  1. I re-downloaded the "fixed" version, but still get the can't connect to server error.
  2. I just saw your tip to rename the files to fix the uncorrectable sector 0 error... so I renamed my GH and it booted right up. Thanks again.
  3. What's the best NES core now? I've been out of the loop for a few months.
  4. I actually just sold my Guardian Heroes about a week ago and didn't think to back it up before that. Ok, cool... it may be easier just to wipe my cores folder and start over since I've been out of the loop for a while.
  5. So, even though they changed the name to "Beetle" within Retroarch, it looks like my cores are still called mednafen.xxxxx.dll Does that sound right?
  6. Thanks... I'll play around with it some more and maybe see if I can find another copy of GH.
  7. Ok, I downloaded the BIOS files and I'm running now... thanks for the help. For some reason, though, my Guardian Heroes isn't working, although I'm pretty sure it was fine on the standalone mednafen.
  8. Ah... I think I may have it... I updated the core info files and now I can see the Beetle named cores. *edit* Yeah, apparently, even though I updated the cores, it was updating the old mednafen named core... after updating the info files, it now has the new ones... If I load the Beetle core I can see the info for the core normally. *edit* ...and, apparently, the BIOS I used to use for mednafen is no longer the same as the one for Beetle. Walk away from this stuff for a few months and nothing works when you get back.
  9. I've been looking in system information. It looks like there is more info in there than there used to be... however, I don't seen anything about cores or BIOS. I moved the same BIOS that works for my standalone mednafen into the system folder of RA and still nothing.
  10. I updated my cores and I don't have anything called Beetle... it's still mednafen as far as I can tell... at least in my cores folder. I am having trouble loading discs. It goes to the Saturn disc load screen. Is the name of the BIOS supposed to be the same as the standalone Mednafen? sega_100a.bin?
  11. The core downloader is just one at a time, right?
  12. Sorry, I haven't updated RA in a while... could you remind me if there is a way to update all the cores at once to the latest (besides Stellar)?
  13. I noticed the RA website seemed to be really slow today (although I was able to get there... just had to wait), so maybe it's not even Stellar.
  14. Cool... thanks for the reply. At least I don't have to waste any more time trying to fix it.
  15. I tried Stellar today... sounds like a really good idea, but it just keeps telling me it can't reach the server when I click update. I made a firewall exception for it, but still no change. Anyone else?
  16. Does anyone know if their new installer is set up so that it doesn't overwrite your settings, etc? I always used to end up losing my settings with RA when I upgraded, if I recall correctly.
  17. It's a little silly. I'm sure almost everything posted on these forums contains, at least, a link to a link to a link to a link to a link to a link to a link to a link to some bios files somewhere in the pages. May as well delete all links... however, it's unlikely they are going to change that policy here, so you may just want to list the title of your youtube video, so people can search it, instead of listing the link. Hopefully, that would not get deleted.
  18. What version of the DVD do you have? You need this one https://www.amazon.com/Dragons-Lair-20th-Anniversary-Box/dp/B00008G7PD Sometimes you can get them on ebay. The fact that it depends on an out-of-print for years DVD is completely retarded, but that's how it works.
  19. There is rarely a notable update to the arcade side any more, so don't stress about getting all the updates.
  20. The only emulator I could get any of those type of world builder games, such as Enchanted Scepters, running in was Vmac.
  21. Can't wait to get rid of my xbox 360.
  22. I've requested this feature several times... I hope it happens. As much time as people are spending on themes, it would be nice to have a decent looking image for games with missing art.
  23. Right... I think it would make more sense if those various programs added support... it doesn't really seem like something Lightspeed was made to do, and it certainly wouldn't be light speed... but then it has grown quite a lot in the things it can do, so who knows. Seems like bloat to me, but maybe a lot of people would want it. I'm hoping for a full stable release before more is added.
  24. Hey gerazz... it wouldn't depend on Lightspeed, but on whatever is displaying your images, such as Launchbox. Lightspeed just tells Launchbox where the files are at. If that program can display zipped images then you are good to go.
