Fantastic theme. This is my new default and look forward to any refinements that get added.
  1. I know right clicking the main arcade set should give you the option to create the missing playlists. I recall "vertically oriented games" as one of the options when mine was recently rebuilt. Maybe this will work for you? I don't think it will matter than you renamed your MAME set differently doing it that way.
  2. This might not exactly be what you are after, but when I imported my Super Famicom English Translated ROMs, I typed in "Super Famicom" as the platform I was importing and chose SNES as my "Scrape As" option. Super Famicom is not a listed system so it needs to be told how it needs to be treated. Those all were imported fine and images were downloaded pretty successfully.
  3. One thing I would keep in mind when deciding your ideal setup is how much space LaunchBox will eat up as well. Video, images, manuals, and music have a way of creeping up on you especially if you are getting them from EmuMovies and LB. Just those 4 directories on my setup have nearly 500GB devoted to them. Your mileage will vary depending on how many systems you import, but they add up fast.
  4. If you are already familiar with Clrmamepro, then you can use just about any sort of DAT to rename or rebuild your sets. No-Intro DATs should cover the majority of the non optical media systems: https://datomatic.no-intro.org/index.php?page=download&s=64 Redump should handle the majority of optical systems: http://redump.org/downloads/ Without knowing exactly what systems you are trying to cleanup, those two are probably the most common.
  5. I just wanted to say great work with this release! The speed increase with media downloads is fantastic. Night and day difference.
  6. I would suggest just downloading it and giving it a try. If I recall correctly, the only limitation is how many tracks you can import so the free version should give you an idea of how well it will fit your needs. I bought it a couple of years ago knowing it wasn't ready for prime time for my use case, however I wanted to support the developers since it has potential. There isn't a BigBox type interface, so expect an earlier LaunchBox style interface since that is what it seems to be based on.
  7. I don't hide games. I'll hide the occasional BIOS if its showing up but that is it. I didn't even have the opportunity to do anything with the PS2 and 3DS.Both of them followed the same pattern. Import around 1/3 of the images/ROMs to get the ball rolling. Prepare the next 1/3 or so and then scan for added ROMs. Each time I did that a certain percentage would get stuck and say over an over they were ready to import and then not import. The ROM did not import and the ROM was not already there. I'm not sure why it would ignore a USA version of a game when there was only a EUR or JPN imported. I gave up trying to locate some of them due to language variations I couldn't locate. Wasn't returning in search, but its possible the name was so different I couldn't locate it. Regardless, a full wipe and import corrected the behavior. Doesn't seem like this would be by design, but if it is, this thread might be useful to someone else having the same issue.
  8. I ran across the same issue as I was updating my 3DS set. This does seem to be a bug with the scan for added ROMs function not being able to handle merging with existing variations correctly. I went ahead and deleted both sets completely from LB and imported in full and the problem is gone. I'm not sure if this issue will come back up if I add any missing ROMs in the future, but for now at least all the games have been loaded.
  9. Any suggestion on how to proceed? Due to the sheer size, I originally imported this set one letter of the alphabet at a time. As I downloaded one, I used the scan for added ROMs and moved on to the next letter. Would wiping out the imported and doing a full import again in one shot possibly work? It may not be as painful as it once was with all the speed improvements to the download process recently added.
  10. That is the first thing I checked. Here are a few random samplings from that screen capture. Looking for Deadly Skies III returns one result and its not the game in the list. Air Ranger Rescue Helicopter is there, however its the European version and not the Japanese one I want to import. I have the North American version of Dororo, but not the 2 Japanese versions in the list. Burnout Revenge returns no results. I have been piecing together my PS2 set for some time now and these specific games always show up along with the other titles that will import just fine. I'm done with the set now and it doesn't matter how many times I try, it goes through the motion as if these will import but will say 0 import each time.
  11. Why would I rename the files? These have been scanned, matched and automatically renamed using the latest Redump DAT file and CLRMamePro. I have over 10K PS2 games that are named the exact same way that have imported fine.
  12. I'm using the scan for added PS2 games option. Each time I run this, there is always ~100 ish games that go through the steps of importing, however when its done saving the records it will say 0 files imported. Is this a known issue? Is there a way for these to get imported so they stop showing as new? Its a tiny percentage overall, but would like to get it corrected if possible.
  13. If there is anything else I can provide that will help track down the issue, I am more than happy to get it for you. I play on my cabinet daily and I can't remember the last time it was up and running the following day. I had tried moving from Windows 10 to 11 as a last resort, but alas that didn't help. I really didn't expect it to, but it was worth a shot.
  14. There really isn't much more. 2 hours before the .net error is a rather generic entry. Successfully scheduled Software Protection service for re-start at 2122-01-19T06:39:15Z. Reason: RulesEngine. This is all I'm seeing.
  15. There are 3 clustered together. All the ones I can find look very similar to what is below. --- Application: BigBox.exe CoreCLR Version: 4.700.20.51601 .NET Core Version: 3.1.10 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. 16. I came here to log the exact same issue and stumbled up this post. My arcade cabinet runs 24/7 and only contains the software necessary to run the games within BigBox. 50/50 on if BigBox will be running when I go out to play a game. Sometimes it will be on the Windows desktop with no error or I'll see an error message about running out of memory. Almost seems like it has a memory leak if you leave it running in attract mode for too long. This arcade cabinet has 16GB of RAM and will crash in about 2 days. This started happening to me about 4 months ago. I can't really pinpoint what release it started with, but this is fairly new and a new install is having the same issue.
  17. They need to show present within Retroarch as stated above. If you are getting the error you stated, either the file isn't in the system directory or the file you have doesn't match the MD5 Retroarch core is expecting.
  18. Confirmed that this works perfectly now. Really appreciate getting this fixed.
  19. The only playlists I'm using are the auto generated ones and I'm using the default values. I have roughly 60 platforms configured with ~43000 total games. On my desktop, I'm running a... i7-11700KF @ 3.6GHz 32GB of RAM Windows 11 Home RTX 3070 Windows is up to date along with all drivers. I'm running vanilla LB and BB on both machines.
  20. If that is the case, I would love to have some idea what it is. I have made 0 changes to my arcade cabinet in over a year besides upgrading LB. It used to work flawlessly and it doesn't now. That is intentional since stability is my main point of concern with that install over everything else. My desktop however I keep everything up to date. Emulators. ROMs. Media. I did not copy the install from my desktop to my arcade cabinet. These are two independent installs that have reached the same conclusion. Since yesterday I have tested my arcade cabinet and it too works worse if I change the resolution to 1080p. It just doesn't feel like a configuration issue since the problem isn't with any emulation, but rather with LB itself and basic navigation.
  21. For me this was not the case. When I started (or noticed) to have the issue was after the latest upgrade and doing a scan of removed and added ROMs. The hard drive did not have a chance to spin down because I started a new scan a few seconds after the first task completed which forced me to use the menu indicated. Yesterday while making the above observations, the hard drive was active as well. I have a desktop and an arcade cabinet with pretty similar hardware. The same 32" monitors on both running at the same resolution and both have the exact same issue. Only major difference between the two is the desktop has a GTX3070 and the arcade cabinet a 2060. My desktop is running the entire setup from a WD elements. My arcade cabinet has the LB installation and emulators on a 2TB SSD while all the games are on a 8TB WD elements. When running LB on my arcade cabinet I have the same issue though most of the time its using BigBox and that seems to work fine. I don't know if the issue started prior to this exact version we are on now since I was 2 or 3 minor versions behind since I had been ignoring the upgrade prompt I think since 12.3. I also had been been primarily using BigBox prior to that for a good 6 months but I would have complained then if this was happening to me at the time but I don't recall any issues for the past few years with the same hardware.
  22. For me, this is the menu I have noticed the problem with. I did try changing my display to 1920x1080 and the problem gets much much worse. At this moment in time, 2560x1440 is taking about 1 second to open. If I change it to 1920x1080 its about 10 full seconds. Changing it back increases the speed back to 1 second. Its strange that it seems to be running fine until its not and the only way to correct it seems to be to close out and start over. I just tested this menu element while I was in 1080 and I have the same problem there too. View and Tools both are the slowest to open of the bunch at maybe 7 seconds? Changing it back to 1440 is working at the moment but not sure for how long. Right clicking a category seems fine either way.
  23. I am experiencing the same issue. It seems to get worse the longer I use the application. It is currently taking 5 to 7 seconds to open the menu. If I keep clicking it will sometimes open faster and the menu will layer on top of one another briefly. I have a similar setup to you. Resolution is the same, however I'm at 165hz. I did try running at 60hz and that didn't solve the issue so I changed it back. I don't have a fix, but wanted to let you know you aren't alone with the problem.
  24. Something has always bothered me and I'm not quite sure if the problem is coming from Big Box, one of the other listed apps, or maybe just is unsupported but hopefully someone knows. As you scroll through Big Box, the Pixelcade updates to show a matching marquee. No problem here. The problem is when BB goes into attract mode. The Pixelcade sticks on whatever last marquee was used. Is it possible to get the Pixelcade to update as Big Box chooses the next game to display in attract mode? I have a feeling its Big Box since the Pixelcade will resume displaying the correct marquee the second you move the joystick and it picks the next game in the list. Anything I can do here?
