  1. I only have 30 PS3 and 65 Wii-U so if you're talking entire sets, I can see why it's so large!
  2. I have just over 43k games, but all on an 8tb drive so i'm not sure how you are using so much space...do you have many later console games? (Ps3, etc), do you not compress anything?
  3. I installed it but it requires a $99 registration to actually try the compression doesn't it? Or am I missing something?
  4. @misterlamide My 8TB drive only has about 75GB free on it, if I install this and run the compression is it not going to be able to do anything on this drive due to the lack of available free space?
  5. I've never even HEARD OF THIS...I have Windows 8.1 (my preferred main OS), and my PS2 games are all .GZ compressed so after a small extraction during a launch of the game for the first time, there is no delay and I save some space...I wonder if this would save a lot more...any helpful guides to getting this working? Is it possible to gain a benefit on my already compressed .GZ roms? Thanks.
  6. I love you

    Mame Importer

About to get the full MAME set, but is the LB importer still at 0.202 or .203 now? Split or Merged better to get? I plan on importing a limited amount of games into this smaller collection of mine, and just want an easier time doing it...
  9. I also use additional apps for PDF strategy guides. Please fix! Thanks!
  10. Good advice guys. I think i'll do both...multiple 8TB builds for completion sake and to have a solid ps3/wiiU/Wii collection, and also create a smaller (highly curated collection which i'd likely use most), which I know I can get down to 3-4tb easily...ao much crap out there I don't care to play.
  11. Thanks, I missed that!
  12. What just changed in Beta 8?
  13. Well of course, I just meant based upon other similar style 16bit rpg games... i've heard the music/audio is something special; something about what they did with the audio format...beyond regular CD audio.
  14. I may have found it. Will try it soon. Is the game really as good as people let on?
  15. LOL I didn't realize it, but it was loading the SoundTrack CD only...that is the only .cue I have...I can't seem to find this actual title on CD. (only the MegaDrive version). Darn!
  16. I'm not able to load this game using Genesis GX in the retroarch core...it tells me that I need to insert a cartridge first? Any way to fix that?
  17. I happen to be on 8.1, that's good to know though!
  18. I realize this thread is old, but relevant to my current inquiry... did either of you figure out the best emulator to use for the few multi-disc Sega CD games out there? Any help appreciated.
  19. Both seem to work fine...what am I losing from one and gaining from the other beyond uniformity with using Retroarch with more stuff (which may be enough if all things are equal otherwise) Is it true that Genesis GX does not do multi-Disc games? I thought I read about that somewhere...
  20. I was wanting to grow the collection however and that's the challenge when it comes to the dollars because the drive prices just aren't optimal for it yet.
  21. Sorry thought I linked the 16TB one, LOL
  22. Yes I know...scary...which is why I will back it all up using Backblaze for $5 a month, they even give option to send hard drive to recover if needed to...just wondering if anyone had a better solution for cheaper.
  23. Actually I was just thinking about using the whole 16TB
  24. NOTE: I would love to be able to RAID/mirror a drive at 16TB usable space, but I can't afford a $1300-1500 solution right now. I'd rather rely on something like Backblaze (much slower yes, but a cloud solution for $5 a month...), and at least have a larger collection....for now anyways.
  25. Considering biting the bullet and upgrading my single drive 8TB collection to this: https://www.amazon.com/20TB-Desktop-External-Drive-WDBFBE0200JBK-NESN/dp/B074QW86T4 Anyone have suggestions or alternatives I may want to consider first? Appreciate learning more about what people are doing to get above 8TB.... Thanks!
