Strubdog Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 Help, I'm trying to set up the The Sega Model 2 Emulalator first and then I'll import it in Launchbox. I have setup the config file to find my roms: I then try to run my test rom (In this case, Dead or Alive). I get the following screen: I have tried both the multicpu and regular exe files. Thanks Quote
proghodet Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 At line 9 in your config, try throwing double-quotes around your filepath, such as this: "C:\users\timot\LaunchBox\Games\Sega Model 2". It needs those quotes to properly interpret a filepath with spaces in it. Quote
Strubdog Posted February 2, 2019 Author Posted February 2, 2019 Just tried that, I get the same result. Quote
proghodet Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 (edited) The rom-files are zipped, yes? Edited February 2, 2019 by proghodet Quote
Retro808 Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 Should not take much to get it running. Unless you have bad roms. If your roms are zipped like @proghodet asked check to see the files it says are missing are contained. Really just as simple as pointing to the rom directory. It should work without quotes for the rom location. Did you try other games and get the same errors? Quote
Strubdog Posted February 2, 2019 Author Posted February 2, 2019 Looks like it was bad rom file. Quote
Demonscythe Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 I'm having the same problem. I had it running perfectly, but had to reinstall Windows. Now the emulator keeps telling me "There are missing files. Load aborted" I've tried re-downloading the emulator and the ROMs, but I'm still getting the same problem. I don't understand what has changed. Quote
blevinshousehold Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 I recently had this same issue. I found that if I ran the Configurator.exe that came with the package I downloaded from archive.org (link here unless it is disallowed: I assigned the LB Games directory I assigned to these ROMs, clicked Save, then relaunched LB, it worked after that. Hope this helps. Quote
ADarkBard Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 This helped me a great deal. I've been banging my head against this wall for a couple months now. It worked on my old PC but not my new. I never thought about the extra DirectX files. Quote
