Added games for PS1 before extracting. Am I an idiot?

Hi all,

Total noob here. I have a PAL collection of PS1 roms that are all zipped as .rar 

I forgot to unzip each game before adding them to LunachBox. I have a EMUmoves subscription so when I added the games to my library it took a good while to download all this content.

When i tried to launch a game I noticed damn.. i didn't bloody extract each game so LaunchBox is pointing at the .rar file instead of the .bin file i've now unzipped.

Do I have to manually edit each game under launch options to point to the correct sub folder or is there another way to pick up my changes. Would it be fast/less work  to just remove everything and start again. I'm more worried about the time it took to download the pictures/movies from EMU.

Just remove the games from LB and re-import the cue files (assuming they they are cue + bin format) and deselect all the media during the importer, all your old media should still all work and your import should only take a minute or so.

Is it not working if you enable extract ROM files before running in RetroArch?

I was thinking of trying that but then read it can take a while to extract the game and I did want the launch of the game from bigbox to be a quick as possible.

However DeadVoivod's suggestion worked great.

I imported all my PS1 games zipped. I ticked the 'Extract ROM archives before running' and they all boot and run fine. No need to unzip anything, and the games extract in no time

That will depend on whats in the zip, i have seen games with dozens of different files in them. If using retroarch you could also convert them all to CHD you will get good file size savings and they dont need unzipping at all.

I imported 1,300 zipped roms and every one work so I guess I got lucky regarding the zip contents

My mame Roms work through mame but when I try and add them to launch box they don’t work all my other systems work besides mame also how do I add casino games so I need an emulator for that?
