By machjas# What is it?
Clear Logos I created for myself to use with my Playlists categories
I modified a music playlist icon and created custom icons for each - the font is based on the Famicom Disk System logo.
It's simple, uniform, fairly minimalistic, and to the point. I'll likely end up creating more as I work my way through my structure, so if you dig it, keep an eye out!
By KlopjeroHi, Submitting this clear logo that I made for my cabinet. enjoy
By ZkyoI couldn't decide on a clear logo set to use for my root & all games folders, so I made one. I've included several categories and genres, along with an alphabet sheet if you want to make your own words.

By machjasBy far my largest contribution to date..
This set of Clear Logos was designed to work in conjunction with Dan Patrick's Platform Logos (found here), using a subset of these logos, and a font matching (or at least super close to) what he used in his own Playlist images. The intention was to stay simple and keep it consistent above all else.
This collection is available in 3 Styles:
Dark - Best used with Light Themes
Light - Best used with Dark Themes
Outline - Designed to read well regardless of Light or Dark theming.
The Playlists available for each Platform are:
Official Releases - Games released during the lifespan of the platform
Aftermarket Releases - Games released after the platform's lifecycle (homebrew, indie releases, etc)
Favorites - For games marked as favorites
Translations - Translated games
Unreleased Games - Games developed and intended to be released during a platform's lifecycle, but no official release
Hacked Games - Hacked games!
Finally, there are currently 73 Platforms covered in each set:
Massive thanks to @Dan Patrick in all sincerity, for the countless hours he put in on these logos to begin with.
I also wanted to thank @faeran - Even though we've never had any direct communication (that I'm aware of, at least), I learned a lot about theming and media by reading his posts and watching his theming videos on YouTube.
Enjoy! I hope the community can make use of this, and I'm always open to suggestions, ideas and any way I can improve my work.
simple logo to be used, I have not found any with this subject.
Just copy in the appropriate "clear Logo" playlist folder

By machjasHello, all!
I recently decided to overhaul my Launchbox setup, and rework it to incorporate Aftermarket Releases in a way the makes more sense.
I decided on two primary categories - Official Releases and Aftermarket Releases: Official Releases are pretty much what you would expect. Aftermarket Releases then goes on to Hacked Games, Original Games, Translations, and Unreleased Games - I wrote up descriptions to accompany each subcategory (also included in txt files). I included a screenshot of my Platform Categories to help make sense of it.
Once I decided on that, I set out to find Clear Logos to match, and either struck out, or what I'd seen wasn't fitting with the rest of my system, so I decided to make my own cohesive set that also included your standard Favorites, Collections and Playlists
These clear logos and descriptions are meant to be platform agnostic so that I could use them for every platform in my collection that has these aftermarket releases.
I created a clear logo for my isometric RPG's playlist.
and I'm sharing it here.
I created this clear logo for my History of 3d shooters playlist.
I'm quite happy with the result so I decided I'd upload it to the site so the community could have it too.
By The PapawThis is a MASSIVE collection of clear logos focusing on Genres (categories) and with some Collections included. There is a download pack for 40 different platforms. There are 1000'S of clear logos in this collection. They work fine with all the available themes that I've tried. There is a separate download pack for each platform. Each downloaded zip contains 2 folders (one is a folder with the clear logos which is pretty much a drag-n-drop thing, the 2nd is a folder with matching playlists (auto-generated) if you wish to try them, (keep in mind the playlists are far from perfect and still being updated), along with Readme.txt that explains where everything goes. I was inspired to do this when I switched to the Retro Console Theme by cemfundog and some logo work done by scooter1974. It got me started when I wanted to create a couple for myself and well, that couple just keeps growing now.... Thanks to both of you for your help.
Per request, I added the complete set in a single file called for easier downloading. It contains everything that's in all the individual downloads. (it is the very last file in the downloads or use the link)
Complete Collection v4.1.1.zip (at the bottom of the list)
You can get the matching videos here:
Extreme Gamer Collection (works with COLORFUL and most other themes) Ultimate Playlist Beginner Setup Guide & Starter Collection (with New Video Sets, smaller in size and easier to download) Massive #1 - 100's of Videos that match these clear logos - The screenshots above are NOT using the matching videos Massive #2 - Another set of almost 500 genre/category Videos that match these - Cemfundog and I collaborated on this and using his design I created these to go with his animated Retro Console Theme v2. TV Commercial Platform Videos Download Retro Console Theme: Retro Console Theme or Retro Console Theme V2
These logos really pop if you set BigBox to use Platform Categories as the view. Of course, the better your genres are defined, the better your playlists (and logos) will work for you. That's why I included my matching playlists to help you get started if you have been putting it off like I did for years..haha. Make copies or backups of your files (the one mentioned in the Readme) then you can try these and if you don't like them, you can delete them and easily put things back like you had them.
As it stands right now, there are close to 20,000 files in the collection. If you are working with limited storage space, you can always download the systems you need, pick out the ones you want to use and delete the rest.
Each system download has the same content concerning the genres/categories, meaning if one system has a clear logo for "Baseball", every system will have a clear logo for "Baseball. I done it this way so if you add a new game and you choose a new genre for it that is new to your setup, and the genre files have already been installed from here, they will be picked up automatically for you. (If I create a new category, genre or collection, it will be added it to all the systems.)
Concerning the Play Mode images: I have tried to make all the images that pertain to the # of players, local, online, single player, multiple player, local co-op, split screen, 2-Player Alternating, etc., specific to each individual platform. Like the Xbox 360 images have 360 controllers on them or the Wii U images have a Wii U on one side and the Wii U Controller on the other. Just a added touch. All systems will play mode images for up to 8 players (starting in version 2) in both Simultaneous and Alternating, so I tried to fit many different setups, as we all have have different likes.
My objective it to finish through my library with the genres I have, then I will either begin all over again maybe focusing on Collections I have or try to make matching video snaps, not sure yet.
I will try to accept requests now for other genres/categories....I ask you be patient as I am only one old feller and I'll do the best I can. PLEASE keep requests to things that will have at least 5-10 games that will pertain to it. I am trying to focus it around single word genre/categories best I can.
This is a work-in-progress and on-going I'm sure. The better the metadata, the better searches and organization it makes.
Here are the systems included so far: (Updated to v4 on 06-15-20)
Microsoft Xbox 360
Nintendo Entertainment System
Nintendo Game Boy Advance
Nintendo Game Boy Color
Nintendo Wii U
Sega Game Gear
Sharp X68000 - NEW
SNK Neo Geo AES
SNK Neo Geo Pocket Color
Sony Playstation 2
Sony Playstation 3
Sony Playstation 4 (no playlists) - New emulators are starting to show progress now so just preparing
Super Nintendo Entertainment System
Feel free to leave comments, questions and suggestions and I will get back as soon as I can.
By RetroNiI have created playlist clear logo sets, which I have based on the logo font for each system.
I had to create entire fonts and edit other fonts to resemble the logo font for many of the systems.
Each set contains a black, white and a colour version of clear logos for the following...
Playlists logos include:
Genres logos include:
Regions logos include:
Years logos include:
Not every platform category\playlist will utilize every logo depending on your build.
I have used the same naming system thats used in the Unified Theme. So I would suggest verifying the playlist/platform names before dropping them into your images folder... as some may differ from user to user and wrongly named files will not show up in BigBox.
If you do have different platform names you can use Bulk Rename Utility to rename them quick and easy.
How to add them to LaunchBox.
Drag and drop the Platform Categories and the Playlists folders into the Launchbox Images folder. Launch BigBox and go into -> Options -> Image Cache and Refresh Platform Wheel Images.
Here's links to all the fonts and .psd templates i used to make these for anyone who wants to create their own missing playlist logos.
By sundogakThere have been user requests in Vikings original silver ring thread asking for arcade hardware board rings. Although I personally do not go to this level of granularity, I thought it would be easier for folks to find/download if they were all in one place. This is by no means all boards since there are big chunks as can been seen by this site that are not included or only a few, notably Sega and NAMCO. For that reason, I have also attached the PSD base file for those that may want to generate their own but use same background/style. There is also a category level logo "Arcade System" that have included if want to use as parent level.
I cannot take any credit for the platform logos used in these rings, those were done by others, some on this site, as well as around the web.
To make this easier to read have collapsed each major grouping
Capcom Boards (13 Boards)
Exidy Boards (6 Boards)
IREM Boards (15 Boards)
Midway Boards (8 Boards)
Taito Boards (41 Boards)
Other/Misc Boards (13 Boards) - Sega, AAE, Brezzasoft, Konami, MSX, Nintendo, PsiKYO
By sundogakHere was some logos I did for user request in this thread for some Zen Pinball category playlist logos. There are versions for FX2 and FX3.

By sundogakThese are some quick logos I have for my system for the new LB controller support feature. These use the same naming convention that LB uses for the category level:
Gamepad Joystick Keyboard Light Gun Motion Controller Mouse Paddle Rhythm Trackball VR Wheel/Yoke A few alts were included with slightly different naming for the category level ring and:
Controller Category and Controller Support Joystick (2 variations with different icons) Mouse & Keyboard Paddle (a grayscale version of the paddle icon) Spinner Touchscreen Wheel/Yoke (uses a Yoke icon) Wheel
By machjasCreated using the Silver Ring template made available by @viking
I use "Homebrew" as a platform category in Launchbox to encompass OpenBOR, MUGEN, as well as mods, hacks and fan-made content for other consoles. I spent hours looking, but could not, for the life of me, find a silver ring clear logo that just said "Homebrew" so I made one! I created this using the logo for the Wii's "The Homebrew Channel" as a nod to my first console softmod back in the day.
I hope someone finds this handy!
By Yorrick36Clear logos for my most general playlists in my platform category hierarchy. I plan on adding more downline logos as they are made.
By buxilaksThis set is intended to be used with the Sega Game Gear Platform video.
Use the simple logo-file for your new Sega Game Gear Micro platform.
Then use the pictures of each of the consoles as clear logo files for each of the playlists you create.

By edgemundoCollection of 100+ Genre/playlists logos i created to go with Mr. Laor's Unified Refried Genre Videos/Logos/Backgrounds pack.
By Yorrick36I've recently been clarifying and curating the genre list in my collection to be as intuitive as possible. I eventually simplified it down to 21 categories where each game had 1 genre. Problem is, when it was time to check out the playlist I made, many did not have a clear logo. I decided to try my hand at making some! The idea was to take an iconic game logo/boxart/title screen and turn it into the genre logo. This is my first time taking on a project like this, so comments and criticism is more than welcome!
