Themes Not Switching Problem

Hi I have been using Launchbox for a while now and have not been able to switch to any of the themes in BigBox for some reason. It's a real bummer can anyone help me fix this problem? Maybe a bug or configuration problem?

It has been broken for a whole bunch of versions and I am on the most current version now which is 7.9

Ok, obvious question first have you downloaded any other themes, and unzipped them into the theme folder?

No but I tried to use the one that comes with it besides the default theme but it does not work. I will try to unzip a new theme and see if that jogs it to start working correctly.. by default it will not use the one that comes with it though..

How are you trying to use it? All you need to do is go to options/views highlight the one that says default and hit enter or A on the gamepad to switch to the other theme.

No luck, I tried unzipping and selecting RetrAO_Cafe_v1.6.1 but it will not switch themes. Am I missing something maybe in the options?

I would hate to have to reinstall my whole setup again..

OK, calm down you will not have to reinstall your whole setup. Your setup works right? no issues there, and the fact that bigbox works at all means that themes are working. So its a different issue.

Have you changed the theme by clicking on Views then clicking on themes then each subsequent click changes to a new theme see screenshot

Right your theme name should not look like that at all, I'm going to attach 2 pics to demonstrate.

Have you made sure that the theme you unzipped itself was not inside the folder you unzipped, if it is you need to take it out of that folder

ok Cool, Got it, it works now, the name was wrong, it was inside of another folder when I unzipped it I had to copy the folder and it worked fine. Thank You!

Sometime themes come in a folder inside a folder you unzip as the creator might have placed a read me or fonts etc in there for you to install.  Always read the installation read me where you download the theme.

@neil9000 Was no plug its my daughters favorite theme, i let her choose the theme
