The badge images weren't getting extracted from the dll. I believe this has been resolved in LaunchBox. Did it create a .dll file when it completed? Yes I have ...\LB Custom Badge\Stuff\ClassLibrary4\ClassLibrary4\bin\Debug\netcoreapp3.1 Badge Nintendo.dll Badge Nintendo.pdp ClassLibrary4.deps.json Unbroken.LaunchBox.Plugins.dll ----------------------------------------------------------- 1) Copying Badge Nintendo.dll ...\LaunchBox\Plugins After a restart I can Enable the Nintendo badge but it gets deselected again (doesn't work) 2) Copying the source image dc1eqix-b399c73e-3aeb-49fa-8638-c0d94d518d75.png into ...\LaunchBox\Images\Media Packs\Badges\Nostalgic Platform Badges and renaming it I have tried both the unique id "Nintendo" used to generate the badge and the same name as the dll "Badge Nintendo" keeping the file extension in both cases. I get the same result as before, no badge showing and it gets deselected. Edited 3 hours ago by lappen81 Quote

I copied your dll file into /LaunchBox/Plugins/Badge Nintendo.dll Started LaunchBox it automatically extracted the image file into \LaunchBox\Images\Media Packs\Overrides\Badges\Nintendo.png Added to these 2 games the Custom Field Source with a value of Nintendo Note: the Name and Value MUST be exactly as shown. "source" is not the same as "Source" same with nintendo and Nintendo Went to the Badges menu Enable Badges checked Plugins Badges > Enable Nintendo checked The badge for those 2 games appeared Are you working with a premium LaunchBox License? Or are you testing on a free version? Quote

OMG I'm so stupid, premium license and it works I was just assuming that the "custom field" in the plugin named Source was supposed to refer the stock Metadata field named Source Creating a new custom field solved it So sorry but just a follow-up question, can I actually refer to the Metadata field called Source instead of a custom field?
