  1. ok so ive checked those boxes and i added studio2 -cart to the command line in launchbox - it launches a game but i get this jittery mess.
  2. Hi Guys, hoping someone can help me out. I have a full MAME list (mess) romset and bios set. I've downloaded MAME 0.185. I cannot seem to get rca studio 2 working alone, through LaunchBox or RocketLauncher. Mame will open but immediately close. This makes me think I have a bios issue. Is there a folder structure I need to follow? I have the roms in their own folder and I put the MAME list roms in the roms folder of MAME. I've also added the rca studio 2 roms directory and my MAME arcade roms directory. Not sure what I'm missing. any help is appreciated.
  3. I am putting in a request to be able to sort my platforms and playlists with either an arrow up/down function or drag and drop function. Currently we need to use the "sort name" field which is nice, but very cumbersome if you add a platform or playlist after your numbering is set. I just updated my MAME set which removed my playlists and re-added them but now i need to go to every single one to sort. I believe this exists for sorting games within a playlist, so I want to bring it up a level for all of your consoles and playlists. I have submitted a feature request - https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/3055/platform-playlist-sorting-with-arrows-or
  4. Ok I got it working through RocketLauncher. I needed a different module. No idea how to get it to run in LaunchBox.
  5. OK so i have a couple of games running in Project Temptest by itself - but it will not run in LaunchBox or RocketLauncher. IN LaunchBox it will open the emulator but not load the game - i am assuming there is a command line i should put it but i have zero clue where to even begin. IN RocketLauncher it does literally nothing.
  6. Got Primal Rage up and running with project temptest no problem. Disks need to be in CDI format. I gave CCD and ING formal. Any idea how to convert or is it easier to go find the right format roms?
  7. I'm seeing people with jaguar cd sets working in Hyperspin videos. But no one ever says what emulator.
  8. I have a romset fir Atari Jaguar CD but I have no clue how to emulate it and I can't find videos. Any help is appreciated!
  9. I use different emulators for cps3 and sega model 3. Are you saying I can do both of those through MAME the exact way I have been for the resold arcade? that would be a nice change of pace...
  10. Nope non merged. Looks like an oversight
  11. hsfs,.zip is where i noticed it originally
  12. Foudn a fix for anyone else with the same issue: -extract qsound.bin from the qsound.zip archive-rename it dl-1425.bin-copy it back to qsound.zip
  13. Hi all, Anyone else having issues with games that need qsound file? I have a full MAME 0.185 romset and get the errors whether I use MAME or RetroArch. The error i get is that: dl-1425.bin is missing and it checks both in the rom and in the qsound zip. I can't seem to find tht bin file online Someone else posted about this in the RetroArch forum but the link is broken. Anyone have that file or a qsound.zip that works? Anyone using the 0.185 romset without issue
  14. Same. I didn't need to tell RA to do a thing or look anywhere to work. Do you guys import clones? I did skip clones but I wonder if I'm kidding games because of it? Also how does the merged romset work? Like when you load the zip file, how does it know which rom to play if there's multiple inside?
  15. No all bioses are in same folder as roms. You literally need to do nothing in RetroArch. Your issue could be you don't have a full set or that you are trying to launch games that need chd files that you didn't download.
  16. You need all of it. There's s ton of bios files in there. You also need chd pack because newer games and bigger games use them. If you want arcade and simple, get final burn alpha romset and use the fbalpha core. Simple, works, smaller...
  17. You need about 650gb worth in 2 torrents. The mame non merged set 120gb The CHD merged set 440gb put the thousands of individual files from the roms (120gb) torrent into a folder. Then take all of the individual folders from the chd (440gb) set and put those folders in the same folder as your roms. Do not change the names of anything. In LaunchBox import roms, point to the main folder and LaunchBox will import them. Use mame RetroArch core because it's simple.
  18. Looks like MAME on RetroArch creates a MAME folded inside my rom folder with the settings and nvram stuff. I'm guessing I need to tell the core where to put that.
  19. So I have the box unchecked and it isn't working for RetroArch. LaunchBox calls it Arcade and RetroArch only recognizes MAME. Any other tips? Changing the command line from LB to RA maybe? I hate to edit the module file or change Platform name. I had other custom Platform names working with MAME emulator. Just not right now with RetroArch for some reason
  20. Got it up and running with RetroArch. My issue now is that I use RocketLauncher and the RetroArch module in RocketLauncher does not support the system name of "Arcade" so it will not launch any games. Is there a setting you know if in RL to shut that off? If I rename Arcade to MAME in LaunchBox will it screw anything up? Playlists or anything else get messed up? I know some people had issues in the past with Playlists when their platform name was MAME. Thank you!
  21. Yea I had issues with MAMEUIFX remembering controls so I had to set my controls then make the file a read only.
  22. Yes "best" to me is usually easier - RetroArch is my preferred because of controller support. So if the MAME core is just as simple for controllers as everything else then that's probably the way I should go.
  23. Maybe i go the retroarch route since controllers are so easy. Any major difference between retroarch mame and native mame?
  24. I've been using MAMEUIFX 64 and getting the no nag version from Hyperspin. I am a year behind on my romset and am currently getting version 0.185. Should I get the Arcade64 0.185 no nag - Which is the new version of MAMEUIFX? Or is there something better I should be using for LaunchBox and my MAME set? Most important thing to me is that it works and works well with my XBOX 360 controllers as well as RocketLauncher - I do not use shaders. I do however use RocketLauncher for Bezels and Fades. Any tips appreciated
  25. This is amazing - can you add a "random" option? Where it would grab any video you have in the folder?
