  1. @Maddoc1007 Just to be clear, the .bat files are to have the same name as the .zip files, correct?
  2. I see what you're saying... gotcha! Ok, I'm going to try it now. Give me a bit. Thanks for the help! Hope it works!
  3. I will for sure and I did download it. Thanks! Why I'm asking where is because I have 5 other games that would require those files if that's the case.
  4. Where do you get the .bat files from? All of my roms are zipped and when I look inside, there aren't any .bat files in there.
  5. I tried, but none of the versions worked for some strange reason. Which version of MAME or FBA do you use from Retroarch? Just as a note, FBA in Retroarch for both CPS1 and CPS2 work without a hitch.
  6. It's just called Capcom Play System III Emulator and the version is v1.0a. It could be something whipped up by a user and not a stable version of the emulator. I'm not too sure though.
  7. It feels like I live in these forums, haha!! Has anyone got the CPS3 standalone emulator to work with Launchbox? I have a problem where I on a game and it opens up the emulator, but not the game itself. I went into the emulator's .ini file and entered all the paths the roms are located, but I still get the same error. Anybody out there with the same issues at all? Does anyone know how I can fix this? Any help would be awesomely appreciated! Thanks!
  8. Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. It seems more trouble than it's worth and if I want to have a different control scheme, just input it and not be lazy, hahah!! Thanks for the advice and help!!
  9. I downloaded all the MAME cores in Retroarch and entered all of the dll names into edit, but they still didn't work for some reason. They would either open and crash or just not open at all.
  10. That's true actually. Per game input controls does make it very versatile. You make a good point. I guess for me it's mapping out all of the various control schemes for different games, but I guess that's the beauty of it all! I guess I'll stick with what I have.
  11. Hi all! i would really like to use MAME in Retroarch, but I can't seem to get games to launch. Every time I try, nothing happens or it opens and then crashes. I have the standalone MAME emulator, but I'd like to use Retroarch for its input mapping organization. The MAME rom version I have is 0.181. Which version of MAME do I use in Retroarch? Do I have to do anything with any BIOS files besides have them in the System folder? Is there anything I need to do in Launchbox itself? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
  12. Done and done! Thanks so much for the help! I really do appreciate it! What a great community!!
  13. IT WORKED!!!!! FINALLY, HOLY MOLY!!! Thanks for the help!! One more question. Is there a command to have games start up in fullscreen automatically when opened from Launchbox? (ie. -f)
  14. Awesome, thanks! I'll definitely look into this for sure!
  15. Yeah, it seems that way. I'm going to try and play with the settings today and maybe grab the standalone of Mednafen to see if I can get that going. I'm pretty sure it's the BIOS files that the emulator is being picky about. Mine are in all caps (including the extension), so maybe I have to put them in lowercase? Who knows! Hahaha!
  16. How? I played with the video settings for about an hour last night and couldn't figure it out. Is there a specific setting in ePSXe that needs to be changed?
  17. No, I haven't yet because I'm at work unfortunately. I'll definitely do so when I get home today and report back. Hopefully I can get this working. Retroarch video settings are much better than ePSXe. Whenever I exit out of ePSXe, my desktop resolution downscales and it drives me crazy that I have to put it back to the recommended settings.
  18. So that's the issue then. Mednafen... What's the exact format of the bios file that Mednafen will accept?
  19. So that's the issue then. Mednafen... What's the exact format of the bios file that Mednafen will accept?
  20. Where in Retroarch do you enter a source for bios files? I didn't even know you could do that.
  21. But they work in ePSXe with the same bios files. Unless ePSXe doesn't need bios files of course...
  22. Yup, I have all of them in there. Maybe I should reload the games or something? Any commands I need to enter?
  23. Ahhh ok, that's why I was confused. I watched your video (they're awesome by the way! Thank you so much for them!) and I didn't see you have anything in the command line. Again, thanks so much for your videos. They are absolutely amazing and immensely helpful. I've made a dedicated emulation PC as an inspiration from them!
  24. Hi there, For some reason, Retroarch through Launchbox will not open any of my PS1 games. When I double-click the game, nothing even opens. When I opened open Retroarch outside of Launchbox, the game doesn't open either. I've switched to ePSXe, but I like the Retroarch much better. I'm using Mednafen. Doesn't that emulator open .bin files? Am I using the wrong files? I've tried both .bin and .cue files and both don't work. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
