Hi guys, So I'm using the COLORFUL - Light theme and I love it. I have been adding lots of playlists with COLORFUL videos (I even made some myself). I also made hardware set png's similar to the platform png's that show before you select one and that slides to the right, into the video. One thing that was bugging me though, was that for most playlists the color of the menu defaulted to green instead of matching my beautiful videos. I found out you can add some text with color codes for all of your playlists to the PlatformWheel1FiltersView.xml file in the /Themes/COLORFUL - Light/Views/ folder, but having to do that for dozens of playlists (even when using an online color picker) seemed like way too much work. So, I turned to ChatGPT. Long story short, here's a PYTHON SCRIPT that you put in your /Videos/Playlists/ folder together with a template.txt file. Change the path in the script to your own path. Then, when you run the script from terminal, it should automatically detect the main color of your videos and add an entry for those playlists in a freshly generated output.txt file. You can copy the generated text from that file (each entrt starts with <DataTrigger Binding= and end with </DataTrigger> into your PlatformWheel1FiltersView.xml file (look for the place where your other playlists are summed up with RGB hex codes and paste it in the end there, right before the </Style.Triggers> part). It might not work right away. Obviously, you need Python installed. Also, you might need to install some additional modules (especially OpenCV seems to be stubborn). In that case, just tell ChatGPT the error you get and it will tell you what to install via terminal and how to. I even ended up uploading my PlatformWheel1FiltersView.xml file just to find out that I needed to replace all the & signs in the xaml file to & just something you need to know. Should you use other special characters, change them to HTML-code! I ran the script with this command: & "C:\Users\Joffr\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python311\python.exe" "F:\LaunchBox\Videos\Playlists\PlatformWheel1FiltersView.xml\Video Color Replacer.py" and it worked (I put my script into a subfolder). ALSO, VERY IMPORTANT: MAKE A BACK-UP OF YOUR XAML FILE BEFORE CHANGING ANYTHING BECAUSE YOU MIGHT FUCK IT UP 😅

3. I found out the background remover was too agressive in some of the images (Kirby for example) so I redid like 21 of them with this other program and added an altrnative Final Fantasy one. I just posted an updated zip file to include the new PNG's.

So I have been enjoying the COLORFUL (light) theme a lot and lately I have been adding tons of Playlist to my LB setup. I enjoy the official COLORFUL Playlist videos and have been adding some non-official ones from the LB forum as well (especially from here, here and here) Because in my platforms menu I really enjoy the animation where the console slides to the right, into the playlist video, I decided to create png files for in the 'hardware set' folder of LB/BB (location: \LaunchBox\Themes\COLORFUL - Light\Media\Hardware Set). I used a batch file (send me a message if you want the script) to make a screenshot of the first frame of all the videos I had with FFMPEG and then used the website BgEraser to remove the background (in batches of 20 but totally free at excellent quality). For your ease, I also uploaded the files here but this method doesn't require a lot of time and your Playlist menu will look even better for it! I hope I helped someone with this post 🙂

6. I finally found a way to make them myself. Not that hard, actually! Find a nice image (preferably PNG) of one of the game character or something, if needed use a website like PhotoRoom to delete the background (unfortunately it exports to 1280x720 but oh well). Then, use another website like Visual Paradigm Online to add a nice shadow to the PNG you made. Then make a 1920x1080 paint file and use the bucket to add a background color, paste over the PNG (resize that one as much as needed) and then save. Find a nice OST of the game on YouTube and use a website (google it because not fully legal) to download the audio file. Then use a video editor like ClipChamp (free) or Movavi (I have paid version) to merge the PNG wallpaper and the downloaded audio file and make the image show for as long as the audio file plays. Cut the audio file if needed (sometimes OST's have multiple songs and are way too long when downloaded. Then save to the playlist video folder. See here for the first few that I made (I made these because I couldn't find anything for these playlists online). Now just to find out how to match the color of the menu with the chosen background color in the COLORFUL - LIGHT theme that I use. For example. with a downloaded video with orange background color (Assassins Creed Collection) the theme shows orange elements. But for loads of other playlist the menu just shows a green color, even if I made the background blue or red for example... Anyone have any ideas? Do I have to edit the theme for this or is there an easier way to change the menu color setting per playlist? 7. I also really long for this feature. It is sooooo annoying to find out a game is missing some art and then having to switch to desktop mode to be able to fix it! It would be awesome to be able to do this from Big Box. What would also be amazing is -for missing art- the option to download images from the internet directly instead of having to do this via the browser first.
8. I really really like this theme. It's simple but sleek. The only reason I cannot use it 'as is', is that when I try to put different device PNG images into the Themes/Images/Platforms/Devices folder, they don't get picked up by my Big Box. For some reason it did find the "Sega Triforce.png" after changing it from "Triforce.png", but adding new images or changing images to custom names like "Capcom Classics" (which one of the platforms is called in my setup) doesn't make them show up... Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong?

Love it but missing Xbox, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch and Pokemon Mini banners. Tried to make my own but failing miserably haha.
10. Could this maybe have something to do with the DPI settings?
11. Hello everyone, I really love LaunchBox and especially Big Box, because I use my PC with a controller from the couch in my living room. However, I'm experiencing an issue. I usually launch Big Box through Steam Big Picture Mode, so I can use my Steam controller. With some emulators (CEMU for example), things are fine and dandy, but there are also a couple of emulators (for example all of the NES emulators) that lose their focus to Big Box immediately after starting a rom. Getting up and going upstairs to press ALT+TAB on my keyboard is very annoying and my remote control unfortunately does not have a TAB button... I could use a mobile app (Unified Remote) to regain focus to the emulator, but that is not ideal too. I end up just starting Big Box without Steam, and using my old Xbox 360 controller. Things work fine, then. Any ideas on how to fix this or any ideas for a workaround? Is there a way to map ALT+TAB to my controller (controller automation), like how I press two buttons at the same time to close my emulator? Thanks!
12. After deleting the other video scraper plugin (GetSnaps from Ize) it worked. Thanks.
13. I have also tried changing the folder name but that didn't work. Trying the 0.0.8 version now.
14. Nice work man! The new version 0.0.7 seems to crash my Launchbox though, even after unblocking the dll's... :-(
