madtanks Posted July 31, 2019 Author Posted July 31, 2019 Few more files to hopefully help resolve this. Mameini.txt Quote
spycat Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 In your mame.ini file under CORE ARTWORK OPTIONS you have use_bezels set to 0 instead of 1 Quote
madtanks Posted July 31, 2019 Author Posted July 31, 2019 OK I just changed that to 1. This is what I get. Its the same on every game. Quote
spycat Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 It looks like you're getting a default bezel of sorts. Are you using an official MAME version or a compile with default artwork built in? I see you have default horizontal and vertical zips and pngs in your artwork folder. 1 Quote
madtanks Posted August 1, 2019 Author Posted August 1, 2019 Looks like the problem was those default zips..I deleted them and now eveything works fine. Thankyou Quote
madtanks Posted August 3, 2019 Author Posted August 3, 2019 (edited) Hi Again. Can anyone tell me what these white lines are and how i can get rid of them. Seems to just be on the games that have bezels. Edited August 3, 2019 by madtanks Quote

madtanks Posted August 3, 2019 Author Posted August 3, 2019 Yes that is cpt america, but as i said, it just seems to be the games that have the bezel art. I dont have bezels for all games. The ones that play without them dont have those lines on. Ive just tested around 15 games with bezels and the all have those lines. Quote
Lordmonkus Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 That sounds like something going on with the bezel, if you turn off bezels do those same games display that issue ? Quote
madtanks Posted August 3, 2019 Author Posted August 3, 2019 OK so not sure wots going.. Ive just turned bezels off, load the game from launchbox and the bezels are still on and i still have the same white lines..... Quote
madtanks Posted August 3, 2019 Author Posted August 3, 2019 Is there a mame setup that i can get hold of that is already configured properly...seem to be having issue after issue at the mo. Ill i want is for the games to work with the bezel art and no white lines now i cant even turn the bezels off. Quote
Lordmonkus Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Unless you are using RocketLauncher you should just be able to turn off bezels in the mame.ini and test quickly. Also I am pretty certain you can toggle them while Mame is running in the Tab menu. Quote

DOS76 Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 in your ini folder do you have a game specific ini for that game if so you will have to turn off the setting there or it will over ride the setting in the MAME.ini Quote
madtanks Posted August 4, 2019 Author Posted August 4, 2019 Hiya. I Deleted all but the roms and got a newer mame64 setup. Everything seems to be ok. One problem i have now though is that I dont have a mame.ini file. I kinda need this to that i can add cheats and make some changes. I tried downloading a mame.ini from somewhere but it just stopped everything from working so I deleted it. Any help would be nice. cheers Quote
DOS76 Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 open MAME without a game loaded go to configuration options click on it then go to save configuration despite the fact you didn't change anything this will create the ini file. 1 Quote
