Are your themes just a video file?... i thought there were like the usual, icons, images, you know, things that one can replace.

I create the themes in After Effects and they are output into MP4. The project files and assets I don't provide (except for in the case of the Unified ScummVM videos since I don't have very many games I use it for, but I'm sure many others have lots) since no one has requested those before and you'd need to be an After Effects user to easily make quick edits if you wanted to adjust different elements more to your liking. Many of these projects I no longer have anyway as I only keep them for a while. Any that I decide to revisit in the future, I will do from scratch as I will probably want them entirely different from what currently exists.

haven't forgotten you. Just been out of pocket for a while. It was up next after these. Was holding off because the time to render it is over 30hrs, so I'm going to start the encoding tonight and hopefully it finishes sometime tomorrow :)

    @CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT good work, thanks mate.

Just wondering if you were still thinking of uploading that Wolfenstein series theme?

@CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT Hey mate, just going through your work again and still amazed! This may be a bit of a stretch but do you think you would ever be interested in a Wolfenstein playlist theme? There have been so many Wolfenstein games that I think it would deserve its own collection theme. Something as badass as your Doom theme would be just the right fit. Just thinking out loud here :)

This is a good idea! I've started work on it and hope to get something up this next week. Have a few ideas I want to play around with and see how they turn out.

Mate, are you still doing these? Don't listen to the previous poster, music fits perfectly.

I'm still doing them; just out of pocket the last few months with life happenings, but will be back to uploading more theme videos again soon! :)

Hey mate, do you have a theme for Final Fantasy X somewhere across your collections?

That is one that I had actually skipped over. I already had a video theme for it from EmuMovies and was going to come back to it at a later date (it's on my list for PS2 themes).

I can do it next though (will upload it to my PS2 themes thread), but is it cool if it's not the "typical" Yuna and Tidus sort of theme? I found some really good fan art for Auron and Bahamut that I want to use and those two get used all the time, ha!

Great videos! I will use some of them for sure.

The only bad thing about this it's renaming the videos' name to match Launchbox's names. I know it's the webpage fault that replaces spaces with underscores. Can you do something about that? Maybe upload them zipped.

    Thanks!

I can archive them first before uploading. It's definitely the page that adds those underscores to the file names and I'm not sure how to keep it from happening uploading them "loose".

    Thanks, mate! Much appreciated.

Have edited my post to remove the titles you have already covered. Patiently awaiting your upcoming themes! On average, how long does it take for one theme to be created? Genuinely curious.

Well, it definitely varies from one theme to the next, but, on average, it's about 3 - 4 hours from beginning to end.

    Thanks for the review!

There is already a theme for Metal Gear Rising in this collection (#94 in the list/download list). There is also one for Skyrim (#93) unless you want one for the non Special Edition version, which I can do. I have just over 300 games in my PC collection so I'm sure I'll have all of those covered eventually :D

I've been wanting to do a theme for Vanquish since it was released to PC, so maybe I'll do that one next.

  10. I can do that on a case by case basis, at least for playlist videos. For the game-specific videos, I'll only do the one version (primarily since I've already done a few hundred of them and going back to render them again with just the game audio would take forever).

I say case by case because several of these take hours to render out (some took over 4 hours). Most render in less than an hour, but it can still take a while and I can't do much while it's rendering since all of the CPU and about half of my RAM go to it :D. That's why I don't do 4:3 variants either; just takes too long.

If there are any playlists you would like to use, let me know the ones you like and I can render out versions of those without a soundtrack and just use the game audio in them. For future playlists, just leave a comment like this.

  11. I'm working on themes for the PS2, so I will definitely be adding themes for Final Fantasy X and X International once I get to the "Fs" for those, so keep an eye on the PS2 themes since that is where I will be putting them.

Once I get to PSP, I'll have themes for the PSP releases, as well. I also still have a few of the Gameboy ones to do: Legend 1, 2 and 3. I'll also be doing my own Mystic Quest theme once I get to making Super Nintendo themes. And XV was just announced to be coming to PC in a few months, so there's that too. Ultimately, everything will be covered. Decided to stick with just doing themes as system collections, but links to the series collections are always put in where they apply.

  12. Hrm... it might be the view in whichever theme you are using. I'm assuming you bought a LaunchBox license since that is required for any video playback to work. If you haven't, you should! :)

If you have a license, some themes have views that don't show the videos, so maybe try changing to a different view (you'll have to set a hotkey in options to either your keyboard or controller; I forget what the defaults are since I mapped it to the Options button on my PS4 controller a long while ago). You are putting the video in the right place.

You might try changing the video backend from VLC to Media Player, too, if the above doesn't help you. I would also check the other settings under video. I attached how mine are set.

If you still can't figure it out, post a thread in the forum if you haven't with some screenshots of your settings/folder paths, etc. and I'm sure someone will chime in with a solution :)
