I can't check this at the moment but after you delete the image, you have to refresh the image cache (in BigBox options), and that should remove it permanently, otherwise that platform banner may be residing elsewhere, such as the "default" theme folder. However, the method you mentioned is another good alternative

I did refresh the image cache but those pesky little buggers kept coming back. I did not find them in another location but they very well may have been elsewhere as you said.

  2. Finally got it the way I want it. Just in case anyone else wishes to do this and stumbles across this thread I'll say how I did it.

Firstly, unfortunately you cannot simply delete the banner images from their respective folders because when you start BigBox up again it automatically downloads them again (you think you are SO clever BigBox!) I also attempted to delete the banner option from the BigBox files, but again to no avail. I might be incorrect, but it appears you cannot do it. So what I did was make sure I had the 16:9 videos in LaunchBox\Themes\Default\Videos\Platforms. Then create a blank transparent .png file the appropriate banner size and replace all the images in LaunchBox\Images\Platforms\Atari Lynx\Banner for example. Then go to BigBox > Options > Views > Background Fade (set it to 0%).

    Thanks for the help.

Can't give you a complete tutorial or anything of that nature.

Yeah tutorial was the wrong word as that conjures images of a full fledged, tutorial, haha.

But what you should do first, is put the videos in the folder -> videos / platforms /.  Then make sure that the video is named exactly the same as the platform (Nintendo Entertainment System). Then, in BIgBox options, go to "videos" and make sure that "Use platform background videos" is checked.

Yes that all worked great thank you.

Then you should be ready to go

I got rid of the platform detail that were on the screen, now I just have to find where in BigBox to get rid of the image still remaining in the foreground as shown in the attached screenshot. Would you happen to know?

  4. I had a dog and his name was BINGO! It is annoying when you find out something that seems so easy, but then again most things are easy after you know. Thank you very much CDBlue, I have learned something new and am back on track again. Also, thank you neil9000 for your reply. May I say I have been tickled pink at the apparent niceness and helpfulness of this community.

  5. Thank you for the reply CDBlue. I have attached screenshot of the NEC TurboGrafx-16. As you can see instead of the game-play footage playing inside the TV and console picture it is covering the entire right side of the screen. I wonder if the 'problem' is just because when you go to Tools > Download Platform/Playlist Theme Videos in LaunchBox the Nostalgia 4:3 is not available for that system as an option. I have just added the Mattel Intellivision and it is doing the same thing and coincidentally it is the only other system I've added thus far that does not have the Nostalgia 4:3 available as an option. I have had to rename artwork to match what the systems are called to get things working. I have become okay with navigating around the folders though as I said I am unable to locate where the images of the systems with TV's next to them are in my LaunchBox folder, it is the only thing I cannot find in my LaunchBox folder.I have also refreshed all my image cache, but does not work.

  6. Hi, I am new to LaunchBox/BigBox and this is my first post. I am using this beautiful theme and it has all worked out perfect except for one thing. I am using Platform view 2 which says it is specially designed for the 4:3 video set. Only thing is the NEC TurboGrafx-16 system and TV set photo/picture does not show. Instead the system sample games video displays across the whole area where the system and TV picture should display. I try and work everything out myself but for the life of me I am unable to find where the images of the systems along with their chosen TV pictures are in my entire LaunchBox folder(s), can anyone point me in the correct direction? Thank you in advance.
