  1. Actually, I just tried updating and ran into a problem. It tells me my license has expired and asks if I want to update my license... if I say "no" that's it... no option to update without the full BigBox features. How do I do this?
  2. Thanks for the link... I was thinking more of features I might be losing by going back to the basic version instead of features that might added in the future. Everything had become focused on BigBox, so I let my license expire.
  3. Ok, thanks for the help... the roms are in their own separate folder.
  4. My license for LaunchBox expired a while back, so I have just been using it on the last version I had. However, I don't need any of the BigBox features, so I am considering upgrading for any of the bugfixes, etc... which may have occurred in that time. Are there any other major features that I would be losing? Should I just stay on the old, full version that I have?
  5. Ok... should I reinstall it to that location too so all the registry hooks, or whatever, are preserved... or moving it is all I need to do? *edit* Also... my rom files are moving as well... is there a simple way to update this so LB knows where they are?
  6. Hi guys... I need to get Launchbox and all the related media files, etc... off of my Windows drive and onto a storage drive. Was there ever a simple, standardized way developed to do this? Please let me know the best method. Thanks.
  7. Yeah, that's why I was thinking people could link to a handy reference guide instead of having to answer each question like this... but it doesn't really matter.
  8. With as many questions are posted about what to name the RA bios files (myself included) it would probably be helpful to have a list posted somewhere people could link to when there's a question.
  9. I use the Hori for snes games. You just map the buttons to the playstation marked buttons on the Hori. Works great. There's never a perfect replacement for the original controllers, but the Hori is a really nice all-in-one.
  10. Nice... favorites list. That should be handy.
  11. Did they add a built-in disc swapping funtion to the saturn core since this thread? Doesn't the mednafen psx have an auto disc swap? Has anyone tried Panzer Dragoon Saga disc swapping?
  12. I've been enjoying the beauty of mednafen saturn in Retroarch today... once you get it set up, it is really awesome. All the years I thought we would never have saturn emulation, and now to see how far it has come. Really great.
  13. Oh, ok... got it.
  14. I re-downloaded the "fixed" version, but still get the can't connect to server error.
  15. I just saw your tip to rename the files to fix the uncorrectable sector 0 error... so I renamed my GH and it booted right up. Thanks again.
  16. What's the best NES core now? I've been out of the loop for a few months.
  17. I actually just sold my Guardian Heroes about a week ago and didn't think to back it up before that. Ok, cool... it may be easier just to wipe my cores folder and start over since I've been out of the loop for a while.
  18. So, even though they changed the name to "Beetle" within Retroarch, it looks like my cores are still called mednafen.xxxxx.dll Does that sound right?
  19. Thanks... I'll play around with it some more and maybe see if I can find another copy of GH.
  20. Ok, I downloaded the BIOS files and I'm running now... thanks for the help. For some reason, though, my Guardian Heroes isn't working, although I'm pretty sure it was fine on the standalone mednafen.
  21. Ah... I think I may have it... I updated the core info files and now I can see the Beetle named cores. *edit* Yeah, apparently, even though I updated the cores, it was updating the old mednafen named core... after updating the info files, it now has the new ones... If I load the Beetle core I can see the info for the core normally. *edit* ...and, apparently, the BIOS I used to use for mednafen is no longer the same as the one for Beetle. Walk away from this stuff for a few months and nothing works when you get back.
  22. I've been looking in system information. It looks like there is more info in there than there used to be... however, I don't seen anything about cores or BIOS. I moved the same BIOS that works for my standalone mednafen into the system folder of RA and still nothing.
  23. I updated my cores and I don't have anything called Beetle... it's still mednafen as far as I can tell... at least in my cores folder. I am having trouble loading discs. It goes to the Saturn disc load screen. Is the name of the BIOS supposed to be the same as the standalone Mednafen? sega_100a.bin?
  24. The core downloader is just one at a time, right?
  25. Sorry, I haven't updated RA in a while... could you remind me if there is a way to update all the cores at once to the latest (besides Stellar)?
