Are earlier Android licenses no longer valid?

Hi, I purchased an Android license way back during the first kick at the Android can for Launchbox. I didn't use it for a long, long time but the pc connected to my tv died recently, so I have dusted off my Nvidia Shield. I am setting up Launchbox and received the download via email but right away it is telling me that I hit the 100 game limit and I need to buy a license?

 

Is that accurate?

You can email support@unbrokensoftware.com and provide the email connected with your google play purchase, and a license for the resurrected Launchbox for Android will be provided to you.

One other quick, possibly related question, if you don't mind. When I go to import games, I tried Sega Genesis first, and it went fine until I hit the license limit. 

I noticed, now, though that if I try to import more, it no longer sees all the roms folders. For example, it does not see my SNES folder to import. Would that be due to the license limit being hit, do you think?

Probably not license related, but it won't launch a Sega game. It just sits at Launching...   forever.

I'm just using the default Retroarch Plus for platform.

Well, I rebooted and now the game does not stick on Launching...but instead goes to a black screen forever.

So far this is not very much fun. I had forgotten how annoying Android setups can be.

@dmaker If you're still having trouble getting games to work with RetroArch, make sure you're using the sideloaded version (download the APK directly from the RetroArch website and not from the Google Play Store). Unfortunately Google has forced RetroArch to cripple the version in the Play Store and it has many issues.

Oh, thank you. I did not know that. I am struggling to get consistent controller functionality and it's driving me slightly crazy.

 

I will try the sideloaded version.

I tried the sideload version but that just ended up that no roms would play at all.  They just loaded to a black screen. Going to try the play store version again...

Well now the play store version won't install. It's failed three times now and any subsequent attempts show nothing happens at all. No directories created, nothing. 

 

Android is fun.

Apparently the 6th or 7th time is the charm.  Although I mapped the 4 buttons the way I prefer, when I load a game, they are back to the RA defaults.  sigh

Is there a way to purchase Launchbox and get past 100 game limit on Nvidia Shield Pro? Had to sideload so obviously won't let me pay through play store....

If you purchased the old Android app via the Play Store in the past you can reach out to support@unbrokensoftware.com about it and they can get you a license for the new app. If you didn't you can purchase a license for Android here.
