Version 20120223-000000
16 downloads
This small playlists contains all 18 of the 23 games that RetroArch/RetroAchievements supports for the Fairchild Channel F. Each game has the compatible version selected and all 18 have been opened in RetroArch to confirm it was recognized as having achievements. The set I used is based off the No-Intro 20120223-000000 DAT. The 5 games are missing from the playlist are all homebrew that aren't part of the latest No-Intro release. -

Playstation 1 Retroachievements Playlist - xml - clear logo - video

I tested this playlist with my full PS Redump set and have 482 total matches. The same issue as other playlists with this many unique copies of a game causes many entries to pick the wrong version of the game. I wish LaunchBox was better about preserving the intended version when sharing these. It wasn't hard to fix, but if I had to guess, 50 had to be fixed. I tested all games using the standalone DuckStation and 1 doesn't appear to be compatible with DuckStation; Harvest Moon: Back To Nature. Even if I had to fix some, the majority of the games you added to the playlist were at least visible so editing the game version was pretty quick. The ones I removed either required special patched versions of the game or are not official Redump releases. Thanks for sharing. -
You are out of luck if you converted your CD based games to CHD or RVZ. That is the main reason I keep everything in a format that I can scan even with the space and inconvenience hit in having to extract the game prior to running it. LaunchBox can extract them automatically before running the game and with the exception of a few platforms, it is pretty quick. If it is a game I run often, I'll convert it to CHD and point that one game to a special directory I keep those in and keep the original so I can audit it.

Sorry I missed the fact you said this was in Big Box. So can I assume everything is fine when you play your games? This really sounds like a refresh rate issue. What does your graphics driver report when you check? When I had this issue, it was slow in Big Box and every emulator I tried. Everything showed 30 Hz

I use a combination of 3. ClrMamePro: https://mamedev.emulab.it/clrmamepro/ I have used this for as long as I can remember. I tend to stick with it for MAME, however it will do any DAT. I avoid this for large ISOs such as PS2 since it can't handle decompressing very well and often will fail fixing issues. It is probably one of the easier ones to wrap your head around and is great for cartridge based consoles. ROMCenter: https://www.romcenter.com/ I moved to this one to deal with the above issue for CD based systems. I find this to be a bit buggy sometimes but does a decent job when it works. ROMVault: https://www.romvault.com/ I feel like this is where all the action is on the development side. There is a paid version that will maintain up to date DATs for you, but I'm just starting to migrate towards this for all things but MAME. It is different enough that I'm not the most comfortable with it yet, but I could see myself using this as my go to when I am. --- Speaking of DATs, these are all useless without them. You will use these in combination with one of the applications above to scan, rename, fix, remove duplicates, or rebuild sets to your liking. I recommend checking YouTube for various how to videos or reading through as much documentation before you begin. I highly recommend creating a backup of your files BEFORE you start because you can destroy things pretty easily if you don't know what you are doing. --- No-Intro handles cartridge based systems. Go here to get the needed DATs: https://datomatic.no-intro.org/index.php?page=download&s=64 Redump handles CD based systems. Go here for those: http://redump.org/downloads/ You can create your own DATs using ClrMamePro. It is built into the executable to generate one. You can also acquire one already made from many places you acquire the games from. I'm not aware of any place that hosts these specifically. Honorable mentions for TOSEC: https://www.tosecdev.org/downloads There are tons of systems not covered by the above and are handled by this group. I don't see a bunch of people looking for these games, but it is at least worthwhile knowing about them. For example, I use TOSEC for Spectrum games since what is covered in No-Intro is pretty small in comparison and I like Spectrum games. For information purposes only, there is/was a thing called Goodsets. I have no idea if anyone really manages this anymore. The sets were difficult to deal with because of all the garbage ROMs in each. Go here for more information if you are curious: https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/GoodTools --- Good luck and have fun.

A couple of notes after I imported this into my system. When I opened the file, I was showing 67 out of 71. I ran each game and made some notes for you as I fixed them on my end. These issues I don't think you can do anything about. For whatever reason LaunchBox sometimes picks a different version of the game. These are the ones I had to update. Jet Grind Radio defaulted to USA and needs to be Europe. Kidou Senshi Gundam: Renpou vs. Zeon & DX was defaulting to disc 1 instead of disc 2. PenPen defaulted to USA when it should be Europe. Power Stone defaulted to USA when it should be Europe. Skies of Arcadia defaulted to USA when it should be Europe. Soul Calibur defaulted to USA when it should be Europe. Space Channel 5 defaulted to USA when it should be Europe. Super Magnetic Neo defaulted to USA when it should be Europe. Here are some miscellaneous issue. Some are odd versions of the ISO that you would need to get achievements. One game was missing from your XML. See notes below. Frame Gride (Japan) needs patching for achievements. Kiss Psycho Circus was missing from your XML L.O.L. - Lack of Love wasn't coming up for me. Looking at your XML I see it in there but you have a TOSEC version selected. There is a Redump version that works. I had to remove Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X | BIOHAZARD CODE: Veronica Kanzenban. Your XML has Europe selected but that won't work. I have a complete set of Redump releases that is current and no version I have works. Space Channel 5 Part 2 (Japan) requires a translation patch. Thanks for putting this out since it saved me time building mine. This may or may not be a useful comment to anyone, but wanted to document some of the quirks of importing someone else's list. I have been uploading a ton of them and I can imagine others will probably have some of the same issues with mine. -

Sega Genesis RetroAchievements Support View File This playlists contains 364 games RetroArch / RetroAchievements supports for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive. Each game has the compatible version selected and all 364 have been opened in RetroArch to confirm it was recognized as having achievements. The set I used is based off the No-Intro 20221214-091705 DAT. No hacks or subset versions are included. I am using a pure No-Intro set to build this playlist. Here are some notes of issues I have found. Alter Ego - Homebrew: ROM included with No-Intro is incompatible. Cave Story - Homebrew: Missing from No-Intro set. CrazyBus - Homebrew: Missing from No-Intro set. Flappy Bird - Homebrew: Missing from No-Intro set. Mega Flappy Sis - Homebrew: Missing from No-Intro set. Angry Birds in Russia - Unlicensed: Missing from No-Intro set. Angry Birds Star Wars - Unlicensed: Missing from No-Intro set. Barbarian: The Ultimate Warrior - Unlicesned: Version from No-Intro is not compatible. Felix the Cat - Unlicensed: Missing from No-Intro set. LEGO Batman - Unlicensed: Missing from No-Intro set. Mario 3: Around the World - Unlicensed: Missing from No-Intro set. Mario 4: A Space Odyssey - Unlicensed: Missing from No-Intro set. Plants vs. Zombies - Unlicensed: Missing from No-Intro set. Super Mario World 64 - Unlicesned: Missing from No-Intro set. Bram Stoker's Dracula (USA): Invalid Field in Leaderboard. Light Crusdader: Requires Debug Patch NFL Quarter Back Club (World): Listed as working on RetroAcheivements site but no achievements are triggering. Pit Figther (Beta) is required. I decided to keep this one in the list. I am not quite sure what the difference is between "world" and "beta", but either way I am sure it isn't good. Shadow of the Beat is listed twice on RetroAchievements. Shadow of the Beast and Shadow of the Beast: Mashou no Okite. Since both versions are grouped toghether in LaunchBox, only the USA version has been selected. Streets of Rage 3 instead of Bare Knuckle III. Bare Knuckle is the better of the two, but opted for the USA set since they are grouped together and not sure what the target audience would prefer. Sylvester and Tweety in Cagey Capers: Requires Cheat Protection Patch Tougi-Ou: King Colossus: Needs a GoodSet english translation version. Twinkle Tale: Requires a patched ROM. There are a few odds and ends that need more research, but there is nothing that I think anyone will miss. Consider this a work in progress nonetheless. Hope you enjoy.
