As I'm getting back into emulation recently and updating my roms, I just updated my MAME roms to a .169 set (or so I thought). Now all my NeoGeo games are showing as "missing" in MAME. I'm trying to find out if there is a new NeoGeo.zip parent, as this would explain why they are all missing. Can anyone tell me if this file changed in recent versions and what I should be looking for? Thanks for the help.

If you have a ton of files that you have individually edited through gamesDB because the file names of the roms were not recognized you know that it takes some time... and if you lose or have to re-import these and they are again not recognized by gamesDB then you have to do them all over again. It can be frustrating. One solution I can think of is to have a file renamer function in LaunchBox. Meaning that after you set them up in Launchbox it could bulk rename your rom files after the naming convention of gamesDB... so that gamesDB would always recognize them.

Posts 17-21 here: https://www.launchbox-app.com/forum/emulation/daemon-tools-and-ssf-how-to-auto-mount-and-auto-unmount Would be very useful to be able to add additional apps in bulk.

That would be a good one for the feature requests. -

One other question... is there a way to bulk add the additional app as SSF to all your games? -

Thanks everyone... I finally got this working. Absolutely could not get it to work with Alcohol 120, so I finally switched to that older version of DT that someone linked to, above. Post 17 cleared up the last of the problems I was having. Thanks again... nice to be able to open SSF with a game mounted this easily. -
Oh ok... got it. Thanks.

I agree with you, I think I'm going to go back to the standalone desmume... I'm noticing little graphical glitches in the Retroarch version that aren't in the standalone as well. The only thing I miss is the start in fullscreen, but that's pretty minor. *edit* Actually, I think I'm going to try out the X432R version you mentioned if I can find the latest version.

Hi Jason... if you have need for any more testers, I would like to join in. Thanks.

Cannot save games in Retroarch Desmume. I think there is something about setting the saves from auto to manual that might fix this, but for the life of me cannot find this setting anywhere in the core options. If anyone knows the fix for this, I appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi Jason, thanks for reading and the reply... I probably won't register for bitbucket, but since I'm already registered here I like to brainstorm for ideas for new features... feel free to use them or disregard. Thanks again.

I would like to see some further customization options for details view. It would be great if it supported more of the picture types, such as a blown up version of the cover and platform pictures (kind of like big box mode). Also, would be great if cover and screenshot, or some other picture could be displayed vertically, using more of the details view side bar space. Possibly also to choose the text fields that are shown, ratings stars, etc... Also, would really like to see the "size" of the details view sidebar stickied, or remembered, each time you start Launchbox, so that you don't have to continually re-size it each time. *edit* Might also be cool if it displayed the platform picture if no game was selected.

Are there any screenshots available, or can someone post a screenshot of the "list view" in the full version? Any other screenshots of the premium features that aren't available on the website are appreciated. Thanks.

I would also like to see this option... it's one of those things that would save a lot of time if you are going through a large number of files. (a confirmation dialog would make sure you didn't accidentally delete a file) I also wouldn't mind seeing the "import rom" on the right click menu... although that's a minor issue.

I think the controllers thing is a Windows issue, but I'm not sure. I recently started a thread about looking for help with conflicting Xbox and other USB controllers. I don't know if there is a way to fix it without having to unplug and re-plug everything. As for Retroarch, I cannot post there either because they won't send me an account activation email or respond to my "contact us" emails on their website.

In both 1.2 and 1.3 Retroarch, if I set the video drivers to D3D Retroarch crashes on launch every time. I read that Retroarch may need DX9, so I installed it on my Windows 8 system, but it still crashes every time. If anyone happens to know a solution for this, please let me know. Thanks. I'm unable to post about this on the Retroarch forums because they have not sent me an account activation email, even after contacting them three times (checked junkbox). Thanks for the help.

Thanks for letting me know.

I would like, if possible, to be able to import % ratings for games from Metacritic, or some other source and view them in the game details. *edit* Also, a quick hyper-link in the game details to search google for that game title and system would be handy.

I tried this version out after reading this thread... it seemed pretty broken to me. It's interesting to see a release after so long. Wish we knew more about what was going on with the development.

Yes, thanks... these seem to be working. I'm guessing these are the ones you use if you are using the GL driver? I have tried to use the D3D driver but it always makes Retroarch crash immediately and I have to edit the .cfg back to GL driver to even get in the program again. Is this the same for everyone else?

Does anyone have problems with an Xbox or 360 controller conflicting with a Mayflash adapter or other basic USB controller being plugged in at the same time? Please let me know if you have found a solution for this (other than unplug one)... thank you. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the reply... yes, I am applying the changes each time. The presets don't seem to work (I think you mean the other files in the folder with the .cg files) and some of the shaders don't have presets... just the file.
-
Hi... I could use some help with CRT shaders in Retroarch, please... When I try to add a CRT, I am getting no effect with .cg files, and I don't even have the option to use .cgp files (they don't show up in the shader options in Retroarch. I'm wondering if there might be some common oversight that is causing this. The only one that works for me is the basic scanlines.cg, and it doesn't look very good. I want to use the CRTgeom, etc... Any help is most appreciated. Thanks.

DOS76 said Not that this is overly important but I can see a use for this Right, this would be a minor request... not intended as high priority.

SentaiBrad said Well adding games 1 by 1 does take a while regardless. There is still an un-check all button when you get to EmuMovies, and what I said above still works if you don't want to use EmuMovies at all. I understand what you said... my feature request can be found in the OP. Thanks.
