  1. Ah ok - so the default is to update all 157+ cores, not just the ones you have installed. Cool - Thanks for clarifying. I'll stick with the 'update installed cores' option within retroarch as I was. Thank you!
  2. Hope someone is still here - I just did it (had to run LB as admin) - and it updated ALL cores. all 157 cores. took a while. Can we make the default 'update installed cores only'. Seems excessive to update every single one. Is there a setting to make this change? Cheers
  3. Hi. Great work on the theme Faeran (and viking of course) Launchbox version: 11.17 Setup: Access Launchbox directory over NAS (QNAP) View: Below notes are in PlatformWheel2FiltersView Few (very minor) things from me. Sega Genesis background colour is not the same red as the colorful video colour No Scummvm colour assigned (uses default green) but I assume this is because there is no colorful video for SCUMMVM - A shame. Feel like having a crack at it @faeran? 😄 I know there's been a few requests! PSP icon default doesn't work with light/white background Platform view - videos take slightly longer to load/slide in than the original theme.
  4. Amazing videos! And another vote for Scummvm ?
  5. Fyi - noticed you missed the 'Windows' in the colour 'styles' document. So it just appears as the default green, you have to add the platform in manually to match the video's colour. Also SCUMMVM, which.....still needs a video *wink wink* *nudge nudge* ?
  6. Hi, on the latest version of both BannerBox (2.0) and LaunchBox (11.11) and the generated banner images are all blown up out of proportion (see screenshot). In the view with games names listed as text, the box art looks normal - all the other BannerBox views have the enlarged images. Which is also affecting the clear logo - which is covering other artefacts. I checked display scaling, and even at 100%, same result. Any ideas? Edit: Oh and yes I unblocked the zip file before copying it across.
  7. For me to get this to work without symbolic links, I added the NAS to my trusted sites. So: Windows key>Internet Options>Security>Local Intranet>Sites>Advanced>Add this website to the zone>"your nas">Add in my case I added "\\QNAP", it automatically changed to a file://qnap, but worked immediately.
  8. Thanks for the reply! 1. Yeah I had definitely checked that, also checked again, does not say blocked or anything. 2. Interesting, I actually AM using that plugin - so this got me excited. I deleted it completely, restarted/refreshed caches a few times, but still didn't work *sad face*. 3. RE the plug in. I had similar issues with the Bannerbox theme. It ended up being an issue with the way the plugin was forming path names when assembling them internally. Could it be similar thing here @eatkinola?
  9. Hi, hoping someone can offer assistance. For my PlatformWheel2FiltersView, it's not changing the background colour to match the corresponding video. See below for example of Atari. Every console has this issue. Everything else works fine. Note: I have tried both updating via the bigbox theme manager and via downloading from here (definitely unblocked zip file). I"m running on the latest version of Launchbox and v1.0 of Colorful - LIght (both dark and light exhibit the same behaviour. Finally (and potentially most important) - i'm running my launchbox set up from a NAS. Though strange that everything else works in the theme except the changing of the background colour. Thanks, this is my favourite theme.
  10. Yes it is the fix. Appears you didn't read the previous post haha?
  11. lol, don't worry, I've seen much dirtier work arounds. But yeah, I did all my usual stuff, not a single issue. Thanks to team Launchbox for all your hard work. Cheers
  12. @Jason Carr woot! You did it! 11.5 baby! Or...someone resolved it. Noting this in the changelog: Improvement: Better theme compatibility for installs that don't support symbolic links (such as on network drives or external drives running the exFAT file system). Not all themes are supported in this scenario, but theme support should be much improved. What was the fix?
  13. Ack. That's annoying. As you said, Launchbox is quite large if you include everything but the ROMs. I don't have large HDDs (ssds) on my PCs because HDDs fail. That's what NAS is for. To handle the redundancy - efficiently, instead of using workarounds like the above. I wonder if this is just so it can be compatible with Linux. Crazy that there's such a fundamental change with this release and the majority won't even know. I'm also surprised that network launching (eg from NAS) isn't supported, but Linux is. I actually thought it was. Shows how much I know! Ie nothing.
  14. Interesting, I have basically the same issue as @Kuro Houou, running over a NAS, but with standard Launchbox. It couldn't load the Launchbox theme (LBPlex) from the new core folder, so it hung for a bit then threw up an error basically saying the above, and loaded the default theme. I manually copied the files it was looking for into the core folder, that fixed the first issue, but then I tried to run a game and it didn't go anywhere - it was hitting the same issue trying to launch the game startup theme. So yeah, I just rolled back to 11.2. I'm not that technical, from reading the responses above, it appears as though there is (currently) no actual solution which will enable it to run (correctly) over a NAS without manually duplicating files or creating a sync. Sounds like your hand was forced, still a shame. I run it over NAS for the same reason as Kuro, I just double click the launchbox.exe from any computer on my network and boom! works a treat. Also great for end-to-end backups. Hopefully someone can come up with some genius hack to make it work. Or not, and I'll just wallow in my own self pity. #firstworldproblem. Peace.
