or I'd look for that one. I did find this which has some interesting stuff: http://www.iconarchive.com/category/game-icons.by-date.1.html

There's no reason to delete it - the information is correct. My post wasn't "Hey why did you post this?" it was in response to your own opening statement that "There's probably a similar post somewhere." There is. You didn't find it though, so this thread provides another opportunity for someone else to find the information they need if they were to do a similar search.

That post was with 1.3.6.

Yep, I mentioned this a while back here: It actually doesn't have to be any one specific file (like sky.dsk) - it can be any file in the folder so long as the folder is named properly. I found this process to be more time consuming than simply importing/adding them like normal with standalone ScummVM though haha.

Technically you should be able to add an extension to them since the FS-UAE UUID emulator entry uses the "use filename only without extension" checkbox. Barring some kind of additional external tool though you'd have to do it one at a time. There's probably some kind of batch tool that could do that but I'm not sure what it would be. Unfortunately I can't really provide any sort of technical support in relation to RocketLauncher as I don't use it at all. In theory though, since the emulator entry for FS-UAE UUID is already setup to ignore file extensions I would think it would still work.

I effing love Vogel. I've been waiting for him to release another album for years after the absolutely stellar debut Hologram. Only two new tracks on IMPERIVM (what a tease!) but I think the next full album is supposed to be out this year. If this doesn't get your head bobbing I think there might be something wrong with you.

I've got several different controllers that I switch between depending on what I need for the situation. The one I get the most use out of as a sort of general purpose controller is a regular old wireless 360 controller. I prefer the layout and feel over a PS4 controller. It's certainly true that the 360's d-pad is garbage, you'll get no argument from me on that. I've wanted to try out a Xbox One controller as I've heard the d-pad is significantly better, but honestly if I'm playing a game where I need something other than the 360's joystick I'm going to be using a different controller. Mayflash F300: I use this for arcade and fighting games. It works great, feels really good/responsive, and is super easy to setup because it can be set to Xinput mode which makes it function just like a 360 controller; if you setup an emulator's controls with a 360 controller it's completely interchangeable with this - just plug it in and go. It's also very reasonably priced for an arcade stick ($60). For most 8 to 16-bit era consoles I'll use either the 360 controller or my USB SNES controller. Retro-Link SNES Controller: This is a relatively recent purchase for me but I'm very happy with it. It feels just like an original SNES controller and the d-pad is great. For more niche things (primarily 8-bit home computers like C64) I use a Mayflash Genesis (which shares the same control port format as a C64 and Atari 2600) to USB adapter. Mayflash Genesis to USB Adapter: This turns the joystick into a generic HID input device in Windows. In my case I'm using it with a Suncom Tac-2 joystick. You should be able to use this with any controller that uses that port though, and it allows you to connect two at once which is pretty nice. I also have a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro for Elite: Dangerous and other space sims but that's probably not gonna help too much for retro gaming There are a lot of options out there! I guess if I were to just recommend one controller it'd probably be a 360 controller (or I suppose an Xbox One controller since the price is basically the same, though I haven't used one). I've heard nothing but good things about the Elite controller but the price is kindof insane, to the point that it's a non-starter for me. Probably 75% of my usage is with a 360 controller and everything else is split between the other stuff.

King of Fighters is my favorite fighting game series of all time. While XII was a bit of a misstep, XIII was a complete return to form. It doesn't have Whip, which is kindof unfortunate but it's still got a really good roster - much better than XII's. I highly recommend it if you're a fan of 2D fighters.

Slowly but surely I've been adding some Taito Type X games into my library. Much like Atomiswave and Naomi, it's not a massive library but there's some really good stuff if you're into fighting games and shmups (which I am). Normal: Scanlines: Normal - Version 2: Scanlines - Version 2:

Have you watched my tutorial video? The games will be imported with the proper titles if you follow it.
-
That makes sense given the context of the recent focus on multi-region. In my head this was for something else entirely haha. While I don't use multiple regions per game in my own library, I'm glad people will have these tools at their disposal for making that process easier.
-
OHHHHHH okay. I get it now. So that if you have multiple regions you can say "If I don't specifically pick a different version, this is what you should launch."
