  1. Play Box 5 View File This is Play Box 5, An overhaul of Play Box 4 with Game title, description & background/fanart images available from Home Screen upon selecting each title from the Recently Played Shortcuts. Lots of tweaks like fading menu controls, Home Screen Icons/Widgets & Banner/Box images have been enlarged slightly. Changed some of the Games Views & also New Walls Games Views. Hundreds of more Icons/Widgets & new videoborders for the WheelGamesView. Make sure you Refresh all images in BigBox options/Image Cache. This theme was designed on a 32 inch screen TV at a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080p. It's been tested on a 42 inch screen TV, 18 inch screen laptop & a 21 inch screen Desktop PC all at screen resolution of 1920 x 1080p. If there are any display problems then it can mostly be a scaling issue in Windows for example Settings/System/Scale & Layout = 125% or some TVs have scaling options in there picture settings or scaling options in Graphics card settings for example Nvidia Control Panel or ATI Radeon Catylist Control Center. For a 4K display this can be achieved by changing the desktop resolution to 3840 x 2160 & change the windows scaling settings to 250% via the Windows/Settings/Display/Scale & Layout Setting but all your other apps ect may be zoomed in as Play Box was designed in a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080. 3. Hi cirdansky, I’m glad you’re enjoying my theme. The only way I can think of you changing banners to box images is cycling through image types by pressing the T button on your keyboard. Or set the priority of box images in launch box options to 3D boxes.
  4. Hi Droken. This theme was designed on a 32 inch screen TV at a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080p. It's been tested on a 42 inch screen TV, 18 inch screen laptop & a 21 inch screen Desktop PC all at screen resolution of 1920 x 1080p. Do you have your desktop screen set at the right screen resolution, or sometimes it can be a scaling issue in Windows for example Settings/System/Scale & Layout = 125% or some TVs have scaling options in there picture settings or scaling options in Graphics card settings for example Nvidia Control Panel or ATI Radeon Catylist Control Center.
  5. Firstly I don’t know how you got the videoborder view inside the platform view as the videoborder views are for the wheelgamesview only. Unless you have replaced the platform image At Home Screen in platform background folder with a videoborder image from the videoborder folder to show in your background, either way the videoborder images do not belong in platform views so therefore the video image at bottom of screen is where it needs to stay. If you want though you could just play around with the video Height, width & margin settings in video section at bottom in each platformfiltersview file. Secondly the white box can be removed either by deleting the videoborder section in each platformfiltersview file or removing the image itself from from the videoborder folder however the image of the platform icon behind it cannot be removed which is why I put the white videoborder there. Thirdly this theme was designed for a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 & I notice that icons & text are out of line on your Home Screen. Do you have you screen set at the right resolution, or sometimes it can be a scaling issue in Windows for example settings/system/Scale & Layout = 125% or some TVs have scaling options in there picture settings. Hope these work out for you.
  6. Glad you like my theme. Can you please send a picture of video issues so I can understand what the problem is. To remove the play best content & recently played information all you need to do is delete the play best content & recently played text from within each platformfiltersview file with any simple text editor such as notepad then save.
  7. Play Box 4 View File NOTE THIS THEME IS BUILT FOR STEAM STYLE BANNERS FOR THE FAVOURITES & RECENTLY PLAYED BOX IMAGES. This theme is designed for a screen resolution of 1920 X 1080. Steam Banner images need to be 400px X 215px in order to scale correctly. This is Play Box 4, A continuation of Play Box 3 but with the views tweaked for a more Netflix for movies & games kind of feel. with many different types of games views. Included in my theme is many different types of games views with alternative control layouts for Microsoft XBOX One, Microsoft XBOX 360 & Sony Playstation 4. There is also a collection of steam Banners for games of various platforms thrown in to get you started. I have recreated all the Widjets/Device icons from Retroarch to display all platform/playlists ect. This theme is highly customisable as there are many Platform & Games views to choose from all with changeable menu controls, British/European & American Movie & Game age rating images, Avatar pictures for your profile & you can even put your own name with your avatar. Important note**If the artwork & videoborder views do not display properly for a platform on your system, there will most likely be naming conflicts between your platforms & files in my theme. To fix this issue, you must locate these files in the background & videoborder folders of my Play Box theme then change the names to your actual platforms name. Installation Unzip the Play Box 4 folder to your Launchbox /Themes directory. Setting up Steam Banners Make sure you set Platform & Game images as Steam Banners within the game options in Launchbox. Then for them to be used in the theme correctly set the priority of the boxes view to prioritise Steam Banners first - if you ever want to revert this it is then simply a case of lowering the priority of the steam banners in the boxes list rather than having to remove or reorganise images. To do this open Launchbox and go to Tools --> Options and in the window that appear select Box Front Properties in the Images section and use the Up button to move the Steam Banners to the top of the list. This will be the last Play Box theme in the series but i will continue to update Play Box 4 where possible. Submitter daz Submitted 09/13/2020 Category Big Box Custom Themes

Hi Grila, Love this feature in Big Box. I would like to add this plugin to the games views in my Theme Play Box so could you please upload instructions of the string/code that I need to input. Also if you ever get time would it be possible to update the Controls Plugin as the game controller battery status needs a battery bar icon behind the battery level indicators so that it is easier to see when you have artwork images in the background. Keep up the good work.
  9. Thanks for your interest in my theme jayjay. In regards to the video position i could move this however I have been in contact with jason & he has informed me that the default platformwheel2filtersview was not built for the purpose of recent & favourites shortcuts. I have tried to find a workaround for this but without success. I will therefore be redesigning the platformwheel2filtersview. sorry to everyone who downloaded play box 3 for that view file as I thought it was a bug in my LaunchBox version & did not test in other versions earlier.
  10. Hi The theme is so large because of all the content I have included. It is mostly because of all the videoborder files I have created for the WheelGamesView .
  11. Thanks bundangdon for amending the text list view as I was rushing to get the updates uploaded & forgot to put that in there.
  12. In response to the question by davbedwards, 1st & 2nd images are PlatformWhee3lFiltersView & PlatformWheel4FiltersView, 3rd image is HorizontalWheel2GamesView, 4th image is TextGamesView, 5th image is HorizontalWheel1GamesView, 6th image is HorizontalWheel3GamesView but I have now changed this to Steam Banners only, 7th image is WallGamesView & the final image is WheelGamesView. As for Steam Banner Images the ones supplied in my theme I created myself. there may be certain sites that provide non steam banner images.
  13. Thanks for the feedback, I’m very grateful as I’m trying to create a theme as modern as possible. My only limitations is the CoverFlow wheel in the platform & games views as I would like to be able to navigate vertically & horizontally like you can in the favourites & recently played boxes/banners. I will add a cover art & video for you in the games text view & look at the wheel in the games wheel view also as soon as I get time as I’m working on another similar theme. Stay tuned for updates.
  14. No problem, I previously thought about doing a view for steam banners in my next theme I’m working on so I will have a look at what I can do.
  15. Play Box 3 View File Happy New Year 2020 to all NOTE THIS THEME IS BUILT FOR STEAM STYLE BANNERS FOR THE FAVOURITES & RECENTLY PLAYED BOX IMAGES. This is Play Box 3, A continuation of Play Box 2. I have redesigned this theme for a more modern look of Steam Big Picture Mode or TV Media Center Graphical User Interfaces. All games & apps that have been added as your favourite & recently played now have a Steam Banner style shortcut on the Home Screen for quick access. Platform & Games views now have faded backgrounds for artwork. Included in my theme is alternative control layouts for Microsoft XBOX One & Sony Playstation 4 & a collection of steam Banners for games of various platforms. There are 2x Platform views & 6x Game views to choose from all with menu controls, All the videoborder views from my previous Play Box Themes are there. Important note**If the artwork & videoborder views do not display properly for a platform on your system, there will most likely be naming conflicts between your platforms & files in my theme. To fix this issue, you must locate these files in the background & videoborder folders of my Play Box theme then change the names to your actual platforms name. Big thanks to Jason Carr, CriticalCid & RetroHumanoid for there Unified themes which has inspired me to create my videoborder views. And a big thanks to BlazingRyuu for his Device Icons which i have slightly edited to scale to my theme. Demo.mp4 Submitter daz Submitted 01/01/2020 Category Big Box Custom Themes

  19. Loving these bezels lust, could you do Sony PlayStation & Sega Saturn please so my collection would be complete.
  20. Hi thanks for using my theme. I’m sorry but I don’t understand what you mean by magnification effect, do you mean the size of selected item in the horizontal wheel.
  21. Not sure, have you tried changing the images of thumbnails from the home screen. Keep pressing the change image button/key until it shows image of thumbnails.
  22. Thanks very much. I wanted to achieve the comfort of gaming at a living room TV like a games console gamer but with the diversity of LaunchBox & the power & flexibility of a PC.
  23. Play Box View File ****** NOTE THIS THEME IS BUILT FOR STEAM STYLE BANNERS FOR THE FLOWCONTROL WHEEL. ********* This is my one & only theme called Play Box that started off as a personal project to what i desired which was a modern look of the sony playstation 4 & Microsoft xbox one consoles user interfaces with nostalgic retro views of classic games. This theme is highly customisasble & has been several months of hard but enjoyable work, I have tested at 1920 x 1080p screen resolution & all seems fine so any positive feedback would be gratefull. Included in my theme is a customisable Username with Avatar picture that you can edit to use your own picture & therefor the picture needs to be 62px x 62px in size. To change the names you can just select the canvas, click & drag a rectangle shape over the names & delete. Then create a new Text & input your own names. This can be done with any editing tool such as Paint 3D in Windows 10, Or you can use the 10 other Presets that i have included. As for Menu control layouts i have created them mostly for Microsoft XBOX One but i have also included Sony Playstation 4 control layouts as an alternative. There are 3x Platform views & 11x Game views to choose from all with menu controls. I have sourced all fan art backgrounds through google & with them i have created over 350 VideoBorders for modern & classic systems. Important note**If the Background & VideoBorder views do not display properly for a platform on your system, there will most likely be naming conflicts between your platforms & files in my theme.
