So what settings can I change within LB/BB to help it run on my pc stick smoother?

I completely agree LaunchBox is without question the best front end available and I don't mind that it's resource heavy because its using those resources to bring me a beautiful experience. That's why I pay for it and use it every day. Whatever I put on my PC stick for example doesn't need to be nearly as pretty, but I would like something that looks fairly nice.

Yea the higher model is $400+ which isn't worth it. A Raspberry Pi Zero can run Attract Mode which has wheels and videos so I was hoping the Compute Stick could run a light theme. I love LB and BB but I might try emulation station for the Compute Stick if it's less resource intensive.

Ah, so no video clips in Big Box - just art?

Cool - BigBox as well? Or is BigBox too demanding because of all the videos?

Thanks - Yea VivoStick still doesn't have MicroSD which is a let down because it is certainly the better looking stick and has the Asus Apps to act as a casting device. Do you run LaunchBox on your stick? Or a different front end?

Hi All - I am debating getting an Intel ComputeStick or an Asus VivoStick as sort of a portable media and arcade device. I have my full blown set up at home but would want something I can travel with that can be used for media like Kodi, Plex, etc.. and retro emulation like NES, SNES, Genesis, etc... I would use a couple of bluetooth NESPro30 Controllers since they also travel well. Is anyone doing anything like this? Any luck? Do any of you have these stick PCs and have feedback?

Do you have some basic instructions? I messed with it yesterday and was struggling.

Hi All, im currently using wireless Xbox 360 controllers. I would like to upgrade to something like PS4 controllers. What are most people using? Would I need anything special to get PS4 controllers to work or would it be as straight forward as the xbox controllers are. I don't want to get things too complicated, just want some more modern controllers

Zero clue what the issue could be. I am trying directly with the exe. After it installed it opened but nothing was populated. So i closed and tried to open the exe again. Now nothing. I am trying to download a fresh LB and then drag my old files over

It didn't work - Nothing happens when i try to open LB.

I get it, but a force crash or a bug is one thing, deleting essential files is an alpha build not a beta.

Ok will try now. Should I use the most recent file for beta 12 or the last one I had installed beta 11?

So i installed into a new folder, copied the exe into my old folder and it isn't doing anything. This is a mess. I'm worried I may overwrite all of my settings and configurations

Will that overwrite my stuff? Do i install it do a different folder and just grab the exe or do i install it to my current folder with my fully installed lb install?

I tried upgrading to beta 12, received the below error and when i clicked abort, LaunchBox.exe is missing. Any help is appreciated!

This happened to me too, but to be clear, LaunchBox does not overwrite anything. I was worried because I don't use my MAME pack roms for Naomi. All you need to do is go to the playlist view in LaunchBox and delete the Daphne playlist. Then when you change your view back to platforms you will see the Daphne that you created manually.

I submitted a ticket for this feature a week or so ago. With the new arcade playlists I'm up to 80+ systems which is cumbersome to work through in big box. I recommend another view that could also have Wheel art and videos. It would be 4 choices (Arcade, Handheld, Console, Playlist)
