Are you aware of the site that breaks down simply what new games have been added, and which games are now playable that we're not before? I would love to check that,
-
I have fiber optic, so I'll probably just download the latest set to upgrade it anyways

All sorted then?
No I'll try tonight after I get home from work, but I need to figure out where the heck I put my giant MAME Collection!

Damn...nice, I should have done that in the first place!

Thanks I'll try that!

I have a very recent complete MAME collection; despite this and doing the import process (skipping clones), I'm clearly missing some titles; which I know because some of the imported games won't work (also tagged to NOT import non-working titles)
One example off the top of my head is: 1941
LB imported 1941a.zip; which doesn't work....I had to download 1941.zip and point it to that...and it works..
Should I reimport over my existing collection and choose to import clones? Would that cause a huge mess or will LB group the clones/originals together (via 'additional apps', etc)?
Thanks everyone. -

I can't believe that worked because you can usually name the emulator whatever you want and it will launch the right emulator as long as it points to the correct .exe
Yes...true...and it certainly was linked to Retroarch right click and launch the emulator manually...WIERD

That fixed it; can't believe I missed that! Thanks a lot!!!

To confirm it's pointed directly at the .TAP file (they are not compressed)

Following this guide:
Using 1.5.0 (latest) Retroarch....not working...I can right click a game in my LB collection after following all steps and launch the emulator (Sinclair ZX Spectrum), and Retroarch opens, but if I double click one, brief hourglass icon and then nothing opens...I'm using TAP files only (uncompressed)
What else can I try? No idea why it doesn't work...I've went through the steps in the video three times :-(

"Sure, but presumably cleverest has decompressed that giant zip file. " YES...it's not remaining as a single zip...lol, couldn't use it if it were....
That fact I've installed some games, added folders, and files (later fixed), but not renamed anything...presumably that shouldn't break any upgrade, whether copying into it, or seeding over the main root installation folder, etc...
:-) I can't wait! -
"When 3.0 releases, I will provide instructions on the sites I release to as to how best upgrade one's existing collection without downloading much in the way of duplicate data. " - I really appreciate this, I have the full internet archive set with the Windows collection and all...

I'll probably be able to get 10 more people into Launchbox on this basis alone once it's rolls out....

curious too...soooo excited to get this into Launchbox

When you converted them, there are options in the program to not have them split up. WBFS files can be any size, the 4GB file size limit comes in with FAT32 drives, which is what drives needed to be in for some USB Wii game loaders, which isn't the case anymore and isn't the case for Dolphin. If you followed my compression tutorial, the application I brought up certainly has that option somewhere in the options, but check the program you did use and disable that. It might even let you combine them, but you will more than likely have to reconvert the game.
Thanks, I didn't not create these titles; they were acquired elsewhere; I guess I may have to recombine them in WII MANAGER, perhaps into an ISO :-(
Thanks...I'll see if I can compress them into one file after that.
-
Some games are too large and they have a smaller WBF1 file; I am making sure they are imported when I import the game into the same wii games folder...but I've noticed they are not attached at all to the original title in the ADDITION APPS section...does that matter? Will I have issues with these formats for these larger games when it comes time to access the data? (Through Dolphin)
Thank you.

This is annoying; since I upgraded to 7.9, every game is finding the proper assets when it imports, but I'm having to rename them all because the name is adding whatever is in the VERSION field...how can I fix this?
Thanks!

Yeah I guess I'll just follow the guide again, skipping the exporter....will LB 7.9 more smartly combined games now, part A and B's etc?...it's such a mess I wanted to redo it anyways...thanks again.

From the looks of the error it looks like you need to rescan your games in FS-UAE itself (not LB). It's not finding the game file associated with that UUID.
I tried, still not working... :-( I guess I screwed it up before somehow, even though it seemed to be working before for most games
-
I probably should just delete it all, and re-import the zips for the WHDload games..that is all I've imported so far, it's just over 1700 games, proably lots of dupes though....disk a, B 1, 2, etc...it's a mess, lol

Ahhh OK, I will try that when I get home tonight, thank you!
I'm always impressed with your quick reply time, you must be plugged into the computer most of the day like I am, LOL
Re-importing my Arcade collection...question before I do

True, thanks DOS76, I'll go ahead and get 184 full collection now, and just grab the update pack for 185 (if that's faster)
