  1. Deco Cassette was an arcade system. It was an alternative to the actual Data East machines in that they let arcades switch the games in the cabinet, but they are the exact same game as the Data East game (Burgertime, Bump n Jump, etc), so they are a duplicate that most people would want filtered.
  2. Deco cassette games are part of the MAME romset for sure. I still don't know what you mean. I was asking if they were supposed to be filtered (see previous discussion of MAME imports in this thread). Most people would want these to be filtered as they are redundant if you have the Data East games, as they were with old Lightspeed filters.
  3. There's already been discussion about MAME imports not working in this thread. I didn't know if it's related. Feel free to move.
  4. Not sure what you mean. Also, noticed Vs. Nintendo games doesn't have a filter in the MAME importer, which would be another good filter.
  5. I'm not sure if it's supposed to, but the MAME importer is not filtering Deco Cassette games... which leads to basically duplicates in your library. Would be good if it would filter these.
  6. I would take another look at the old "lightspeed" app, which nailed the MAME importing and filtering perfectly, and see how he did it.
  7. That looks like a different issue, though.
  8. Yeah, I just checked again on the latest beta... same problem. It looks like it's prioritizing a clone over the parent?
  9. Thanks for the reply. I'm running the latest beta, but I just updated, so most likely this happened before I updated. Good call. I'll re-import my MAME set and see if it all goes smoothly. Thanks again.
  10. Discussion of possible problem with MAME importing.
  11. No... talking about categories that I did not select being downloaded. I just double-checked and it seems like it might be possible that it is downloading from emumovies, even though I'm just showing a blank, grey area on the emumovies tab... as in, no categories available.
  12. I noticed that if I use the edit > images menu to download new images, when checking only one type of image (ex. box - front) it downloads all available images anyway. Is this a bug or intended? If intended, is there a reason it is set up this way, and is there a way to get it to download just one type of image from this menu?
  13. Thanks for the reply. So, this is affecting other roms as well? That's probably something that should be looked at to be fixed for the MAME importing.
  14. I did a full MAME set import today, and as I was checking through it after it was done I noticed that the original 1978 Space Invaders parent (rom name "invaders") did not import. I did a manual import for that single file and then it imported properly. Have not checked any other individual games yet... but is this a glitch, or did I somehow filter it out during the full MAME set import? If so, what would filter it out as it is the parent rom? Thanks for the help.
  15. Is this still what you are using for arcade?
  16. Just found Lordmonkus's HLSL tutorial here: Thanks for that. These look much better. Is this still the best option?
  17. Can anyone that uses shaders in MAME point me to a nice looking scanline shader for arcade? The ones included with MAME didn't look quite right to me. Thanks for the help.

    Game Title Text

Ah yes... that's better. My button bar is usually hidden so I didn't see it. I would prefer it below the art, instead of over it, but I don't think I can get that without a custom theme, which I can't use because my paid LB subscription expired a long time ago. Thanks for the help.

    Game Title Text

That's too bad. The new theme looks better, imo, in every other aspect.

    Game Title Text

Is there a way to get the game title text back under the artwork for the game. It used to be on each game, now I have to highlight the game to see the text over the art. I looked in options, but didn't see anything. Thanks.

    Change Rom Path?

Thanks for all the replies... I got this working. Not sure what was causing my initial problems, but luckily they weren't repeating. So, it would be nice if this same feature worked with disc games. It seems like all it would need to work would be to look in subfolders and look for .cue files. Maybe that can be added at some point.

    Change Rom Path?

Yeah, I had to move all the roms to a new drive... that was already done before I started this process. I assumed that is how most people would probably go about it.

    Change Rom Path?

Probably I'm doing something wrong... but when I run that option, then the roms are removed from the platform because they are in a new location, so I had to do a re-import. So, I'm just asking if there's a better way to do it.

    Change Rom Path?

It seems like, when I use this option, it wants me to wipe the platform and re-import everything and start over. Is there a way to change the rom path and LB keep the platform as-is and just launch from the new location?

    Change Rom Path?

Was a simple method ever added to LB to change rom paths for every game in a platform... for instance if you put the roms on a different drive?
