BigBox Locking up soon after going into Attract Mode in version 13.19

Thread topic sort of says it all, in version 3.18 on my dual driving cabs the attract mode could run all night, still be going the next day. Since the update a few hours ago, after multiple reboots and full shutdowns, attract mode maybe lasts 5-10 minutes then locks up, on both computers. Which are Windows 11 for what its worth.

Are you using VLC for your media player in BigBox? Try changing the media player to Window Media Player and I bet it solves your problem. I have the same problem along with other users and switching to WMP fixed the problem.

Thanks for the reply, sadly I was already using Media Player.. Just for fun I switched to VLC.. Both machines locked up tight.. I will be switching back to Media Player, though, for me, it is not a fix.

I am also experiencing this issue after upgrading to 3.19. Choice of media player has had no effect for me either.

For testing purposes, I rolled back to 3.18 and left both my driving cabs on last night, came down to work this morning and they were both running like a champ, attract mode in full effect. It is without question something in the update. I am sure the team will get it sorted.

The same thing happens to me. I'm browsing platform or game menus (it doesn't matter) and BigBox freezes. I have to close it from task manager. I hope they solve it.

Sorry to hear about the issues here. To help try to narrow this down, for those on 13.19 having the issue, can you confirm if it's ONLY when running attract mode?

I.e if you're leaving Big Box running without attract mode, will it still lock up?

If anyone is able to confirm this, it will help us greatly in trying to narrow this down.

Having the same issue, following.  I'm letting mine run now, and I turned the attract mode off.  I will check it later tonight.

My Bigbox has been running for an hour with attract mode turned OFF, is still running, and hasn't crashed. 

I will turn on Attract mode and let it run again.

Well, never mind.  You can't make this up; it crashed while attract mode turned off.  I clicked my mouse, and it crashed on me.

Update: I did restart my pc (after BigBox crashed) and let BigBox run all night.  

This morning it is still running with attract mode turned off.

Any other update?  I do not have an old plugin running, and it still crashes during attract mode today.

HI Folks, 

We're still investigating to understand the cause here, as we're not able to fully reproduce this yet.

Right now, while I realise some people have reported this hasn't helped, others have said that switching the video playback engine from VLC to Windows Media player has helped with this. For those who haven't, it would be worth making that change to see if it has any effect. I'd also suggest following that known issue so that you can see any updates we post.

Will update this thread as soon as we know more. Apologies for the issues here.

I’m having same issue after update. Attract mode is on, windows 11, but seems to happens as I’m just scrolling through games. Or maybe stopped on 1 game then start to move to another and boom, locks up.

1) What theme are you using?
2) What platform view are you using?
3) What game view are you using?
4) Do you let attract mode change platforms or no?
