For Gamecube...I just use DOLPHIN to select ALL games at once and right click compress...

Should the zip for hte 5200.rom file be named 5200.zip or a5200.zip (as per the video...) ?

" Just delete any entries in your library that aren't the first disk/side. " ahhhh got it, thanks a lot! Gonna take awhile with 8k roms, but I'll do a little bit each day I guess, haha

Anyone ever respond to you about this? Wondering too.

I have all RAW files in 7z format atm, but am thinking about the PS2, GC, PSP compressions when collection expands.
I can't take a screenshot as I hardly have anything in there ATMI will do down the road once added some of the collection in.
Awesome, would love to see what you end up with...maybe we could collaborate, share knowledge on what we are missing, etc :-)

Nice collection you have there too!
I'm going to be honest, I have hardly any of my sets imported atm, barely any. Got into the scene about August '16 and am filling my 5TB atm (Will need to go bigger!)
I still have C64 to add, I swear its like 8k games!Every folder on this drive is COMPLETE set other than PS2, PS1, Wii, Wii U. My drive also does not included MAME yet
I know I have cheatedI just want to get things perfect before importing all to LB
Very cool...hey, would you be willing to click TOOLS up top in launchbox and click MANAGE PLATFORMS, then wide/enlarge that window and share a screenshot of that? Shows a game count on the right side :-D
I've attached mine?
I have a 8TB drive prepared for this collection, but haven't been able to fill it yet...:-) I think I'm just over/around 5TB at this point...but I compress everything in a format that doesn't require a long decompress to play when available...GCZ for gamecube (realtime loading)....wbfs for WII (realtime loading), GZ for PS2 (realtime after FIRST load, creates a small temp file per game, in the MB in size), CSO for PSP (realtime loading)...really trying to max out the possible space I can use...
Fun doing this!-

Okay, after a little bit of work I'm now at 32,650 games, this is spanned over 84 complete HyperList sets
Hmmm I just imported several thousand C64 game s(what a multi-disk mess...they didn't combine for the most part, ugh) and I'm now at 26,250 games....wonder what else I'm missing?...I know I still need to do colecovision, atari 5200 and stuff like Game&Watch...Got like 1800 Amiga/AmigaCD games in total, 560 PS2 games, 1544 PS1 games...616 GC games, but only like 66 WII games...etc...
Would you be willing to take a screenshot of your PLATFORMS settings window in Launchbox, widened to see the roms per category in your collection Zetec-s-joe?
Thanks!

I'll update the opening post to make clear that the "launcher" app isn't needed anymore.
If I've already use the launcher app, and imported the exports into launchbox, what do I need to do to undo things? Do I need to?

Imported a ton of games, in D64 and T64 formats.....using this emulator, but can't figure out how to launch half of what I try and control most of them.....SPACEBAR sometimes works as a sort of enter key...if I go to joystick settings I can see my xbox 360 controller move in the calibration test, etc...but no buttons work....
I have a wired XBOX 360 controller and a 3rd party USB SNES controller, wouldn't mind playing with either one....but how do I best configure this emulator with my controllers?
Thanks. -
Hmm okay, thanks, good to know!
-
Just imported 8,200 games, yikes gonna take awhile to fix this....one example:
Apollo 18 - Mission to the Moon (USA) (Disk 1 Side A).D64
Apollo 18 - Mission to the Moon (USA) (Disk 1 Side B).D64
Imported as two entries...
What is the fastest way for me to fix this.....must I rename the files to SOMETHING ELSE?.... and manually add the second B size one under additional apps? Any faster way of fixing these cases? -
I do believe the first part I clipped off was referring to the launchbox DB link though....in all cases....

Okay, just wanted you all to know in case it was helpful...guess I should post this over there....

^ I chose GZ because it gives better compression ratio; not by a huge amount...but when you have hundreds and hundreds of games...it makes a difference. You want to do -9 compression for best results speed and compression wise if you go this route.
Only negative I can think of is that it creates a very small (in the MB) tmp file the FIRST time you launch a game; but after that games load at full speed...not a biggie for me. -

Is there a gui program available to batch compress multiple Gamecube games in there own folder?
Is there a GUI program non command line app available the batch compress ps2 games to CSO?
For GameCube games use dolphin, set the game directory, then just multiply highlighting right click and compress those games all at once.
There is one for PS2 games, via a batch file with iso's in same folder To GZ format using pigz command line multi threading compression... I didn't use CSO, but I believe there is one like that where you load multiple into a window and click to compress.

I feel stupid, I figured out what was....in associated platforms, I had the CORE listed as whatever.dlll (and was changing only the name part before the extension) but it should have been .dll (one too many L's!!!) - AAAARGH

Got MSX working with Retroarch Bluemsx core...but can't do the same with MSX2, nothing happens when I launch game...switched MSX2 to FMSX core instead in Retroarch, at least it seems to load, but it's only a black screen...
What am I doing wrong? :-\
