angelobodetti
Anyone using bin files (without a cue) for PS2 roms? I usually have ISOs but just got bout 900 roms and most are in gz format (which is a compression) and some are in bin. I tested a few bin and they load. Does anyone use bin files regularly without a cue? It will save me a TON of time to just use bin and not convert to ISO if I don't need to. Lordmonkus
Some of my PS2 stuff is just a single .bin file, PCSX2 is fine with them.
SentaiBrad
Yea, PS2 games don't require a cue sheet. All mine are CSO's now, but before they were bin, iso, mds, what ever it was.

SentaiBrad
Yes, a lot. Use MaxCSO from the PCSX2 developers and it can save you a ton of space.
spectral
It really depends how many games you have. It doesn't knock a massive amount off most games(although some its a huge amount). However given most of us will most likely have a fairly large collection all the little bits add up. For me it saved in the region of 200GB. There are also some games that dont work as well compressed, the GTA games for example. SentaiBrad
The GTA Games on PSP don't work well in a CSO. I don't know if that's the case for the PS2 games, but it would make sense. Those games are in a league of their own in terms of how far it pushed their respective systems.

Hi, just downloaded MaxCSO from gifhub yesterday (tried both 64 and 32 versions) and no way they run on my PC. Is there any other source or preset I may be missing? I basically want to convert ps2 games in bin files into CSO but I guess this is also applicable to PSP conversions. Thanks.
