I recall this working once a few versions ago, but now at 7.9 (and a couple before that), my sync just seems to go and go...I've left it on for about 7 hours now... "Please wait while syncing your collection" is still up....
Anyway to tell if it's in fact doing something? I have 28k+ titles so far... -
Excellent advice; I'd love to code something fun like a 2D game of some sort. But that seems way ahead of what I can do l, and not be frustrated with at the start...Gonna try to think of a plugin that can help Launchbox be even more awesome; not sure WHAT that will be yet....

"a very limited release in Brazil via TecToy. " is the rumor.

My understanding is that although " "Surgical Strike 32X was never released it was only ever made into a standard CD game the 32X expantion for it, never got released though was due for release in 1995"" it may have still been released in Brazil....so there is a chance...

Actually the game kinda sucks, but it's RARE...can't find it anywhere...

Anyone have the CD 32X version particularly in their collection, not the regular Sega CD one? Thanks.

Brain fart, that's right....thanks.

When I try to add the folder with my new ISO cd32 games to the file database in FS-UAE, do I add the folder with all the games UNZIPPING into sub-folders for each game, ORcan I LHA compress each subfolder and it will work? (they were originally ZIPS not LHA files), OR can I keep them as zips?
Any idea? Thanks for the help! -
Perhaps @Zombeaver may be familiar with this format....do I need to import the ISO and forget about the EXPORTER with FS-UAE or how to I do this properly? Appreciate any help..
-
It's OK, thanks anyways, I'm sure somebody will chime in eventually, someone has to be using these iso versions of the games

before I approach the code/language itself... with the goal of not wasting my efforts down the wrong road or reinventing the same code I write 100 times...do you personally have a process in place when you want to come up with a new programming idea/Arron of how to lay it out, mind-map or diagram it, and how to basically be best prepared to make sure that you're going in the right direction at least? Any sort of outline prep you do?
Thanks.

Has this process been improved (regarding scraping the super famicom games afterwards) compared to this, at the time, previous version of LB? I'm thinking about doing the same...
-
Agreed, the workaround helps, but this would be nice to have.

I acquired some new Amiga CD32 games to fill up what I was missing, but they are in ISO format, some with CUE and WAV files...I admit...I'm lost...how do I utilize the fs-uae tutorial method with these files or is it hopeless?

Hi @cleverest, we're going to be adding proper plugin support very soon, so maybe you can hop in on that direction soon! I always recommend starting with either Visual Basic or C#. C++ is a bit too antiquated and difficult these days; you're much better off with .NET.
Sounds great! I'll probably go with C#, I have a rudimentary understanding of variables and some commands in it...I have a long road ahead of me...any revolutionary books/tutorials to help accelerate my progress that you are aware of?? I won't hold you to it!

Thanks a lot, I didn't know that!

for the love of video games too, but I want to be able to code something on part of a windows application, supporting meta sync/grabbing, media loving features, like the awesomesauce that is LB; certainly nothing that would compete, but only for personal use...more interested in something for movies of all makes and flavors.
I'm wondering, what programming launguages/resources will get me there easier? I've dabbled in C and Visual C/C++ before, but only to the point of generating a text interactive game...which is to say, not much...
Solid advice and pointers from you @Jason Carror others with application experience and knowledge on that level would be greatly appreciated!! Is Launchbox created with Visual C++ ??
Thanks!

Thanks Zombeaver, but your tutorial video skips the associated platform part (I just watched it) specifically during the FS-USA UUI section (at about the 47:10 mark, this is AFTER you mention and show it during the previous FS-UAE emulator part... I know we keep the EXE the same now with all the improvements as per the annotation you provide, but in the video you just click to dismiss the dialog box after choosing the executable on the latter section...so I was curious, but it makes sense to have both associated platforms set to 'Commodore Amiga'
I have no idea where Amiga UUID came from that was there, but I changed it... -
One thing I noticed, is the tutorial never explains what goes in the assocated platform section of the FS-UAE UUID emulator entry....it defaults on mine to: Amiga UUID - blank parameters - (default emulator unchecked)
My FS-UAE emulator entry is using my platform for Amiga titled: Commodore Amiga - blank parameters - (default emulator checked)
Is this correct how I have it? -
Yeah I'll just pick up the entire new set, LOL easier, and when you have 1GB DL speed, it's not too much of a wait :-)

I understand how to install theme videos for playlists...I just created a playlist collection for my 30 Castlevania games collection....but not sure how to get the game themes installed that are offered as individual video files...probably a dumb question....did I miss a sticky post somewhere on this?
-
Would love to update it myself if I had A.) The time and B.) all the emulator/platforms in my LB to do it...
