Wanted new feature

I also use Retropie for my Raspberry Pi3 and they have recently introduced a really great feature

its a favorites' catagory

it allows you to add any game from any system to be stored in a favourites

This already exists but a little different than you might be thinking.

First off of course there are favourites that will show at the top of your games lists when you view a platform.

But secondly and how I think you are wanting is by using the Playlists feature. Simply create a new playlist and auto populate it with games tagged as a favourite.

You can tell how you want the games sorted using the Sort Games BY dropdown menu, platform, title or several other options.

Here you can see all you need to auto-populate it with, just use the Favorite field and True.

Here's my Favourites playlist sorted by Title.

Now any time you tag a new game as a Favourite it will be added to this playlist automatically.

Everything LordMonkus just said.....and you can add games to your Playlist "on the fly" in BigBox. That is something you cannot do as effortlessly in other front ends.

I will have a go but as you already know I am a bit thick

how do you do it in bigbox on the fly then ?

and does that mean list does not exist in launchbox ?

In BigBox if you have the Game Detail screen set to show it will give you an option to "Add to Playlist". The list does exist in Launchbox. It will append the playlist when you add a new game to one of your playlists while in BigBox.

Right click on a game in Launcbox and choose add to playlist, then new playlist.

Right clicking and adding a game to a playlist is the manual way to do it and the way I described originally was the auto generated playlist method.

Two different methods depending on how you wanted to do it.
