  1. 1280x540 Console Marquees for 21:9 monitor

    When I started my cabinet build project, I couldn't really find much in the way of correctly-sized marquee images for the 21:9 LG Ultrawide monitor I used as a marquee display... so I made my own.
    These are marquee images for use for various console systems - GBA / Sega Genesis / NES / SNES / N64.

    I've also included a 'template' png file in the .zip for each of these that could be used to make your own marquees if you want, for games I don't have included here.  You can use GIMP / Photoshop / Whatever image editing software you want, and overlay the box art for your game on the template.  Here are the box image sizes for use with each template (pixel width x height:)
    NES Box art size:  219 x 300
    SNES Box art size:  360 x 257
    N64 Box art size:  360 x 263
    GBA Box art size:  320 x 320
    Genesis Box art size: 224 x 320

    I found the box art I used to make these linked over on Reddit.

    Update:
    Added .zip files for Wii and Gamecube marquees.  Wii .zip includes multiple template .png files for most of the different controller schemes used on the Wii.
    Gamecube Box art size: 226x320
    Wii Box art size: 228x320
    Gamecube and Wii cover art used to make these primarily sourced from GameTDB.

  2. Xirvet's Retrotastic Game Backgrounds Packs (Multi-consoles)

    Alright I had been working on these for a year now so this first pack is a whooping 1GB (blame my lazyness) and don't worry, other packs will come in the future and be much smaller in scale. I'll update this description later with all the games included but for now there is plenty in here, I'm sure you have some.

    Of course you'll need @faeran's amazing theme that you can find in the theme manager of Big Box or over here, you'll also find the instruction on how to set these backgrounds for yourself and don't worry, my files are organized to be an easy import

     Also in this pack, you'll find graphics with no backgrounds and that's because these are my own personnal addons to @Scratcher's already great contributions to this theme which you can find here if you don't already have them

  3. My core grafix for Game Marquees

    I don't want to spam our forum with Game Marquee banners. The community has been provided with the wonderful tool CTC. In addition, there are already so many good tips to put together your own marquee or banner or whatever.
    Here are two tools that I am currently using myself to beautify my setup.
    Marquee Generator template for Community Theme Creator 1.1
    Realistic Marquee Monitor FX 1.3
    And last but not least, my pictures with which I am currently assembling my platform marquees for download. I'm currently using it to create my game marquees like this one, not final yet, but the possibilities are there...
    Realy simple examples:

  4. Retro Console Game Logo Packs

    These are the custom logo packs I made for the Retro Console BigBox Theme. There are logos here for pretty much every console and every game that is playable in Launchbox, as long as I have it I will make it.
    To install these just download them and unzip to the following folder within the theme folder itself:
    \LaunchBox\Themes\Retro Console Light V3\Images\Games\Custom Images 1\
    If the folder does not exist then create it exactly as it is here. Within the 'Custom Images 1' folder you need to have a folder named for each platform with game logos inside it.
    You can find the theme that these were made for here: Click to get the theme

    While using the new logo packs you may find that your game list is different or you just want to make some of your own. @faeran has made a video tutorial on how to use the new Custom Image Creator to make your own logos. It is very good. If you want to make your own logo packs for any of the views in my theme, watch his video and then download the file, 'Retro Console Logo Creator.zip'. found in the downloadable files on the page this links too. All the files you need to make each one exactly are included, even for the custom platform views and the banners.
    Video: How to make your own custom logos for this theme: Click Here
    Once you get an understanding and are setup to go you can follow these instructions to make matching logo sets from your own collections for this theme:
    So once you open the logo creator file (that you got from here) in the community theme creator, you need to select the platform that you want to make logos for from the left panel at the top (3rd drop down) and then you will notice a long string of dots toward the bottom of the screen from left to right and centered just above the box that offers 2 or 3 options such as 'Theme, Platform and Game'. Use the following for each sub type of logo you want to make:  Platform Logos: Use the first dot for these and select 'Theme' from the box below. (Put these in the 'images/Platforms/Custom Images 1' folder within this theme) Game Logos: Make sure to select the correct platform from the menu(panel) on the left. Then use the second dot and choose 'Theme' from the box below the dots. (Put these in the 'images/Games/Custom Images 1' folder within this theme) Custom Platform View (game logos): Use the same instructions above but select the 6th dot and choose 'Platform from the box below the dots. (Put these in the 'images/Games/Custom Images 3' folder within this theme) Custom Banners: Use the same instructions above but select the 4th dot and choose'Platform from the box below the dots. (Put these in the 'images/Games/Custom Images 2' folder within this theme) Now you will be able to make logos for your exact set of games using all of the assets that are in the ones I made so they will match. You now just have to select the Hamburger Icon form the menu at the top of the screen and then hover over 'Render Custom Images', now select 'All Games for Selected Platform' from the menu that pops out. Once you have completed making your set you will need to go and get that whole folder of logos you just made and move them to the 'Retro Console' theme folder in the 'Custom Images 3' folder with the others. Remember, each platform logo set needs to be in a folder that exactly matches your Platform name as it appears in your LaunchBox setup.

  6. Cowboy Bebop: Setup for the episodes/Sessions to run in Bigbox

    I put this out there for my fellow Cowboy Bebop fans to have something cool, and to let people out there know, that Bigbox can handle more than just games. That being said it doesn't scrape movies or TV shows vary well. You need to basically find the images yourself and insert them manually, if you were trying to put your movies in Bigbox.  Of course, I have gone though the trouble of doing that work for all of us on this one.
    What I have done here is create a console theme if you will, for setting up your Cowboy Bebop Anime as a device in LaunchBox/BigBox, that has all the images for every single Cowboy Bebop episode/sessions, and that will appear as its own identity along side the rest of your consoles.
    The collection includes: The Cowboy Bebop Movie, all episode/session titles, fan art for the backgrounds, Art/images for the "Device" selection screen, and the clear logo for the title at the device selection screen (Bigbox will think that "Cowboy Bebop" is a video game system like the rest of your stuff) Lastly I included the Cowboy Bebop Theme song. Just in case you would like it to play in the background when you are choosing what episode/session to watch. It adds a really nice element to the whole setup.
    This updated version 1.0.2 is as easy as it gets to set up. It contains everything you need neatly packed, and comes with clear and concise instructions on a note pad file in the download.
    To get the theme song to play in the background place the song in launchbox/music/background/platforms/Cowboy Bebop
    You can also get the Cowboy Bebop theme song as your main background theme song by copying it to launchbox/music/background/platforms NOTE: place the song below the platforms folder, not inside of it. I provided a screenshot above if your confused.
    Obviously I can not give you the actual episodes/sessions as they were called, but if your reading this you probably already have them. If you don't, whats wrong with you? Do what LaunchBox/BigBox fans do best, and get yourself a good download/torrent, and dust off this award winning classic!
    Hope you all enjoy this setup, and I hope more people end up putting stuff like this out there for everyone to get even more out of BigBox.
    NOTE:
    If your not a fan of cluttering your game collection things that are not games, then I would just like to remind everyone you can have multiple LaunchBox/BigBox setups, and that they are portable. You could have one for games and another just for your media. While I am on the topic, if you get an Nvida Shield you can stream your LaunBox/BigBox setup to any TV in your house. Obviously this is great for gaming, but also makes the BigBox media setup much more viable too. An excellent tutorial video on this was made by ETA Prime on youtube. I'll leave a link and youtube search instructions, if your interested.
    You can search youtube for "stream launchbox to nvidia shield" and it will be the first video, or use the link below.
    Big thanks to everyone who gave this setup a try. I hope you all enjoy!
    Stay classy retro fans

  7. Some Screenshots

    All these images have been automatically generated. Scanning through them they mostly look alright. All named to game title. I havent gone through them properly so have a look before moving them into LB.
    These images are ones that I couldn't scrape. But I think I might have accidentally left some psp mini screenshots that are already available on the database in the pack. Sorry im to lazy to go through them all.
    A mixture of sizes.

    Gamecube - 534
    PS1 - 138, each game has 2 images so 2..7... whatever double 138 is. Its late.
    PSN - 15 - again 2 images
    PSP minis - 288
    WiiU - 5 - 2 images

  10. Hacks & Fan-Made Clear Logos

    A set of 269 logos I either created or found on the web,for the Hacks & Fan-Made games Platform. These cover every game I currently have on my own system,but,certainly not every hacked game in existence. Much like my PSP mini set,I could not find a set without the rectangle box behind them,so I just created one.

  11. Missing Silver Ring Clear Game Logo Set by "SuperSprayer40"

    These are some of the missing logo titles, based on "SuperSprayer40" Silver Ring Clear Game Logo sets.
    This is Just based on the romsets that I currently have, I would say that the Dreamcast, Genesis, Master System, SNES, NES, Gamecube are more or less complete. (please note Sega Dreamcast is slightly different to Supersprayer40 as I didn't realise it had been changed until I had finished, but difference is minimal. With PS1/2 and Wii titles I only have a small collection, so just thought I'd upload these missing ones anyway.
    I've included a template folder in each set, so if you still have missing logos it will be easy for you to sort out and upload for others to use as well.
    ****I will be looking to make a big attempt to complete the Mame set that JPGIII started off (roughly 650+ logos so far). I'm currently whitling down my current 2,500+ Mame set to the games I want. Once this is done I'll be in a position to start compiling the logos. so watch this space.....******
    Sega Dreamcast = 85
    Sega Genesis = 160
    Sega Master System = 137
    SNES = 6
    Nintendo Wii = 16
    Nintendo Gamecube = 9
    N64 = 4
    NES = 13
    PS1 = 2
    PS2 = 3

    Most of these logos were made to help complete the SHMUPS, Beat 'em ups, and Run N Gun playlists that I posted here:

  20. Hacks & Fan-Made Box-Art and Clear Logos

    Attached are some box art and clear logos that I use for my own personal collection. Some of these I mocked up myself since a lot of them just don't exist really anywhere and some were just edited/modified and others are just ones that I downloaded (Super Metroid Eris being one of those). In any case I don't take any credit for any of them since none are 100% original work by me. I am by no means a professional and I wish I could re-draw the logos that aren't high res, but I don't have those kinds of skills. I am also being very careful not to step on the toes of people that have already submitted artwork here, so if you are looking for box-art/logos for:
    AM2R
    Super Mario Omega
    Super Mario Land 3
    Castlevania II: Simon's Quest Revamped
    Zelda: The Legend of Link
    Hyper Metroid
    The Legend of Zelda DX
    None of these are included (unless I make my own variants on them) and can be downloaded from the site, if you need those (it's what I am using for those games).
