  1. Well, that's too bad for sure. @SentaiBrad mentioned getting @circo involved so there could be a place to put these. I would really like for that to happen so I could share as I go and make, what is sure to be hundreds more, available to the community. In the meantime, I will go on ahead and just archive them for myself and maybe look into some random file hosting site where I can drop them. Today is a sad day indeed... :(

  2. @DOS76 I am certainly going to keep going if for nothing but myself personally. My original goal was to have a full soundtrack for every game for every system I have on my favorites list. I just don't want to keep going through the effort of zipping them and uploading them all here if they are going to have to be pulled.

I also agree that we probably wouldn't need to worry at this point really. You are also right that they would put out a cease and desist notice before actually taking legal action. I will hold off on uploading anymore until I get a solid answer on if it is ok for me to keep going for now or not.

  3. Oh really... @Jason Carr If you guys are legitimately going to need to kill them, then I wouldn't know where else to put them. I don't have an EmuMovies Premium yet and IIRC there is no place for whole soundtracks anyways. That would bite but I understand if you find it necessary. Should I just stop uploading them right now or is there still a discussion that needs to take place beyond this?

EDIT: Because obviously, we don't want LB to get into any legal problems because of this...

I have always a bug after exit game and return to bigbox I need to click with my mouse to back. (I use Hyperlaunch) On beta 19 I haven't got this problem to with between RL and Bigbox.

    Isn't Hyperlaunch deprecated?

  5. Oh my gosh, I can change views in the games list and it takes less than one second to swap over to the other view. Before it would be upwards of 15-20 seconds. Coming out of options now takes ~5 seconds when it was taking almost a minute! Holy hell is a handbasket this is GREAT! I am finding more and more places where the performance is just plain substantially better! I may not have 15-second start like Jason did during the stream but off my 4TB NAS drive it is still maybe 20 seconds and that LITERALLY an order of magnitude better. How often can we say that BigBox starts ten times faster than it did before? Not often... I did get a crash when I was in the cover flow and hit F2, my key for changing image types. I didn't intend to hit it but it did die. I'll post it here...

@Jason Carr , I love you, man! This is the kind of thing that makes LB my happiest purchase I have ever made.

  6. @Charco Thanks buddy! I already use VLC as my default player so maybe I was seeing something else, who knows. I will keep Jason posted in the streams of anything I find I'm sure. he seems to be made more aware that way when I can bother the living hell out of him about it. :D

  7. A few may have noticed that I have kind of been on a rampage of making soundtracks for games in the downloads/game media section. I know there might be bandwidth issues and you don't do game videos on the DB but if there were a way to add these full soundtracks to the DB so they could be downloaded from LBDB and not just from EmuMovies, that would be great. The thing is, EmuMovies, as it's name implies, is mostly about videos and images. The files they have for audio are sometimes just random snippets from somewhere, anywhere in the game, they lack, a lot of the time, the title theme and they do not have any more that that one MP3. Would be kick ass if myself and others could start really cranking these soundtracks out en' mass and adding them. I think it would really upgrade the whole LB/BB experience a lot.

    What do you guys think?

  8. As one might imagine, this one is certainly very confusing to me. What is happening is that I have 3,433 SNES roms imported into LB but when I load up BB only shows 13 Roms and it is an eclectic list oh Japanese games only one of which I have ever played before. That's it, I have reimported my whole SNES set and it is exactly the same. It has been at least a few weeks since I have played a SNES game and I haven't really used BB until the recent addition of filenames addition @Jason Carr so graciously did for me the last stream. Just to show I am not being crazy here I snapped a couple shots. None of my other systems do this and they all show up just fine in BB except for SNES as far as I could tell so far. I have also included a ZIP containing my Data folder, as it is right this second, in case I have done anything stupid and didn't realize.

Thank you for taking a peek!

This is a whole soundtrack for use with Launch Box/Big Box. I do not own these songs and do not claim to. All I did was capture and convert them and do some minor cleanup with audacity.

These tracks were recorded in 44Khz and have a pseudo stereo separation based on the channel used. They have a small low pass and a very slight high pass filter applied to take the edge off of the NESs ringing tones for easier listening. These were encoded using the Lame MP3 encoder in a variable bit rate of 170-210 Kbps.

    To install...
Just extract the whole archive directly into your LaunchBox\Music\Sega Genesis directory.

    Have fun! :D

NOTE: If you already have the EmuMovies music for this game you MAY have to delete it for LB/BB to see this correctly.

  23. Hey, Just wanted to point out that starting last night, I think it was beta 20, the downloads have started running really slowly. When it used to take maybe 30 seconds it is now taking upwards of a minute and a half or even two minutes. This morning was the second update in a row that seems way slower so I thought it worth mentioning.
