- Filtra qualsiasi gioco nella lista di Big Box con qualsiasi combinazione di campi desiderata - Anche in Big Box trovi ora le categorie per piattaforma Sorry for my delay but I was away for the weekend and I saw all the news just today. Tonight I'll work on new Italian translation package. Still sorry for my delay...

Good question! I posted it myself when I was ordering it but playing with trackball, I found no problem because the hand (right or left is the same) is far from trackball when manuvering. The real distance is more than 2 inches (about 5 cm), so no probem at all! Probably it gets a problem is the game becomes very fast and furious!

Thank you very much! Wood and a layer in plexiglass (front and upside) with 2 player joysticks and 6 buttons. My request for customization were: 1 trackball and 1 spinner, 2 flippers buttons on the sides and, most of all, one of the joystick on the right with button configuration on the left (see player 2 in the photo on the right), because I used to play with joystick in the right hand. So I found this guy, just an hour from my home, that builds beautiful arcade joysticks and cabinets and much more (visit his site www.artigiancab.it) that, without problems, accepted my requests and build it in a record time of 10 work days. His offer is very good for prices and selection of materials and design, so I recommend him without problems.

Thank you for your suggestion but, with personalizations in mind, I went straight for a custom-made arcade joystick. This is the ONE I finally bought!

Jason, I hope this will be in time too! Language-it-IT.zip

Hi MajKSA, for obtaining files, Jason have to prepare them first for you. When he's ready, you'll always find the files most updated in the first post of this thread. So we'll wait for our Jason to get back at you. Cheers!

Quote: And that's how I implemented it so fast. It doesn't work! Amazing, isn't it? Amazing! If you need someone to help you writing some not-working code, give me a call: I can write not-working code like a charm! Just dropped by to say I love your work and I hope to import my MAME set soon in LB! Thank you!

Just my 2 cents here. Let me say some (I think) important things: first of all, LaunchBox is a frontend for software emulation (and similar programs) with PLAYING in mind, and Collectorz Games is a software to CATALOGUE your games, so these 2 programs are made to obtain completely different objectives. The only thing they have in common (and both of them are almost at the beginning of this thing) is using a centralized database maintained personally from inside the "companies" to help users to trace all the informations they may need for their games. But CG is using a cloud system and offering it for money (CG could be purchased as Desktop Software, Mobile App or WebBased version) so their database is not for free, while LB uses DB for help users to find metadata for the frontend (almost free in this case). Both are spending money and I don't see how they can be interested in permitting the other to access their informations. For the sake of users I can understand, probably if users are on both softwares perhaps, but could it be possible? I see only two ways: some homemade work to translate CG .gmc files to LB .xml files or Jason going to Holland and buy Collectorz.com!

Le versioni ROM multiple per gioco sono ora supportate! Big Box ricorda l'ultima visualizzazione usata per ciascuna piattaforma Le priorità regionali sono ora disponibili anche per gli utenti free Note: "In addition to premium users" is not translated because in talian is impossible to translate it without changing every word in the sentence to give it a proper sense and a good sound too. So, if it's possible, I translated as "Region priorities are now available for free users too". Hope it's ok, otherwise, I can translate precisely but we will have a longer sentence.

Updated to 7.7-beta-6, now unable to change features in BigBox

A FAQ? A big manual on the site? Just to look for a fast answer for frequently recursing question. And I think SentaiBrad will do an awesome job on a little PDF other than videos? Just my 2 cents... -
Hi everyone! I'm looking for an arcade joystick, for 2 players, but I need some personalization so I'm looking for someone who can build one. I'm not into this kind of work, so if you know someone or some internet sites who build them on a project done by the customer, I'll be very thankful.

I'll follow this thread myself too. I'm thinking about a TV with a 90 degrees swiveling and so, I'm very interested. -
LaunchBox for MS-DOS Special Edition 1.0 Discussion

Genecyst? I remember it! With menus with blood stains dropping! And great Genesis emulator too! I don't remember the authors, they were some of the best in last "century", and they came out with Callus too! Another great arcade emulator (CPS1 if I remember...). Great memories of pure innocent emulation in its early years... -
Odd idea for a multiemulator BigBox rig

When I bought my house, I decided to spend a lot of money on a Samsung LED TV: after only 3 years, it was already broken beyond any chance of repair (just to let you know, the cost of repair was equal to the cost of my new LG 58" LED TV 4k...), so I would like to remain far away as possible from Samsung. But this input lag you talk about, is it possible to understand if a TV or another have this problem before acquiring it? Or the best thing to do is checking for a Game Mode? That PC is 4 years old and only the graphic card was updated 2 years ago from an old GeForce 480. Still a very good machine, in fact I called it "old" only because I have bought a new PC 3 months ago, not because is "incapable of"! Another question comes to mind: could a TV have problems if turned 90 degrees and back too often? -
Just thinking about a strange solution for a retrogaming mancave I'm realizing right now: I have an old computer (still good for emulation) lying around. Without building an arcade cabinet, I was thinking to build only a large joystick controller for 2 players (eventually adding trackball, spinners and 2 USB gun controllers) and (this is the strange part) using a VESA staff to the wall with a large (40 inch at least) LCD/LED TV to get rotation of 90 degrees for arcade games who played in vertical monitor configuration and horizontal for other arcade games and classic consoles emulation. I know that LCD and LED TV are not the best solution, but with modern filters could be possible to achieve good video performance (brightness and/or resolution for example)? Today these 40"-42"-43" TVs are not so expensive and I know they are not computer monitors, but could be a good solution for playing emulated games? The PC is a i7-4700 overclocked to 4.5Ghz, Nvidia GeForce 780Ti 3Gb, 8Gb RAM Gskill Ripjaw, 2 SSD 256Gb OCX Vertex 3, 2 HDD WD 2 and 4 Tb, Creative SoundBlaster Xi-Fi: starting form this PC, which are the best solutions for a TVs? I hope anyone is giving me the right direction because I don't know which are the characteristics best suitable for this solution. Or is it a waste of time and money at all? Thank you in advance to all experts on this argument!

LaunchBox for MS-DOS Special Edition 1.0 Discussion
dukeemu replied to Jason Carr's topic in Features
Yeah, no problem. You can take all the time in the world! 3 days I think it will be enough (Basic on C64 is from Microsoft, so you're well acquainted with that)! And 1 more day to get the BBS up and running as requested by @Lmagnus87, because Internet on C64 is a must (at 300 or 1200 baud!) P.S. Re-using the word BAUD in 2017... incredible! -

Do you think it will be the right price? If you know how to handle the different electric voltage, maybe it's time to find it for you! And, although I don't collect home computers, here in Italy it's easy enough to find one in good or better condition. I have one C64 and one C64C modified with JiffyDOS, so next one, if you want, can be yours! P.S. I don't collect home computers and I say that I have 2 C64: it seems strange but I collect only consoles but some computers from my childhood is not collectiong, it's nostalgic! Soon you'll enjoy my collection in a private exposition, so stay tuned! -
Just my opinion here, but I don't understand why you call it Nintendo Switch... It seems that the real name is Nvidia Switch: after failing with Shield, they "bought" Nintendo to produce a new console with Nvidia hardware and Nintendo software. Clearly Nintendo, after doing some "unthinkable" mobile apps with their most important IP, is going a little like Sega after Dreamcast: less hardware, more software. Probably I'm going too far but think about it for a moment...

I agree. But wonderful! Now, seriously, I want a Commodore 64 version. I'll pay anything you want if you'll create Launchbox for C64! I want it! NOW! -
Italian package updated! AuditForm.it-IT.resx was still missing so I duplicated yours, renamed it and translated again (it is almost completely new anyway so no problem). Bye! Language-it-IT.zip
