Yep, that's the one. Functionwise they are identical. Only difference is the horizontal placing of the START/SELECT buttons instead of diagonal as on the original SNES controller, as well as the SGB version of the controller featuring a slight "grippy" texture on the D-pad, as is also found on a DMG-101 Game Boy. One thing to note is the face buttons are a bit - how should I say - "clickety-clackety" compared to an original SNES or Super Famicom controller. When playing two-player button mashing fighters with my son the button mashing gets quite noisy. Other than that they are great controllers and I'm really pleased with them.

I was skeptical of them at first too. I have two now, one as pictured and one Super Game Boy style. I was surprised how comfy they are even when using the analogue sticks. If you enjoy using a SNES controller they will definitely feel second nature. Plus they are actually ever so slightly bigger than an official SNES controller, so for hands that have grown since childhood they are still really comfy.

Yo dawg, thanks for the response. Which website are you referring to? Got a link? Edit: Nevermind, just figured out you meant from within Launchbox. That just blew my mind. Thanks dude! Like Buddha says, you gotta find answers from within, not from withou! Merry Christmas all!

Very nice. How is the signal on your 8bitdo modkits? I have ones for my NES and SNES controllers, the NES signal is pretty stable, but the SNES one intermittently cuts out and/or sends signals of holding down Down and Left on the Dpad. I used to have a similar setup but with wired controllers and USB adapters, but I always found myself in the situation where I just finished playing an NES game and then wanted to play a PSX game and got fed up with having to get up to switch controllers. So currently I have two wireless 8Bitdo SF30 Pro controllers for my Big Box setup.

Are you using the right emulator for your romset? With MAME, it's best to ensure your emulators and romsets match. I think right now they're on version 0.204.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a Japanese Mega Drive Platform Video? Either by CriticalCid or in the same style as his? I've only found US Genesis and European Mega Drive platform videos. Since I have individual US/Japanese wheels for NES/Famicom, SNES/Super Famicom and PCE/TG16, it's been doing my head in not having a Japanese Mega Drive wheel.

Hey guys. Quite often after exiting a game, when arriving back at the game menu a large portion of my desktop is visible. The problem goes away when I escape back to the system menu. See screenshot below of what I mean. Any one else experienced this? Any clue how to prevent this from happening? Thanks

I've just finished putting up the Christmas tree and lights with my son. Is there by chance a Christmas Big Box theme available?

Mr. RetroLust's Marquee Screen Filler Magic
Nyukki replied to Mr. RetroLust's topic in Big Box Custom Themes
hey dude, really like this feature. recently added a marquee monitor and the black space has been bugging me, so thanks a lot! however, i'm getting a fair bit of slow down when i add these xaml files. when i flip through games/platforms it stutters briefly before showing the video/artwork on my main screen and the marquee with effect on the second monitor. i'm running big box on an system with i7 6700k cpu but only internal graphics, no additional video card. there is no slow down if i switch on the marquee monitor without the blur effect. do you think adding a graphics card (nothing crazy, something like a gtx1050) would help alleviate the stuttering when adding the marquee blur effect? been thinking about getting one anyway, but not sure how powerful of a card i need. Thanks! -

Hey quick question as I haven't found this mentioned anywhere. Are there (on EmuMovies or elsewhere) Platform Category videos for the Unified theme? At the moment in BigBox when I hit escape and go to "Show platform categories" I just get a black screen but can flip through the platform categories wheel (arcade, consoles, handhelds, computers) on the right. I'm guessing akin to the individual platform theme videos I'm supposed to grab the relvant platform category videos. Have these been made by anyone? If yes, where can I get them and where do I put them in my Launchbox folder? Thanks!
