arcade import not showing last "avoid clones etc." screen anymore?

Hi guys,

I had to rebuild my LB library from scratch lately and did import my mame 0.194 merged set. 

Thing is, I usually had a last "screen" with several checkboxes allowing me to avoid importing clones, etc. 

This screen doesn't shown anymore and I now end up with all these terrible clones, adult games, gamble games etc. (8500+ games in total). 

Any clue how I can fix this ?

I assume you are not using MAME as the emulator? That screen only shows by default if you choose MAME as the emulator. However you can still use the MAME importer with another emulator, on the last screen of the wizard is a "force importing as MAME for emulators that use MAME data" check that box and the screen will show regardless of the emulator you chose.

hi neil9000, indeed, as I reinstalled everything from scratch, I've chose "retroarch" as emu and was planning to either use retroarch for easiness of config, or either mame that i would have confgured later.

Yeah that's fine to use retroarch, just make sure you check that box in the wizard and the screen will still show regardless of emulator choice.

Yeah, I believe that if core mame2016 is used, there are not SO much games not working. And at least it's easy peazy to configure the controls etc. only need to do it once (laziness inside)...

Just use the core called "MAME" this is the current version of MAME and is updated monthly just like the standalone version. Its currently on version 0.195.
