legolas119
Hi, i'm using the updated MAME UI v.201, with special hlsl set up, in order to perfectly emulate Neo Geo games. But which is the best emualtor for Neo Geo CD? I would like to try some games for this console, is there a good tutorial that i can follow? thanks! DOS76
you can just use MAME itself you need to put in a associated platform for it under MAME and add the command neogeocd -cdrom
legolas119
mmm...it is very good because i really like MAME and its filters and interface but...i'm sorry, i'm not able to configure additional platforms on it...is there a tutorial in order to to it? I know that now MESS is embedded in MAME so with only one emulator i can emulate not only arcade games but consoles too. Can you help me in order to configure the neo geo cd emulator? After that, where I have to put its games? thanks!
Lordmonkus
The correct command line parameter you need is neocdz -cdrm
DOS76
was wrong on the system name but -cdrm and -cdrom both work

In Launchbox go to tools/manage emulators, double click your MAME entry, and then click on the associated platforms tab, like this. Then go to the empty cell there and double click it, enter the name of your platform, and the command line that was given to you above, so it would look like this. Same as any other system, make sure your games work in the emulator of your choice first then import the files into LB.
DJTV
Thanks for your reply I'm using Mess do i need to put the .chd in the roms folder of the mess or games folder launch box along with the bios zipped, neocd.zip neocdz.zip?
Lordmonkus
Mess / Mame only needs to know what folder your bios is located in, you can place them in, this setting can be set in the mame.ini file or using whatever UI you are using.
